Padá na tebe celý svět. Lidé kolem tebe se sice usmívají, ale jejich hlasy jsou jedovaté a zlé. Jakoby ti někdo sevřel srdce ledovou rukou. Děsíš se světla a pokaždé, když se objeví alespoň malý kousek naděje, tak se otáčíš neustále za sebe a nemůžeš tomu věřit. Žiješ už jenom ve stínu, opuštěný, zavržený. Připadáš si, že máš na svém čele vypálený cejch. Jsi jiný, říkají ti stále dokola. Nikoho už dávno nezajímáš a jediným řešením se zdá chladná koupelna a ostrá žiletka. Ne, dnes ještě ne, řekneš do ticha a vydáš se vstříc dalšímu těžkému dnu.
O MALIGNANT AURA jsem již jednou psal. Bylo to u příležitosti jejich minulé nahrávky "Abysmal Misfortune Is Draped upon Me" v roce 2022. Již tenkrát mě zaujal rukopis kapely, jejich temné a mrazivé postupy. Jedná se o syrový a prašivý death metal starého střihu, kombinovaný s mrazivým doom metalem. I letos pánové pokračují ve své nihilistické cestě bez konce. Pokud na vás padne někdy splín a chmury, stejně jako na hrdinu dnešní recenze, tak určitě pochopíte, o čem novinka je. O smutku, utrpení, o smrti, o beznaději, zoufalství a melancholii.
Venku mrzlo a teplota se potácela kolem mínus deseti stupni celsia. Mráz se mi dávno usadil v kostech. Bylo velmi brzy ráno a ulice zely prázdnotou. Ne, dnes nepůjdu do práce. Moje kroky směřují, za rytmu nového alba "Where All of Worth Comes to Wither", na hřbitov. Potřebuji se zastavit, uklidnit se, vyhnat z hlavy chaos současného světa. Novinka se mi usadila v žilách a někde vzadu v hlavě, v místech, které nedokážu definovat, ale poznám podle nich, že se jedná o dobrou hudbu. Vše tu sedí perfektně na svých místech. Zvuk (Loïc F.), motiv na obalu (Paolo Girardi), celkové provedení, ale hlavně skladby samotné, které se kolem mě nejdřív plazily jako klubko jedovatých hadů a postupně mě uhranuly. Získal jsem najednou schopnost rozmlouvat s nemrtvými, cítil jsem jejich bolest a utrpení. Člověk, mě nevyjímaje, potřebuje být zkrátka někdy sám se sebou, s vlastními démony. Ujasnit si, co je pro něj důležité. V těchto momentech, které jsem samozřejmě prožíval hluboko v lesích nebo právě na hřbitově u hrobu svých předků, vynikla síla této nahrávky nejvíce. Jednotlivé motivy jsou velmi dobře, naléhavě a přesvědčivě napsány, riffy jsou ostré a divoké zároveň. Celým albem se potom prolíná takový zvláštní neklid, pradávná síla a energie. U tohoto stylu, a píšu to velmi často, hodně záleží na tom, abych kapele jejich morbidní práci věřil. MALIGNANT AURA jsou opravdoví, reální, syroví, autentičtí. Každý riff, úder bicích, vokální linka, vše je dle mého skromného úsudku perfektní. Pokud jste fanoušci třeba takových INCANTATION, PARADISE LOST, HOODED MENACE, MOURNFUL CONGREGATION, MY DYING BRIDE, CANDLEMASS, DISEMBOWELMENT, ASPHYX a dalších kapel, které umí nakombinovat smutek a smrt ve vzájemném bolestivém poměru, potom jste zde správně. Ne, dnes bys měl tu žiletku zase odložit, pusť si raději tuhle desku. Těžký, podmanivý, uhrančivý doom death metal ze starých pohřebišť, který vás přenese do nekonečné říše absolutní tmy, smutku a beznaděje!

I have already written about MALIGNANT AURA once before. It was on the occasion of their previous recording, "Abysmal Misfortune Is Draped upon Me," in 2022. Even then, I was intrigued by the band's style, their dark and chilling approach. It is raw and mangy old-school death metal combined with chilling doom metal. This year, the gentlemen continue on their nihilistic path without end. If you ever feel melancholy and gloomy, just like the hero of today's review, you will definitely understand what this new album is about. It's about sadness, suffering, death, hopelessness, despair, and melancholy.
It was freezing outside, with temperatures hovering around minus ten degrees Celsius. The cold had long since settled into my bones. It was very early in the morning and the streets were deserted. No, I'm not going to work today. My steps lead me, to the rhythm of the new album "Where All of Worth Comes to Wither", to the cemetery. I need to stop, calm down, and get the chaos of the current world out of my head. The new album has settled in my veins and somewhere in the back of my head, in places I can't define, but I can tell by them that it's good music. Everything here fits perfectly in its place. The sound (Loïc F.), the cover art (Paolo Girardi), the overall execution, but above all the songs themselves, which at first slithered around me like a coil of poisonous snakes and gradually bewitched me. I suddenly gained the ability to talk to the undead, I felt their pain and suffering. People, myself included, sometimes need to be alone with themselves, with their own demons. To clarify what is important to them. It was in these moments, which I naturally experienced deep in the woods or at the graves of my ancestors in the cemetery, that the power of this recording stood out the most. The individual motifs are very well written, urgent and convincing, and the riffs are sharp and wild at the same time. The entire album is permeated with a strange restlessness, an ancient power and energy. With this style, and I write this very often, it is very important that I believe in the band's morbid work. MALIGNANT AURA are real, raw, authentic. Every riff, every drum beat, every vocal line, everything is perfect in my humble opinion. If you are fans of bands such as INCANTATION, PARADISE LOST, HOODED MENACE, MOURNFUL CONGREGATION, MY DYING BRIDE, CANDLEMASS, DISEMBOWELMENT, ASPHYX, and other bands that know how to combine sadness and death in a painful ratio, then you've come to the right place. No, today you should put that razor blade away again and listen to this album instead. Heavy, captivating, mesmerizing doom death metal from ancient burial grounds that will transport you to an endless realm of absolute darkness, sadness, and despair!
