Svět už nebude nikdy takový jako dřív. Alespoň pro tebe. Zažil si až příliš bolesti a cítil moc dlouho přítomnost smrti.

Asphyx says:

The world will never be the same again. At least for you. You've been in too much pain and felt the presence of death for too long. You lost faith in people a long time ago. Your hands are clasped tightly in your palms. You dig your nails into the flesh when you read comments from people who weren't there. Bloodlust, pain, and fear. In the quiet of the room, behind the screen, where everyone's so smart it hurts. You log off the grid, you die and you're born again. You finally see the faint light at the end of the tunnel.

I have a special relationship with the Polish DECAPITATED. I like their first albums a lot. I acknowledge them and have them in my collection. But for some time I've been following the band more from a distance. I didn't like their inclination toward "core". But this year everything is different. With a bit of exaggeration, one could write that the gentlemen have returned to technical death metal. And I took them back to the grace.

The new album presents the band exactly as I've always liked them. The songs are sharp, dark, and crazy and don't lack the necessary atmosphere. It's very easy to listen because the more technical passages are inserted with experience, confidence, and detachment. "Cancer Culture" will literally nail you to the wall. It will tear you apart. The riffs are gnawed to the bone. No frills, no compromises. It hits right on the solar plexus. I find it very enjoyable to batch the album at any time of the day. Every time I get annoyed by the warped world around me, every time I read venomous comments from people who inherently want to hurt. I have a hundred urges to wash their mouths out in a dirty puddle and play this record loud. There are a lot of pent-up rages in there. It's sophisticated, composed with the elegance of seasoned masters. It's got a tingle, a pressure, energy. It's like we're back in the Middle Ages, watching a Sunday execution. The square is full of people, breaking into a circle, the crowd is excited. Today we're further along, we've got everything online, but essentially we're still the same. Unfortunately or unfortunately? I don't know, but it's abundantly clear to me that I'll definitely be putting on "Cancer Culture" more often, rather than lump myself in with the hyenas. The sound, the cover art, and the overall performance is - as otherwise - excellent. DECAPITATED are back, at least for me. The world will never be the same again. Remember this. A technical death metal tsunami that will wipe you off the face of the earth!
