Obřadní kámen je ještě od krve. Pár kapek je jasným svědectvím, že se zde minulou noc pořádal okultní rituál. Vyděšená tvář, tělo bez srdce. Vše je na první pohled jasné. Divné jsou jenom symboly, které nemohu rozluštit. Ve jménu pradávné bestie. Ve jménu nekonečné smrti. Je tu ještě jedna věc. Přehrávač na kazety a v něm hudba pro vyvolávání temných sil. EVIL DAMN z Peru a jejich ošklivý a mokvající death metal, se krásně hodí k pochmurné atmosféře starého pohřebiště.
Pokaždé, když si vybírám album, o kterém chci napsat, tak jej několik dní poslouchám. Musím mít chuť se k němu vrátit. "Necronomicon" jsem si dával do hlavy během sychravých dní. Otevřel se přede mnou záhadný svět H.P. Lovercrafta a já mohl ochutnat z pestré palety ošklivých fantazií.
Death metal v podání EVIL DAMN je starý a prašivý. Morbidní ze své podstaty a inspirovaný kapelami jako NECROPHAGIST, MORBID ANGEL, starými GORGUTS. Peruáncům koluje v žilách zkažená krev. Dokáží být divocí a zničující. Zároveň umí navodit uvěřitelné nihilistické nálady. O pradávných rituálech smrti toho bylo napsáno již mnoho, ale tady se můžete setkat s nahrávkou, která je špinavá, reálná, smradlavá jako stoka pod vaším městem. Samozřejmostí je prašivý zvuk, démonický obal, ale hlavně velká spousta zajímavých a zvrácených hudebních nápadů. Riffy mě řežou a pálí, smrt je při poslechu hodně blízko. Navíc cítím ze skladeb síru, což je pro mě vždy příslibem blízkosti pekla. Myslím si, že staří fanoušci death metalu, mezi které se hrdě hlásím, budou určitě spokojeni. Dostanete zde totiž vše potřebné. Černou jiskru, čerstvě otevřené hroby. Ve vzduchu se houpají další oběšenci. Oběti byly připraveny a příšera z hlubin se zase jednou zakousla do čerstvého masa. Pokud uctíváte svět H.P. Lovercafta a rádi trávíte svůj čas v nekonečných močálech nicoty, je deska "Necronomicon" určena přímo pro vás. Ožijí před vámi dávno opuštěná pohřebiště, kam byly pohřbívány ostatky všech prokletých. Morbidní, krvavý rituál smrti!
