Tělo zavěšené u stropu. Žiletky nabroušené tak, že kůže odpadává snad sama. Výkřiky do tmy, oči plné bolesti. Strach, pach smrti. Temný sklep několik pater v podzemí. Atmosféra chladu a zla, která se vznáší kolem, jako děsivé ozvěny. Ne, to není šílený krvavý horor, který když skončí, tak jej vypnete a dáte si další pivo. Tohle je hnusná, ošklivá a smradlavá realita. Podobně zní i nové album démonů PLAGUE CURSE.
Tahle smečka je složená ze členů třeba takových Drowstorm, Vahrzaw, Vintertodt, Burden of Ymir, Calling of Phasmic Presence a další. O kvalitu je tak postaráno. Koneckonců, stačí zapnout play a přesvědčit se o tom, že reálná, krvavá temnota opravdu existuje. Surový death metal a chladný black metal jsou zde kombinovány způsobem, že vám ztuhne krev v žilách.
Vše působí naléhavě, svým způsobem nepříjemně, chladně a nekompromisně. Zároveň v sobě mají skladby takovou tu zlou a nenávistnou energii, které mám u tohoto stylu tolik rád. Za povedený považuji jak zvuk, tak i motiv na obalu. Můžete se tak v klidu soustředit na všechny ty morbidní melodie, ostré riffy, chorobný vokál a totálně nihilistickou náladu celého alba. Skladby jsou napsané s krvavou vášní v oku. Je vám doufám jasné, že tohle album hoří zevnitř, že smrdí sírou a zkaženým masem. Nevím, jestli jste někdy byli u nějaké exhumace starého hrobu, ale věřte tomu, že při poslechu "Verminous Contempt" se budete cítit velmi podobně. Výsledný dojem je opravdu intenzivní, skladby se vám zadřou pod kůži, dostanou se do vnitřností. Novinku jsem poslouchal zásadně za tmy, po zhlédnutí několika krvavých hororů. V těchto chvílích vynikla její pradávná, jeskynní síla nejvíce. Toulám se v podzemí už dlouhé roky a tahle kobka se stala na dlouhou dobu mým útočištěm. Líbí se mi, že kapele můžu jejich morbidní práci a velmi dobře odvedené řemeslo věřit. Aby bylo jasno, tihle gentlemani temnoty přidávají i něco navíc, kus sebe samých, svého talentu pro záhrobní věci člověka. Tohle je nahrávka, která musela vznikat v těch nejtemnějších koutech. Dávejte si pozor, kdo stojí ve stínu. Také jste zahlédli odlesk čerstvě nabroušeného skalpelu? Potom asi víte, o čem tohle album je. Tělo zavěšené u stropu. I consider both the sound and the cover art to be well done. You can calmly focus on all the morbid melodies, sharp riffs, sick vocals, and the totally nihilistic mood of the entire album. The songs are written with bloody passion in the eye. I hope you realize that this album burns from the inside, that it stinks of sulfur and rotten meat. I don't know if you've ever been to an exhumation of an old grave, but believe me, listening to "Verminous Contempt" will make you feel very similar. The resulting impression is really intense, the songs get under your skin, they get into your guts. I listened to the new album strictly in the dark, after watching several bloody horror movies. It was in these moments that its ancient, cavernous power stood out the most. I've been wandering underground for many years, and this dungeon has become my refuge for a long time. I like that I can trust the band's morbid work and very well-done craftsmanship. To be clear, these gentlemen of darkness add something extra, a piece of themselves, their talent for the otherworldly. This is a recording that must have been created in the darkest corners.
