Tahle deska bolí a pálí, žhne i chladí! Zabijácký počin!

Asphyx says:

I was really scared for the first time. The face of the drowned man jumped on me from the depths with such force that in the first moment I thought he was alive. But he wasn't, he was hovering in the icy water for a long time. His bitten flesh, a grinning face, and a strange expression of suffering were straight evidence of it. Thanks to the death black music of the band APOCRYFAL, I found myself here in the north, in endless swamps. The Finnish response to the dark shadows captivated me immediately, during the first few listening.

Recently it has been very nice for me to rummage in rotten meat. To taste from the moist palette of insidious music. Slow, protracted beginnings, crushing drums, an atmosphere full of death. This is the new album "Crushing Black Death". Come with me and with the band on a painful trip to fog, darkness, and hopelessness.

Perfect grave sound, sick vocal, but especially fully devastating harmonies. These are the main attributes of this record and also the reasons that make the record very appealing to me. APOCRYFAL is really raw and goes straight to the point till the core. There are other bloated bodies floating in the marshes, and I feel that every moment I meet a monster that we all know only from mythology. From ancient legends. This is the first full-length album of the band and maybe it would be useful to narrow your eyes. But I don't have to. It seems to me that everything sits in its place, the songs are perfectly morbidly built, nowhere does miss anything. I do not have the habit of writing descriptive things in reviews, my readers can read promo materials by themselves, but I must definitely mention the beautifully mysterious cover (Veno Vastamäki). It underlines exactly what is happening on the record. A dark, insidious death / black metal that takes you to the endless swamps of death! This record hurts and burns, glows and cools! Killing achievement!
