A few questions – interview with death metal band from United Kingdom - INFECTED DEAD.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.?

Hey, thanks for talking to us. We are Infected Dead from Medway in the South East of England and we formed at the end of 2014. We would describe our sound as modern Death Metal with technical overtones and melodic hooks.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

'Archaic Malevolence' was recorded in Hove on July of 2017, with all recording, mixing and mastering handled by the excellent up and coming producer Wynter Prior. The whole process was brilliant and took about a month the complete, we're very happy with how it came out.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

Distribution is handled through our label so we dont really know exact numbers, but we do have quite alot of stock ourselves for sale at upcoming shows. It's also available on CD from our label and globally through Amazon, HMV, Tower and select independent record stores.

Its available digitally through Bandcamp and Itunes and can be streamed through Spotify and most other streaming services.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

I (Lou, vocals) wrote all of the lyrics, all of the tracks on this EP are based on the works of H.P Lovecraft and other authors that expanded on his writings. The main theme of the EP is resurrection and the readying of the world for the return of the great old ones. Theres a track about Nyarlythotep the crawling chaos, a more cultish také on the Re-animator, an ode to Cthulhu and Lovecraftian versions of a zombie apocalypse and Reincarnaton beliefs.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

Our logo was created by Mod (Modblackmoon.com) way back at the beginning of 2015, we think how you choose to present yourself visually is very important as its often the first impression people have of your band. We also worked with the amazing Namsing for our first T-shirt design and the artwork for 'Archaic Malevolence' was created by Riaj Gragoth of Luciferium War Graphics.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

We signed with Hostile Media in the autumn and they've been absolutley awesome so far. They are very supportive of what we're doing and have really enabled us to step up our game and get noticed in a way that wouldnt be possible on our own.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We've got a tonne of influences but the most obvious and often cited would be The Black Dahlia Murder and Aborted. They're are also little touches of stuff from a more diverse selection of Death Metal like Obscura, Impaled and Nile.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

Originally signing to a label wasn't part of grand plan for 2017, while writing the EP we planned to self-release, but after we started gaining momentum and secured a spot at Bloodstock Festival it all just fell into place.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

We've racked up 17 since we first hit the road at the end of 2016. In that time we've been right across the South of the UK from Kent to Cardiff and played some amazing shows, but the best ones would probably be appearing at Bloodstock Festival where we played on the New Blood Stage and the awesome Eatser all-dayer in Brighton that was headlined by Immolation and Vader.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

We hope the stick around for a long time. This year we'll be concentrating on playing as many shows as possible while we write our debut album, we hope to cover as much of the UK as possible and are looking into making our first trip to mainland europe. From there we're just going to keep on pushing ourselves and see where that takes us.

How and where can your fans contact you? Can you provide some contact information?
