Kolem nohou se mi plazí jedovatí hadi. Sedím v plesnivé kobce a píši své paměti.
Pokud budou mít koncert někde v mém okolí, budu stát v první řadě a podávat kapele pivo. Sedím v plesnivé kobce a píši své paměti. Ne, já nejsem ten z úvodu dnešní recenze. Jsem ale nový fanoušek HKSPK. To vám klidně podepíšu vlastní krví! Black death metalové album, které vás roztrhá zevnitř! Intenzivní útok z toho nejhlubšího podzemí! Budete zahaleni do krvavé mlhy!
Asphyx says:
Poisonous snakes are slithering around my feet. I’m sitting in a moldy dungeon, writing my memoirs. To many, I’m a madman, a murderer, a rapist; to others, a hunter, a rebel, and a man who has never bowed his head. I’m awaiting execution, and recently a priest came to see me. I spat in his face. I stopped believing in God long ago. Satan, on the other hand, I encounter on every corner. All you have to do is look around. Man has long since become a wolf to man. The wave of violence will continue. It’s a shame I won’t live to see it. I’d be in my element. For now, I keep writing while listening to the new album by the German dark metal band HKSPK.
This is my very first encounter with the band’s work, so I listened very closely. I crammed the new album into my head in all sorts of situations in the car, on my way to work, while walking down a dark street. In the end, though, its power really shone through in the evening, when darkness fell and the shadows in the streets were the color of blood. This is raw, rough death metal, tainted with cold black metal, but also with elements of punk and doom metal. The resulting cocktail is poisonous, like snakes that will bewitch me in a matter of minutes and carry me to the other side into the afterlife.
This new release is exactly the kind of intense experience that does my corrupt soul a world of good, even for an old dog like me. I love wandering through old cemeteries with headphones on, among the ruins of cursed churches, or just out there in the darkness. I encounter figures who have long since become nothing more than zombies, marching about and waiting for death. I’m glad bands like HKSPK exist. For me, this pack is the clear definition of what I imagine when I hear the word underground. These guys emerged from ancient cellars, from the endless corridors of Frankfurt an der Oder, Brandenburg. The songs are very well written and possess the necessary drive. The sound is sharp, unbridled, cutting, massive, and perfectly clear. The cover art is stylish and, of course, inspired me to write the introduction to today’s review. “Heimkehr” is, for me personally, a huge surprise and also a reassurance that devilish things are still happening in the underground, where bands are emerging that aren’t afraid to cut to the quick. I’m nodding my head contentedly to the beat, enjoying the sharp riffs, raw melodies, killer drum hits, and the beast’s roar. But this new release isn’t just an assault from the depths. It doesn’t neglect the atmospheric passages either, which add even more variety to the recording. I love bands that come across as authentic, that play music stripped down to the bone music from which I can feel, hear, and sense a total devotion to the shadows and to the music itself. In the end, it’s always about the heart, and this bunch of morbid gentlemen comes across as completely authentic. If they play a show somewhere near me, I’ll be standing in the front row, handing the band a beer. With their music, these Germans will carve you up into tiny pieces of utterly useless meat. For me personally, this is a very well-done affair. Poisonous snakes are slithering around my feet. I’m sitting in a moldy dungeon, writing my memoirs. No, I’m not the one from the introduction to today’s review. But I am a new HKSPK fan. I’ll gladly sign that with my own blood! A black death metal album that will tear you apart from the inside! An intense assault from the deepest underground! You’ll be shrouded in a bloody fog!
