Na zdech jsou pověšeny mrtvoly v různém stádiu rozkladu. Vzduch je těžký, nasáklý zkaženou krví a nekonečnou bolestí. Vstupuješ do starých katakomb a přemýšlíš, proč se tohle všechny stalo. Umučení, zničení, ponížení. Do kamene je vytesán nápis: "Zemřeli ve jménu víry, prokletí". Poklekáš na zem, všechno na tebe padá, máš strach z démonů. Nemrtví vylézají ven, na světlo a trhají na kusy každého, koho potkají. Kýváš spokojeně hlavou. Ano, o tomhle je death metal.
Teď myslím ten starý, prašivý, ohavný, surový a devastující, který hrají mexičtí tmáři NECROCCULTUS. Tahle smečka byla založena v roce 2003 a má na svém kontě ještě jedno dlouhohrající album, několik EP, demonahrávek a splitek. Doporučuji vám, abyste si vše sehnali a poslechli. Rozhodně to stojí za to. Letos je kapela silnější než kdy dřív. Z riffů odkapává krev, bicí zabíjejí na potkání a vokál připomíná pradávnou bestii z podzemí.
Pokud se váš hudební vkus utvářel v devadesátých letech minulého století a k smrti milujete nekonečné toulky podsvětím, potom věřte tomu, že budete určitě spokojeni jako já. Pánové totiž hrají opravdově, surově, přesvědčivě, uvěřitelně a naprosto autenticky. Tedy tak, jak to mám rád a jak to mám za dlouhé roky zakódováno v DNA. Na novince "The Afterdeath Blackness" naleznete spoustu masivních, nespoutaných, krutých pasáží, které jsou velice umně a návykově kombinovány s chladnými a temnými motivy. Výsledkem je jedovatý koktejl, který když pozřete, tak zemřete v nekonečných křečích. Smrt je při poslechu velmi blízko, zvuk je náležitě špinavý, hnisavý a zadře se vám pod kůži. Zapomenout nesmím ani na stylový motiv na obalu, který ve mě evokuje spoustu černých myšlenek. Zkrátka a dobře, pokud jste staří bojovníci za práva death metalu, jste tu správně. NECROCCULTUS opravdu působí jako jezdci apokalypsy, kteří přišli na náš svět zvěstovat děsivé zprávy z onoho světa. Žádné zbytečnosti, žádné kompromisy, jenom na kost ohlodaný smrtící kov, ukovaný z těch nejlepších ingrediencí. Nové album jsem si velmi často brával, když jsem kolem půlnoci chodil k nám na hřbitov. Bylo tam ticho, ale moje představivost díky poslechu pracovala na sto procent. Najednou jsem neseděl na lavičce u vchodu, ale přímo v márnici. Zrovna jsem našel dveře do sklepa, do podzemí. Na zdech jsou pověšeny mrtvoly v různém stádiu rozkladu. Vzduch je těžký, nasáklý zkaženou krví a nekonečnou bolestí. Vstupuji do starých katakomb a přemýšlím, proč se tohle všechny stalo. Umučení, zničení, ponížení. Teď už to vím. Za mě, starého psa, který hlídá vstup do podsvětí již skoro 35 let nemůžu jinak, než vám nahrávku doporučit. Hnilobou a starodávnou patinou nasáklý death metal, který vás strhne do nekonečně temné a chladné hlubiny utrpení! Album, které vás rozemele na prach!

This pack was founded in 2003 and has one more full-length album, several EPs, demos, and split releases to their credit. I recommend you get your hands on everything and give it a listen. It’s definitely worth it. This year, the band is stronger than ever. Blood drips from the riffs, the drums kill everything in their path, and the vocals evoke an ancient beast from the underworld.

These guys play with genuine intensity, raw power, conviction, believability, and absolute authenticity. In other words, exactly the way I like it and the way it’s been hardwired into my DNA over the years. On the new album "The Afterdeath Blackness", you’ll find plenty of massive, unbridled, brutal passages that are artfully and addictively combined with cold and dark motifs. The result is a poisonous cocktail that, if you drink it, will kill you in endless convulsions. Death feels very close while listening; the sound is appropriately dirty, festering, and gets under your skin. I mustn’t forget the stylish cover art, which evokes a lot of dark thoughts in me. In short, if you’re a veteran fighter for the rights of death metal, you’re in the right place. NECROCCULTUS truly come across as the horsemen of the apocalypse, who have come to our world to deliver terrifying news from the other side. No frills, no compromises just deadly metal stripped down to the bone, forged from the finest ingredients. I often took the new album with me when I walked to our local cemetery around midnight. It was quiet there, but listening to it made my imagination run wild. Suddenly, I wasn’t sitting on a bench by the entrance, but right inside the morgue. As for me, an old dog who has been guarding the entrance to the underworld for nearly 35 years, I can’t help but recommend this recording to you.
