Vždycky mě fascinovala mlha, která se vznáší nad močálem. Už jako malý jsem se rád toulal sám lesem a naslouchal jeho nářku. Viděl jsem šelmy lovit, viděl jsem umírat jejich oběti. Nacházel jsem mrtvá těla s prázdným pohledem. Jenže tentokrát to bylo jiné. První oběť byla zohavená tak, že se mi udělalo špatně. To nemohl být člověk, nechápal jsem a nechtěl si připustit, že i takové bestie žijí mezi námi. Zahlédl jsem ji zatím jen jednou. Postavu bez tváře, s jedovatým úsměvem a ostrým nožem v ruce. Je vám doufám jasné, kdo byl další na řadě.

Když jsem se začal topit v bažině a rostliny mě stahovaly dolů do hlubin, pohlédl jsem do tváře své smrti. Cítil jsem se úplně stejně, jako při poslechu nové debutové desky skotských TYMVOS. Kapely, která moc dobře ví, o čem je hnusná, ošklivá a bolestivá smrt. Jejich album "World of Abominations" je toho jasným důkazem a potvrzením. Shnijete zaživa!


Je vlastně jedno, z jakých močálů kapela přišla. Jestli z těch floridských (MORBID ANGEL) nebo ze skotských. Hlavní je celkový dojem, nejen to, kým se nechali TYMVOS volně inspirovat. Jejich smrtící kov je mrtvolný, hnisavý, temný a chladný, právě jako ranní mrazivá mlha nad hřbitovem. Skladby jsou napsány velmi dobře, zkušeně a mají v sobě potřebný drive a sílu. Potkáte tu nejen feeling devadesátých let, ale také spoustu vlastních nápadů a invence. Pánové sice nijak nevystupují ze zažitých postupů, ale abych pravdu řekl, tak mi to vůbec nevadí. Naopak, mám rád takový ten smradlavý odér rozkládajícího se masa. Zvuk, obal, celkové provedení, vše je stylové a v absolutním pořádku. Úplně před sebou vidím dávno opuštěnou márnici, ve které uspořádá tahle smečka koncert. Sestoupíte dolů, do sklepa, usednete na dřevěné stoly, na kterých ještě nedávno ležely mrtvoly. Zazní první riff, první melodie a najednou už nebudete na malém hřbitově za městem, kde se pohřbívali prokletí, ale uprostřed krvavých močálů plných reálné smrti. Když "World of Abominations" poslouchám, tak si připadám, jako bych proséval mezi prsty prach dávno rozdrcených kostí. Skladby se valí kupředu jako buldozer, neznající slitování. Vy si tak můžete vychutnat hudbu, která vás doslova rozseká na malé kousky. Budím se pokaždé uprostřed noci. Beru do rukou lopatu, sekyru a jdu exhumovat další hrob. Poslední dobou má každé tělo ve svých rukou tuhle desku. Nedivím se, je totiž výborná a ocení ji všichni tmáři a fanoušci pohřbů do země. Vždycky mě fascinovala mlha, která se vznáší nad močálem. Už jako malý jsem se rád toulal sám lesem a naslouchal jeho nářku. Viděl jsem šelmy lovit, viděl jsem umírat jejich oběti. Nacházel jsem mrtvá těla s prázdným pohledem. Jenže tentokrát to bylo jiné. První oběť byla zohavená tak, že se mi udělalo špatně. Mrtvolný, morbidní, surový a hnilobný death metal, po kterém zůstanou jenom zohavená těla! Nahrubo nasekaná tma!

I've always been fascinated by the mist that hovers over the swamp. Even as a child, I loved to wander alone through the forest and listen to its cries. I've seen the beasts hunt, I've seen their victims die. I found dead bodies with blank stares. But this time it was different. The first victim was so mutilated it made me sick. It couldn't have been human, I didn't understand and I didn't want to admit that such beasts live among us. I've only seen her once so far. A faceless figure with a venomous smile and a sharp knife in her hand. I hope you can see who was next.

As I began to drown in the swamp and the plants pulled me down into the depths, I looked into the face of my death. I felt exactly the same as I did listening to the new debut album from Scotland's TYMVOS. A band that knows all too well what an ugly, nasty and painful death is all about. Their album "World of Abominations" is a clear proof and confirmation of that. You are rotting alive!


It doesn't really matter what swamps the band came from. Whether from the Florida ones (MORBID ANGEL) or from the Scottish ones. The main thing is the overall impression, not only who TYMVOS were inspired by. Their death metal is dead, festering, dark and cold, just like the morning frosty mist over a graveyard. The songs are well written, experienced and have the necessary drive and power. You'll not only encounter a 90's feel here, but also a lot of their own ideas and inventiveness. The gentlemen don't really break out of the established routines, but to be honest, I don't mind that at all. On the contrary, I like the smelly odour of decomposing meat. The sound, the cover, the overall performance, everything is stylish and absolutely fine. I can see a long-abandoned morgue in front of me, where this bunch is going to give a concert. You go down to the basement, sit on the wooden tables where the corpses were lying not long ago. The first riff, the first melody, and suddenly you're no longer in a small cemetery outside of town where the damned used to be buried, but in the middle of a bloody swamp full of real death. Listening to "World of Abominations", I feel like I'm sifting through the dust of long-crushed bones between my fingers. The songs roll forward like a bulldozer, showing no mercy. You get to enjoy music that literally shreds you into little pieces. I wake up in the middle of the night every time. I pick up a shovel and an axe and go to exhume another grave. Lately, every body has this record in their hands. I'm not surprised, because it's excellent and appreciated by all darkies and fans of in-ground burials. I've always been fascinated by the mist that hovers over the swamp. Even as a child I loved to wander alone in the woods and listen to its cries. A few questions - interview with death metal band from United Kingdom - TYMVOS.

Answered Gerorge (vocals, bass), thank you!

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.?

Hail! We are Tymvos and we are an Old School Death Metal band based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The band was founded by George (Demonic Obedience, Death Kommander, As I Suffer Silently) on the vocals and bass, Mark (Demonic Obedience, Death Kommander, Storm-winged and Krux Aega) on the guitars and Leo on the drums. We started rehearsing and writing original material in December 2019 and in February of 2021 we released our first Demo. Many live performances followed and after a while we decided to add Marcel to the line up as the lead guitarist. Finally, we released our debut album ‘World of Abominations‘‘ on the 1st of March 2024 and we can’t wait to hit the stage again!

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

We are big supporters of the DIY movement so we recorded both the Demo and ‘‘World of Abominations‘‘ on our own. For the full length, our very good friend Miroslaw Synoradzki took all the files after we recorded our parts and worked on sounds, samples and the whole production in general. After all the mixing and production was done, another old friend of ours, George Seremetis, did the mastering and the album was ready to be released. We couldn’t be happier with the result. All of us, including Miroslaw and George, worked really hard and I believe that the final product is beyond our expectations.


How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

Macho Records pressed 100 limited marble green vinyls and Huangquan Records produced 500 CDs and 100 tapes if I am not mistaken. Great quality from both labels, I have to add.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

We split the lyric duties in half. For example, in ‘‘World of Abominations‘‘, Leo wrote the lyrics for 4 songs and I did the rest. Usually, when I am reading a book, I get inspired and I try to write some lyrics about it. And the same happens with Leo, I believe. He is more into the fantasy side of things (Demons, Dark places, etc) and I write about religion, serial killers and stuff like this. So, I would say that we have a good balance between dark fantasy and dark reality.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

The logo was created by Mark, our guitarist. Now, when it comes to graphics, we usually get the help of friends or hire someone. The cover of the full length was painted by a very talented artist called Yara. I sent to her my ideas and a few days later she sent the final painting. You should check her profile on Instagram, Yara_artworks (https://www.instagram.com/yara_artworks). As for the social networks, although I hate posting things too often, they are THE WAY to promote your band. And to tell you the truth, I believe it is better this way. Bands have the chance to do everything on their own without the need of a label which means that you don’t have to lick any asses. Go out and spread the word!


Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

Macho Records is a great underground label in Scotland and we are proud to be in their roster. Kendo, Macho’s main man, is a very good friend of ours (he even contributed a solo in ‘‘Herald of Malice‘‘) so when he offered to release the album, we couldn’t be happier. He is a very straight up guy and also very well connected. It seemed only right to us to collaborate with him. We also had the CD and tape versions of the album released by Huangquan Records in China. They are supporting OSDM bands like us and we made a deal with them because we wanted to reach people outside Europe.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We love pretty much all the 80s/90s OSDM bands. They are our main influence and inspiration. You know, bands like Morbid Angel, Death, Cancer, Benediction and so many more started the whole movement and we would never do what we do today without them. But except the big names, we are also inspired by smaller local bands like Braibath, Coffin Mulch, Penny Coffin, Rancid Cadaver, Ageless Summoning, to mention a few. They are all great and they are the future of Death Metal. Mark my words!

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

We did send some samples to a few labels and usually we were getting a good feedback but unfortunately for us, business is business and not many labels would be interested to invest in a new band like us. To be honest with you, Macho and Huangquan did a brilliant job so we don’t really care anymore. We will carry on doing our best anyway, signed on a big label or not.


How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

We played quite a few gigs so far and we have many more to come, especially now that our debut album is out. We prefer to play gigs with other Death Metal or at least extreme Metal bands because we don’t particularly enjoy playing in front of people who can’t understand our music. It can be a gig in a club or a festival and it will be the same too us as long as we share the stage with like-minded people. For instance, my 2 favourite gigs so far were the Sonic Dissonance festival and the Dead of Winter festival where we played together with some of the best OSDM acts in Scotland. It was absolute CHAOS!

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

As I said above, we have a lot of gigs coming and we already started writing new material. Hopefully, it won’t take us too long to come up with the next album. As for our future targets or achievements as you said, we would love to start playing gigs across the UK and why not in Europe. Time will tell.

Přepínáš programy na televizi, listuješ stránkami na internetu. Všude jenom sex a násilí. Někdy máš pocit, že ti pukne hlava, že se zblázníš. Protože nežiješ v krásném světě z reklamy, protože vstáváš brzy a piješ levné pivo. Špinavé ulice tvého města, otrocká práce, lidé povalující se na zemi. Chudoba, špína a krutá, ošklivá smrt v kontrastu s lesklými stránkami módních časopisů. 

Z obrazovek vytéká zkažená krev a další zástupy pochodují na smrt. Existuje jenom jedno řešení. Říci všem jedno velké FUCK YOU! a pustit si nové EP holandských grinderů HEADLESS DAWN. Našim čtenářům jsme kapelu již představovali. Máme i parádní rozhovor (články jsou odkazovány dole pod recenzí). Opět se jedná o jízdu přímo do pekla. O vysokooktanový nářez, u kterého vám pukne lebka tlakem. 


Přesunuli jsme veřejné popravy do vysílání, díváme se na gladiátory v klecích. Víc násilí, víc akce, další dávka dopaminu. Holanďané jdou opět k jádru věci, jsou nekompromisní a abych pravdu řekl, tak s jejich texty naplno souhlasím. Líbí se mi i zvuk, který je neučesaný, hnilobný, surový, jako ulice na periferii vašeho města. Máte rádi kapely jako REPULSION, TERRORIZER, CARNIVORE, S.O.D., NAUSEA, IMPETIGO, MACHETAZO, CARCASS? Potom jděte do toho. Budete po zásluze odměněni totálním šílenstvím, které může nabídnout pouze tenhle styl. Beru do rukou kladivo a mlátím do televize, vyhazuji počítač z okna, otevírám si radši pivo a večer zajdu do malého klubu. Zařvu si z plných plic spolu s kapelou, budu pařit, dokud si nepolámu všechny kosti v těle. HEADLESS DAWN vás roztrhají na kusy a vy za to budete ještě rádi. Je to klasický, tradiční masakr, přesně jako to mám rád. Nikde nic nepřebývá, nikde nic nechybí a jde se rovnou k věci. Přiznám se bez mučení, že jsem se k "Freakshow Ballet" rád a často vracel. Nechtělo se mi nic psát, raději jsem jen tak poslouchal a to prosím pěkně, pořádně nahlas. Je to temná, divoká nahrávka, je v ní velký kus naštvanosti, živočišnosti. Možná jsem starý pes a moje názory jsou dávno překonané, ale tohle je muzika, kterou budu vždy rád a s chutí podporovat. Koluje totiž i v mých žilách. Díváme se kolem sebe podobnýma očima. Nelze jinak, než chválit a opatřit EP známkou kvality. Přepínáš programy na televizi, listuješ stránkami na internetu. Všude jenom sex a násilí. Někdy máš pocit, že ti pukne hlava, že se zblázníš. Protože nežiješ v krásném světě z reklamy, protože vstáváš brzy a piješ levné pivo. Zničující, divoký grind death metal, který vám ukáže hnusnou, špinavou a krutou realitu dnešního podivného světa! Fuck you!

You're flipping channels on the TV, scrolling through pages on the Internet. It's all sex and violence. Sometimes you feel like your head's gonna explode, you're gonna go crazy. Because you don't live in the beautiful world of the commercials, because you wake up early and drink cheap beer. The dirty streets of your city, the slave labor, the people lying on the ground. Poverty, squalor and a cruel, ugly death in contrast to the glossy pages of fashion magazines. 

Corrupted blood oozing from the screens, and more crowds marching to their deaths. There is only one solution. Say one big FUCK YOU! and listen to the new EP from Dutch grinders HEADLESS DAWN. We've already introduced the band to our readers. We also have an awesome interview (articles are linked below the review). Again, it is a ride straight to hell. A high-octane blast that will make your skull burst with pressure. 


We've moved the public executions to broadcast, we're looking at gladiators in cages. More violence, more action, another dose of dopamine. The Dutch are going to the heart of the matter again, they're uncompromising and to be honest, I agree with their lyrics completely. I also like the sound, which is unkempt, rotten, raw, like the streets on the outskirts of your city. Do you like bands like REPULSION, TERRORIZER, CARNIVORE, S.O.D., NAUSEA, IMPETIGO, MACHETAZO, CARCASS? Then go for it. You will be deservedly rewarded with the total insanity that only this style can offer. I'm picking up a hammer and hitting the TV, throwing my computer out the window, opening a beer instead, and going to a small club in the evening. I'll scream at the top of my lungs with the band, party till I break every bone in my body. HEADLESS DAWN will tear you apart and you will be glad you did. It's classic, traditional carnage, just the way I like it. Nothing is missing, nothing is missing and it gets straight to the point. I will admit without torture that I like to come back to "Freakshow Ballet" often. I didn't want to write anything, I preferred to just listen, and please do it nicely, out loud. It's a dark, wild record, there's a lot of angry, animalistic stuff in it. Maybe I'm an old dog and my views are long outdated, but this is music I will always love and support with gusto. It runs through my veins. We look around us with similar eyes. I can't help but praise and stamp the EP with the quality mark. You flip through the channels on TV, you scroll through the pages on the Internet. It's all sex and violence everywhere. Sometimes you feel like your head's gonna explode, you're gonna go crazy. Because you don't live in the beautiful world of advertising, because you wake up early and drink cheap beer. Devastating, savage grind death metal that shows you the ugly, dirty and cruel reality of today's strange world! Fuck you!

Jsou noční můry, které se neustále opakují. V téhle se probouzíš uprostřed noci a máš neodbytný pocit, že je někdo stojí ve stínu. Nemá žádnou tvář, přesto se usmívá. Slyšíš neklidný šepot. Přišel si pro tebe. Tvůj vlastní démon. Otisk těch nejtemnějších myšlenek. Zasekne do tebe svůj ostrý dráp a už tě nikdy nepustí. Budete se spolu toulat nekonečnými smradlavými močály a poslouchat u toho novou desku APPARITION z Kalifornie. Kapely, která dokáže svojí hudbou vyvolat absolutní tmu. 

Je to nekonečně děsivá exhumace starého hrobu, ve kterém bylo kdysi uloženo vaše tělo. Zvuk nahrávky je vynikající, notně špinavý, mokvající. Smrdí zkaženým masem i sírou. Odkryjete postupně jednotlivé vrstvy a po nějakém čase se vám dostane deska do krve. Způsobí vám v žilách led a naučíte se díky ní rozmlouvat s ostatními nemrtvými. Poslouchejte pozorně. Nejlépe v chladu a o samotě. 


Doomová nálada starých hřbitovů. Do náhrobků jsou otištěny nářky kdysi mučených, ponižovaných a nakonec pohřbených zaživa. Nové album "Disgraced Emanations from a Tranquil State" se mi dostalo až do podvědomí, hluboko do mé mysli. Zanechalo tam po sobě hlubokou krvavou stopu. Pánové opět napsali skvělé skladby, u kterých budete mezi prsty prosévat prach svých předků. Američané umí být záhadní, děsiví, svým způsobem i progresivní, jindy zase techničtí takovým tím zničujícím způsobem. Možná znáte ten pocit, když si nejste jistí, jestli sedíte na správné straně zdi. Svázáni v nepřirozené poloze. Tvrdí o vás, že jste šílení. Jste to ale doopravdy vy? Když poslouchám tuhle desku, tak si tím nejsem úplně jistý. Má v sobě totiž takový zvláštní, přitažlivý a podmanivý neklid. Budete ji sice muset rozkrývat postupně, po jednotlivých vrstvách, ale když vydržíte, budete odměněni skvělým morbidním zážitkem. Hudba se zde nejdřív plazí jako jedovatý had, aby vás nakonec uštkla a vy zemřete v nekonečných křečích. Je to svým způsobem hodně extrémní nahrávka, s parádním zvukem i obalem. Jedná se ale hlavně o temně chladnou a smradlavou exhumaci. Fanoušci třeba takových INCANTATION, AUTOPSY, DISMA, CRUCIAMENTUM, FUNEBRARUM, FATHER BEFOULED, VASTUM, DECREPISY, OSSUARIUM, MORGUE, mi zajisté má slova potvrdí. Máte vlastně jen dvě možnosti. Buď přistoupit na nečistou a šílenou hru téhle smečky nebo utéct pryč. Osobně jsem se rád budil uprostřed noci. Podanou ruku jsme přijal vždy, když byla kolem mě neprostupná tma. Jsou noční můry, které se neustále opakují. V téhle se probouzím uprostřed noci a mám neodbytný pocit, že někdo stojí ve stínu. Nemá žádnou tvář, přesto se usmívá. Slyším neklidný šepot. Přišel si pro mě. Morbidně hnilobný, drásavě krvavý death metalový výlet do nekonečných močálů lidského utrpení! Bolest, chlad a temnota!

There are nightmares that keep recurring. In this one, you wake up in the middle of the night with the insistent feeling that someone is standing in the shadows. They have no face, yet they are smiling. You hear a restless whisper. He has come for you. Your own demon. The imprint of your darkest thoughts. It will sink its sharp claw into you and never let you go. You'll wander endless stinking swamps together, listening to the new APPARITION record from California. A band that can create absolute darkness with their music.

It's an endlessly terrifying exhumation of the old grave where your body was once buried. The sound of the recording is excellent, a bit dirty, wet. It smells of rotten flesh and sulphur. You uncover the layers one by one and after some time the record gets into your blood. It will cause ice in your veins and you will learn to talk to other undead. Listen carefully. Preferably in the cold and alone.


Doom mood of old cemeteries. The tombstones are imprinted with the lamentations of those once tortured, humiliated and finally buried alive. The new album "Disgraced Emanations from a Tranquil State" has reached my subconscious, deep into my mind. It left a deep trail of blood. Once again the gentlemen have written great songs that will have you sifting the dust of your ancestors through your fingers. The Americans can be mysterious, eerie, progressive in their own way, and at other times techy in that devastating way. You may know the feeling when you're not sure if you're sitting on the right side of the wall. Tied in an unnatural position. They say you're crazy. But are you really? Listening to this record, I'm not so sure. Because it has this strange, attractive, captivating restlessness about it. You'll have to unravel it gradually, layer by layer, but if you hang in there, you'll be rewarded with a great morbid experience. The music here crawls like a venomous snake at first, only to eventually bite you and leave you dying in endless spasms. It's a very extreme record in a way, with a great sound and cover. But it is mainly a darkly cold and smelly exhumation. Fans of such bands as INCANTATION, AUTOPSY, DISMA, CRUCIAMENTUM, FUNEBRARUM, FATHER BEFOULED, VASTUM, DECREPISY, OSSUARIUM, MORGUE, will surely confirm my words. You actually have only two choices. You can either go along with this pack's dirty and insane game or you can run away. Personally, I like to wake up in the middle of the night. I accepted a handshake whenever the darkness was impenetrable around me. There are nightmares that keep recurring. In this one, I wake up in the middle of the night with the insistent feeling that someone is standing in the shadows. They have no face, yet they're smiling. I hear a restless whisper. He's come for me. A morbidly rotten, blood-curdling death metal trip into the endless swamps of human misery! Pain, cold and darkness!

Sedíš ve svém pokoji a drásáš si obličej do krve. Připadá ti, že se celý svět točí stále rychleji dokola. Čím dál tím víc informací, čím dál tím víc nenávisti. Už dávno nemáš strach z Boha, ani z temných stínů. Děsí tě vlastní já. Připadáš si, jakoby ti někdo zatloukl do mozku obrovský trychtýř. Temná hmota z vesmíru tě zcela ovládá. Jsi blázen ty, nebo ti za zdí? Otázek je mnoho a odpovědi nepřicházejí. Falešných proroků je už příliš. Řežeš se nožem do rukou a pouštíš si jenom hudbu, která tě dokáže rozsekat. Potřebuješ víc bolesti, rychlosti, víc riffů a úderů bicích.

Italští HIDEOUS DIVINITY ještě nikdy nebyli tak majestátní, vznešení. Mocné nástupy, strach z kosmu, surový brutální death metal, pochybnosti o vlastní existenci. Tohle vše zde naleznete a ještě mnoho navíc. Když jsem se s novinkou seznamoval, seděl jsem opravdu sám ve svém pokoji. Postupně jsem přidával hlasitost a skladby se mi postupně dostávaly do mozku. Když mi propláchli lebku kyselinou, cítil jsem se očištěný. Nové album chce více času, je v určitých momentech nepřístupné. Musíte mít fantazii a trpělivost. Touhu objevovat. Potom pochopíte. 


U podobných nahrávek více než kde jinde platí, že je vždy lepší si vše v klidu poslechnout a potom si udělat vlastní názor. Slova nejsou dostatečným výrazovým prostředkem. Přesto se pokusím vám nové album připodobnit. Za prvé, promo materiály hovoří o lehké podobnosti a inspiraci třeba takovými NILE, CATTLE DECAPITATION, SUFFOCATION, ULCERATE, HATE ETERNAL a BEHEMOTH. S tím lze souhlasit, ale také je rovnou nutno dodat, že HIDEOUS DIVINITY jsou natolik originálním tělesem, že jsou jakákoliv přirovnání spíše zbytečná. Pánové mají svůj vlastní rukopis, dokáží vytvořit celkově velmi pochmurnou a temnou atmosféru. Umí být techničtí a progresivní, v určitých momentech i neuchopitelní, ale stále si zachovávají potřebný drive a sílu. "Unextinct" má samozřejmě skvělý současný a čitelný zvuk, zajímavý obal, ale hlavně vás chytí, zasekne do vás dráp a nepustí vás. Alespoň mě se to stalo. Chvilku to trvalo, musel jsem rozkrýt jednotlivé vrstvy, což samozřejmě chtělo určitou dávku trpělivosti a empatie. Je to soundtrack ke ztroskotání lodi, která není z našeho světa. Na její palubě jsou nemrtví i bytosti z jiných dimenzí. Disonance, spoustu do krve a vzteku zabalených motivů. Tahle deska je velmi pestrá a nenudím se ani chvilku. Je vystavěna na pevných základech, ke kterým jsou potom přidávány různé odbočky, záseky. Jako bych se díval na rozbouřené moře, na jeho sílu a energii. Sedím ve svém pokoji a drásám si obličej do krve. Připadá mi, že se celý svět točí stále rychleji dokola. Čím dál tím víc informací, čím dál tím víc nenávisti. Už dávno nemám strach z Boha, ani z temných stínů. Děsí mě vlastní já. Topím se v hlubinách vlastních myšlenek. Umírám, abych nakonec vždy povstal z popela. Technický, brutální death metal, který vás roztrhá na kusy! Absolutní a zničující záležitost, hudba jdoucí k podstatě vlastní existence!

You're sitting in your room, scratching your face bloody. It feels like the whole world is spinning around faster and faster. More and more information, more and more hate. You're no longer afraid of God or the dark shadows. You're scared of yourself. You feel like someone's hammered a giant funnel into your brain. The dark matter from outer space is completely controlling you. Are you crazy, or are those behind the wall crazy? The questions are many and the answers are not coming. Italy's HIDEOUS DIVINITY have never been more majestic, more sublime. Powerful build-ups, fear of the cosmos, raw brutal death metal, self-doubt. You will find all this here and much more. I was really sitting alone in my room when I was introduced to this new album. Gradually I turned up the volume and the songs gradually made their way into my brain. When they flushed my skull with acid, I felt cleansed. The new album takes more time, it's inaccessible at certain points. You have to have imagination and patience. The desire to explore. Then you'll understand.


With recordings like this, more than anywhere else, it is always better to listen to everything in peace and then make up your own mind. Words are not a sufficient means of expression. Nevertheless, I will try to give you a taste of the new album. First of all, the promo materials talk about a slight similarity and inspiration from such bands as NILE, CATTLE DECAPITATION, SUFFOCATION, ULCERATE, HATE ETERNAL and BEHEMOTH. One can agree with that, but it should also be added that HIDEOUS DIVINITY is such an original ensemble that any comparisons are rather unnecessary. The gentlemen have their own signature, they can create a very gloomy and dark atmosphere overall. They can be technical and progressive, even ungraspable at certain moments, but still retain the necessary drive and power. "Unextinct" of course has a great contemporary and legible sound, an interesting cover, but most importantly it grabs you, sticks its claw in you and doesn't let go. At least it happened to me. It took a while, I had to peel back the layers, which of course took a certain amount of patience and empathy. It is the soundtrack to a shipwreck that is not of our world. There are undead and beings from other dimensions on board. Dissonance, lots of blood and rage wrapped in themes. This record is very colourful and I'm not bored for a moment. It's built on a solid foundation, to which are then added various digressions, interludes. It's like looking at a stormy sea, its power and energy. I sit in my room and scratch my face until it bleeds. It seems to me that the whole world is going round and round faster. More and more information, more and more hate. I'm not afraid of God anymore, or the dark shadows. I'm scared of myself. I'm drowning in the depths of my own thoughts. I'm dying to rise from the ashes. Technical, brutal death metal that will tear you apart! An absolute and devastating affair, music that goes to the essence of one's own existence!

Už jako dítě si se nikdy neusmíval. Žádní kamarádi, jenom bolest a trápení. Díval ses do tmy a přemýšlel si, jak bys všem ublížil. Začalo to mrtvými zvířaty. Fascinace krví. Stal si se stínem, zlým svědomím. Tvé oči žhnuly nenávistí. Násilí, zabití, ponížení. Líbilo se ti hledět do očí, do kterých přicházela smrt. Pomalu, s provazem kolem krku. Teď tu sedíš a nechápeš, co se stalo. Zabíjení je tvojí přirozeností. Poslední dny před popravou přemýšlíš nad dalšími děsivými fantaziemi.

Norští black metalisté KHOLD se na své nové desce zaobírají právě lidmi odsouzenými na smrt. Jdou v této oblasti hluboko do historie své země. Zajímavé téma, které perfektně doplňuje už tak temnou a chladnou atmosféru. Tohle je železo ukované těmi nejlepšími. Doporučuji při poslechu navštívit popravčí místo ve vašem městě. Zážitek bude o to víc bolestivější, intenzivnější, mocnější a záhadnější.


Není žádným tajemstvím, že je kapela složena ze samých zkušených a skvělých muzikantů. Zmínit musím samozřejmě jejich působení v kapelách jako SARKE, TULUS, SATYRICON. A právě k poslední legendě bych KHOLD klidně přirovnal. Potom také k DARKTHRONE. Pánové na to jsou velmi ryze a opravdově. Poslouchat novou desku "Du dømmes til Død" je  jako sedět v cele smrti a přemýšlet, jaké to je, zemřít oběšený na šibenici. Norové se pohybují převážně ve středních a pomalejších tempech. Naplno tak vynikne mrazivá atmosféra. Přispívá k tomu samozřejmě jako vždy vynikající zvuk i obal. Všechny skladby se vám postupně dostanou do žil. Jsou jako jed, který je dávkován tak, abyste umírali s děsem v očích. Je prostým faktem, že se nové album velmi dobře poslouchá. Tak nějak samozřejmě, lehce. Přesto je neklidné, jestli mi rozumíte. Každý ze songů je samostatným opusem, přesto vše drží v pevném a komplexním celku. Nahrávku jsem nejčastěji poslouchal velmi brzy ráno, když město ještě spalo. Právě byl zatčen člověk, zrůda, která vraždila v ulicích. Chodil jsem náhodou na stejných místech a můžu vám říci, že mě mrazilo v zádech. Netušil jsem, že se zde stalo něco hrozného. Přesně takový pocit mám i z letošní desky "Du dømmes til Død". Zmínit musím i to, že jsou texty v norštině, které nerozumím ani slovo. Přesto mi přijde, že rozumím každé sloce, každému rýmu. Hudba zde spojuje všechny přízraky, prokleté i démony. O KHOLD to platí na sto procent. To vám klidně podepíšu vlastní krví. Pokud máte rádi hudbu po okraj narvanou kousky ledu a zkaženou krví, tak neváhejte ani chvilku. Jedná se o velmi povedenou záležitost po všech stránkách. Zlověstný, mrazivý, temný black metal z dalekého severu! Budete se dívat do obličeje těch, kteří jdou na smrt!

Norwegian black metallers KHOLD deal with people condemned to death on their new album. They go deep into their country's history in this area. An interesting theme that perfectly complements the already dark and cold atmosphere. This is iron forged by the best. I recommend visiting the execution site in your town while listening. The experience will be all the more poignant, intense, powerful and mysterious.


It is no secret that the band is composed of all experienced and great musicians. Of course I have to mention their work in bands like SARKE, TULUS, SATYRICON. And it is to the last legend that I would compare KHOLD. Then also to DARKTHRONE. Gentlemen are very pure and real about it. Listening to the new album "Du dømmes til Død" is like sitting on death row and wondering what it's like to die hanging from the gallows. The Norwegians are mostly in the middle and slower tempos. This makes the chilling atmosphere fully stand out. This is of course helped by the excellent sound and packaging as always. All the tracks gradually get into your veins. They are like poison that is dosed to make you die with terror in your eyes. The simple fact is that the new album is very easy to listen to. Sort of naturally, easily. Yet it's unsettling, if you know what I mean. Each of the songs is a standalone opus, yet everything holds together in a tight and complex whole. I mostly listened to the recording very early in the morning when the city was still sleeping. A man had just been arrested, a monster who was murdering in the streets. I happened to walk in the same places, and I can tell you, I got chills down my spine. I had no idea that something terrible had happened here. That's exactly the feeling I got from this year's album "Du dømmes til Død". I must also mention that there are lyrics in Norwegian, which I don't understand a word of. Yet I feel like I understand every verse, every rhyme. The music here connects all the ghosts, the damned and the demons. This is true of KHOLD one hundred percent. I'll sign it with my own blood. If you like your music packed to the brim with chunks of ice and tainted blood, don't hesitate a moment. This is a very successful affair all round. Sinister, frosty, dark black metal from the far north! You'll be looking into the faces of those who are going to die!

Historie mučení nás dodnes překvapuje svojí brutalitou. Věříš si v jiného boha? Potom tě zavřeme do studené kobky. Bez jídla, beze světla. Pak tě vytáhneme ven a budeme tě natahovat k prasknutí, lámat v kole, budeme ti drtit kosti různými nástroji. Odtrháme ti maso od kostí. Budeš se modlit, abys zemřel. Středověké způsoby výslechu musely být hrozné. Nejhorší je, že spousta z nich se v některých částech světa používá dodnes. Pověšen na háky se znovu houpeš do rytmu šílených melodií. Novým objevem je elektrický proud, který ti pustí do již tak zuboženého těla. 

Brutální death metal v provedení BRODEQUIN byl vždy totálním masakrem. Krutou a syrovou realitou, které je schopen jenom lidský druh. Letos přicházejí pánové po dlouhých 20 letech s novým dlouhohrajícím albem. Je až fascinující, s jakým nadšením a odhodláním nám američtí maniaci opět vystřelí mozek z hlavy. Pohodlně se usaďte do elektrického křesla, přidejte volume doprava a poslouchejte pozorně. Tohle je muzika, která se vám dostane do morku kostí. 


Fanoušek dostane přesně to, co si žádá. Pořádnou porci klasického, tradičního brutálního death metalu, opatřeného ochrannou známkou BRODEQUIN. Na téhle smečce se mi vždy hrozně líbil fakt, že dokáže do svých skladeb propašovat temnou atmosféru. Není to tak jenom zničující nářez, ale kolem se vznáší hnilobné nálady. Pach rozkládajícího se masa, mokvajících ran, které vám způsobili vaši mučitelé. Již na první poslech se zdá, že je vše perfektní. Živočišný a divoký zvuk (Josh Welshman - mastering and mixing) dodává desce na ještě větší uvěřitelnosti. Mozek se vám začne vařit ve vlastní šťávě. Neexistuje nic jiného, než jenom vaše morbidní představy a tahle nekompromisní, přesto zajímavá a pestrá hudba. Šílené rytmy, vokál nasáklý chorobami, melodie ostré jako čerstvě nabroušený skalpel. Američané jsou ve skvělé formě, to je bez debat. Vybrousili si kdysi dávno svůj styl k dokonalosti, přesto, když se budete soustředit, najdete lehký vývoj v rámci vlastních nápadů. Dívám se na obal od Jose de Brita a říkám si, jak je perfektně vybraný a jak sedne krásně k songům samotným. Najednou to vypadá, že středověk nikdy neskončil. Je stále i díky albům, jako je "Harbinger of Woe", otištěn v našich myslích. Jako bych se procházel starodávnou morbidní galerii smrti. Na jednotlivých obrazech jsou motivy plné krutostí, lidské zvrácenosti a bolest z nich doslova prýští. Stejné to je i s novou deskou. Alespoň tak ji vnímám já. BRODEQUIN jsou zpět a působí jako politi mrtvou vodou. Lidská historie je plná násilí. Vždycky budu raději, když ji potkám v extrémní muzice, než v realitě. Novinku si opravdu jako starý fanoušek užívám. Nelze jinak, než doporučit. Tortura těla, tortura mysli! Absolutně devastující návrat brutálně death metalové legendy! U tohoto alba budete viset pověšeni za háky! Totální masakr s temnou atmosférou!

The history of torture still surprises us today with its brutality. Do you believe in another god? Then we'll put you in a cold dungeon. No food, no light. Then we take you out and stretch you to the breaking point, break you in a wheel, crush your bones with various instruments. We'll tear your flesh from your bones. You will pray to die. Medieval interrogation methods must have been horrible. The worst part is that many of them are still used in some parts of the world today. You're hung from hooks and you're swinging to the rhythm of crazy tunes again. The new discovery is an electric current that's released into your already ravaged body. 

BRODEQUIN's brutal death metal has always been a total massacre. A cruel and raw reality that only the human species is capable of. This year the gentlemen come after 20 long years with a new full-length album. It's fascinating how enthusiastic and determined the American maniacs are to blow our brains out again. Sit back in your electric chair, turn the volume to the right and listen carefully. This is music that will get to your bones.


The fan gets exactly what he asks for. A good portion of classic, traditional brutal death metal, bearing the BRODEQUIN trademark. What I've always loved about this pack is the fact that they can smuggle a dark atmosphere into their songs. It's not so much just a devastating onslaught, but there's a rotten mood floating around. The smell of decomposing flesh, of festering wounds inflicted by your tormentors. On first listen, everything seems perfect. The animalistic and savage sound (Josh Welshman - mastering and mixing) adds to the believability of the record. Your brain starts to boil in its own juice. There is nothing but your morbid imaginings and this uncompromising, yet interesting and colorful music. Crazy rhythms, disease-soaked vocals, melodies as sharp as a freshly sharpened scalpel. The Americans are in great shape, no question about it. They honed their style to perfection once upon a time, yet if you concentrate, you will find a slight evolution within your own ideas. I look at Jose de Brito's cover and think how perfectly chosen it is and how it fits beautifully with the songs themselves. Suddenly it seems like the Middle Ages never ended. It's still imprinted in our minds, even with albums like "Harbinger of Woe". It's like walking through an ancient morbid gallery of death. In each painting, the motifs are full of cruelty, human depravity, and the pain literally oozes out of them. It's the same with the new album. At least that's how I perceive it. BRODEQUIN are back and they seem to be pouring dead water. Human history is full of violence. I will always prefer to see it in extreme music than in reality. I really enjoy the new stuff as an old fan. Can't recommend it highly enough. Torture of the body, torture of the mind! Absolutely devastating return of a brutal death metal legend! You will be hanging by the hooks with this album! Total carnage with a dark atmosphere!

Bojuješ ve svých snech s vlastními démony. Navštěvují tě vojáci bez tváře, kteří tě neustále dokola zabíjejí. Probudíš se do tmy a přemýšlíš, kolik generací se bude tahle bolest ještě přenášet. Pochoduješ na smrt, i když si natolik mladý, že si válku nemohl zažít. Na hřbitově plném bílých křížů slyšíš šepot nemrtvých. Chlad a temnota zákopové války se ti navždy otiskly do vzpomínek, které si nikdy nezažil. Posloucháš stále dokola nové album holandských BODYFARM a démoni jsou zde s tebou, dole pod pódiem.

Není žádným tajemstvím, že jsem dlouholetým fanouškem kapely. Sleduji jejich cestu od počátků a hrozně se mi líbí, jakým směrem se vydali. Každou další nahrávkou je jejich hudba masivnější, šílenější, surovější. Zároveň se  nezapomíná ani na melodie, které vám způsobí zástavu srdce. Čtyři nové skladby a pět živých záznamů z koncertu v Krakově ze 14. 3. 2023. Fanoušci opravdové a reálné smrti dostanou pořádnou porci nočních můr. 


Novinka je divokou jízdou přímo do pekla. Je postavená na pevných staroškolských základech ve stylu ASPHYX, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, HYPOCRISY, UNLEASHED, NECROPHOBIC. Pánové opět přicházejí s velmi povedeným zvukem (materiál byl nahrán ve Studiu Moskou a Studiu Hilhorst. Mix a mastering Mendel Bij De Leij v Mendelaudio) i parádním obalem (Daemorph). Někdy mívám trošku problém se záznamy ze živých vystoupení, ale tentokrát to neplatí. Naopak, doslova ucítíte šílenou atmosféru koncertu v Polsku. Muselo to být opravdu masakrující. Oni se s tím BODYFARM totiž vůbec nepářou, jsou silní ve svých nápadech. Připomínají dobře seřízený tank, který je připraven zabíjet hudbou. Nutno rovnou napsat, že se jim to daří na výbornou. Vše je opravdové, ryzí, zahrané od srdce. Album mi připomíná srážku s náklaďákem plným kostí. Čerstvá exhumace hromadného hrobu proběhla teprve  nedávno. Nedivím se, že se mi po podobných zážitcích dostanou do snů děsivé noční můry. Pánové mají svůj jasný a zřetelný rukopis, ksicht, chcete-li. Poznáte je podle pár prvních tónů. Není nutné chodit kolem kaluže plné krve, nová deska se opět velmi povedla. Je v ní obsaženo vše potřebné pro krásný morbidní zážitek. Je tvrdá, temná a obsahuje spoustu nakumulovaného vzteku. Přesně takhle to mám nejraději. Budete pochodovat na smrt a budete mít hlavu vztyčenou. Jsem moc rád, že se ještě nahrávají alba, jako je "Malicious Ecstasy". Dodávají mi velkou sílu a pomáhají mi přežít v dnešním divném světě. Nezbývá nic jiného, než zavelet k útoku. Masakrující death metalová temnota, která vám poláme všechny kosti v těle! Válečné noční můry!

You fight your own demons in your dreams. You're visited by faceless soldiers who kill you over and over again. You wake up in the dark, wondering how many more generations this pain will carry on. You march to your death, even though you are young enough not to have experienced war. In a cemetery full of white crosses, you hear the whispers of the undead. It's no secret that I'm a long-time fan of the band. I've followed their journey since the beginning and I love the direction they've taken. With every release, their music gets more massive, more insane, more raw. At the same time, they don't forget the melodies that will make your heart stop. Four new songs and five live recordings from the concert in Krakow on March 14, 2023. Fans of real and real death will get a good portion of nightmares.


The novelty is a wild ride straight to hell. It's built on solid old school foundations in the style of ASPHYX, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, HYPOCRISY, UNLEASHED, NECROPHOBIC. The gentlemen once again come with a very good sound (the material was recorded in Studio Moskou and Studio Hilhorst. Mixing and mastering by Mendel Bij De Leij in Mendelaudio) and a great cover (Daemorph). Sometimes I have a bit of a problem with recordings from live performances, but this time it doesn't apply. On the contrary, you can literally feel the crazy atmosphere of a concert in Poland. It must have been really massacring. They don't fight BODYFARM at all, they are strong in their ideas. They resemble a well-tuned tank that is ready to kill with music. It must be written right away that they do it perfectly. Everything is real, pure, played from the heart. The album reminds me of a collision with a truck full of bones. A fresh exhumation of the mass grave was only recently carried out. I'm not surprised that I get terrifying nightmares after experiences like this. The gentlemen have a clear and distinct signature, a face, if you will. You'll know them by the first few notes. No need to walk around a pool of blood, the new record is once again very good. It contains everything needed for a beautiful morbid experience. It's hard, dark and contains a lot of pent-up rage. It's exactly how I like it best. You'll march to your death and hold your head high. I'm so glad that albums like "Malicious Ecstasy" are still being recorded . They give me great strength and help me survive in today's weird world. There's nothing left to do but to attack. Massacring death metal darkness that will break every bone in your body! War nightmares!
