Peklo zase jednou otevřelo svoje brány, aby vydalo další svědectví o lidské slabosti, špíně, nenávisti, o válkách, znásilňování, o všech zlých věcech, kterých je člověk jako druh schopen. Přichází konec světa, hlásají již mnoho let falešní proroci. Jenže tentokrát je to jiné. Opravdové, ryzí, autentické, stejně jako nové album amerických black death metalistů INVULTATION. Opět se jedná o jasnou definici temné, chladné a spalující apokalypsy, která brzo zachvátí tenhle svět jako starodávná choroba.
Je něco shnilého, morbidního, co mě nutí nahrávku stále dokola poslouchat. Byli jste jako já poprvé prokleti někdy na přelomu osmdesátých a devadesátých let minulého století? Pohybujete se rádi v tom nejhlubším podzemí? Rozmlouváte často se svými vlastními démony? Potom jste zde správně. Svět kolem hoří ve spirále nenávisti a vy křičíte spolu s kapelou do tmy texty plné rouhání.
Satan zase jednou sedí na svém trůnu a usmívá se. Není divu, hraje se zde hlavně pro něj i pro všechny prokleté. Na počátku byl chaos a postupně k němu zase směřujeme. Zvuk je masivní, zabijácký, motiv na obalu stylový a vy se tak můžete soustředit na hudbu samotnou. Ta je volně inspirována smečkami jako BLASPHEMY, BESTIAL WARLUST, ANGELCORPSE, IMPIETY, BLACK WITCHERY. Samozřejmě, Andrew Lampe, který je podepsán pod všemi nástroji i vokály, přidal do své hudby i spoustu svých nápadů a invence. Poslouchat "Inferno Descends" je jako přijmout pozvání na starodávný, krvavý a násilný rituál určený pro vyvolávání temných sil, které rozhodně nejsou z našeho světa. Riffy se vám zadřou pod kůži, při melodiích vám začne odpadávat maso od kostí a budete si připadat, jakoby do vás někdo zabodl rezavý nůž. INVULTATION jsou opět ve velmi dobré formě, zabíjejí na potkání a zůstává po nich hluboká krvavá stopa. Svět je zahalen do smradlavé mlhy, v ulicích se válejí zohavená těla. Rabování, násilí, člověk se stal člověku vlkem. Odpuštění neexistuje a i kněží konečně ukázali svoji pravou tvář. Je něco primitivního, jeskynního, co mě nutí se k nahrávce stále dokola vracet. Spálen na popel, znovu vstávám a dál bojuji s démony. Prokousnou mi hrdlo, pohřbí mě zaživa a na pohřbu mi bude hrát tohle album. Nemám žádných dalších námitek a desku vám mohu jen doporučit. Pokud jste byli kdysi jako já prokleti, je pro vás doslova povinností. Peklo zase jednou otevřelo svoje brány, aby vydalo další svědectví o lidské slabosti, špíně, nenávisti, o válkách, znásilňování, o všech zlých věcech, kterých je člověk jako druh schopen. Hell has once again opened its gates to bear further witness to human weakness, filth, hatred, wars, rape all the evil things of which humanity as a species is capable. The end of the world is coming, false prophets have been proclaiming for many years. But this time it’s different. It’s genuine, pure, and authentic just like the new album by the American black death metal band INVULTATION. Once again, it offers a clear depiction of a dark, cold, and searing apocalypse that will soon engulf this world like an ancient plague.
There’s something rotten and morbid about it that compels me to listen to this record over and over again. Were you, like me, first cursed sometime at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s? Do you enjoy venturing into the deepest underworld? Do you often converse with your own demons? Then you’ve come to the right place. The world around you is burning in a spiral of hatred, and you’re screaming lyrics full of blasphemy into the darkness along with the band.
Satan is sitting on his throne once again, smiling. No wonder this show is mainly for him and all the damned. In the beginning there was chaos, and we’re gradually heading back toward it. The sound is massive and killer, the cover art is stylish, and you can focus entirely on the music itself. It’s loosely inspired by bands like BLASPHEMY, BESTIAL WARLUST, ANGELCORPSE, IMPIETY, and BLACK WITCHERY. Of course, Andrew Lampe, who handles all instruments and vocals, has also infused his music with plenty of his own ideas and creativity. Listening to “Inferno Descends” is like accepting an invitation to an ancient, bloody, and violent ritual designed to summon dark forces that are definitely not of this world. The riffs will get under your skin; the melodies will make your flesh fall off your bones, and you’ll feel as if someone has stabbed you with a rusty knife. INVULTATION are once again in top form, killing everything in their path and leaving a deep, bloody trail behind them. The world is shrouded in a stinking fog; mutilated bodies lie scattered in the streets. Looting, violence man has become a wolf to man. There is no forgiveness, and even the priests have finally shown their true colors. There’s something primitive, something primal about it that compels me to keep coming back to this recording over and over again. Burned to ashes, I rise again and continue to battle my demons. They’ll slit my throat, bury me alive, and this album will play at my funeral. I have no further objections, and I can only recommend this album to you. If you were once cursed like I was, it’s literally a must-listen for you.
