Je hluboká tma a nejsou vidět ani hvězdy. Říkali mi, abych nechodil ven, jenže já musím. Jakmile se setmí, nemám klid. Začnou mě bolet vnitřnosti a pálit stigmata na rukou. Zabouchnu za sebou dveře a zmizím v ulicích. Moje kroky vždy směřují na starý, zdánlivě opuštěný hřbitov. Pokaždé se nejdříve rozhlédnu a pomodlím k peklu. Nejdříve zahlédnu jen několik divných stínů. Potom se ozvou z márnice podivné zvuky a nářek nemrtvých. Pomalu přejdu na druhou stranu, na onen svět. Každou noc navštívíme jinou hrobku. Dnes má nad vchodem nápis TORTURED CORPSE a smrdí zatuchlinou a rozkládajícím se masem. 

Tuhle smečku prokletých maniaků sleduji od jejich začátků. Odkazy na recenze i rozhovor naleznete dole pod článkem. Každé setkání je pro mě divokou a děsivou noční můrou. Nové EP "Burial Mounds" je morbidní ozvěnou ze záhrobí. Death metalem, který vás pohřbí zaživa. 


Peklo má mnoho podob a to, které nám ukazují TORTURED CORPSE, je velmi kruté, temné a smrdí sírou. Stejně jako jejich hudba. Vše se odehrává ve stylu třeba takových CANNIBAL CORPSE, ROTTREVORE, NUNSLAUGHTER, IMPETIGO, REPULSION, CARCASS, AUTOPSY. Je to starodávný masakr v márnici, který je velmi dobře složený, má parádní plesnivý zvuk a takovou tu patinu, kterou naleznete na starých pohřebištích. Poslouchat tuhle desku je jako když odkryjete prašivou rakev, ve které byly dlouhé roky uloženy choroby, které když vás nakazí, tak zemřete v šílených křečích. Rozpadnete se v prach a vaše vnitřnosti budou spáleny na popel. Líbí se mi přístup, jakým Poláci ke své morbidní práci přistupují. Jsou uvěřitelní, reální, suroví. Společně strávené chvíle u přehrávačů mi opravdu připomínají moje pravidelné návštěvy opuštěných pohřebišť. Tančíme do rytmu s těmi nejkrásnějšími zombie, užíváme si hororovou náladu EP  "Burial Mounds". Už jste  někdy podali ruku mrtvole? Ani nemusíte, stačí když si tohle album poslechnete. Jsem starý pes, který poslouchá smrtící kov přes třicet let. Troufám si tvrdit, že novinka je určena pro mě i pro všechny prokleté. Smrt má mnoho podob a tu kterou nám tihle tmáři předkládají, je velmi krutá, hnusná a mokvající. Jedná se samozřejmě o hluboký underground. Novinka musela být nahrávána v temných katakombách. Nejdříve v nich zahlédnu jen několik divných stínů. Potom se ozvou z márnice podivné zvuky a nářek nemrtvých. Zahnívající, mokvající, shnilá death metalová exhumace prašivých rakví!

It's deep dark and you can't even see the stars. They told me not to go out, but I have to. Once it gets dark, I can't rest. My insides start to ache and the stigmata on my hands start to burn. I slam the door behind me and disappear into the streets. My footsteps always head for the old, seemingly abandoned cemetery. Each time, I look around first and pray to hell. At first I only see a few strange shadows. Then there are strange noises from the morgue and the cries of the undead. Slowly, I cross over to the other side, to the other world. Each night we visit a different tomb. Tonight it has a sign over the entrance that reads TORTURED CORPSE and smells of stale, decaying flesh. 

I've been following this pack of damned maniacs since they started. Links to reviews and interviews can be found at the bottom of the article. Every encounter is a wild and terrifying nightmare for me. The new EP "Burial Mounds" is a morbid echo from beyond the grave. Death metal that will bury you alive.


Hell has many forms and the one shown by TORTURED CORPSE is very cruel, dark and smells of brimstone. Just like their music. Everything is in the style of CANNIBAL CORPSE, ROTTREVORE, NUNSLAUGHTER, IMPETIGO, REPULSION, CARCASS, AUTOPSY. It's an ancient morgue massacre that is very well composed, has a great moldy sound and that patina you find in old burial grounds. Listening to this record is like uncovering a dingy coffin that has held diseases for years that if they infect you, you'll die in mad convulsions. You will crumble into dust and your insides will be burned to ashes. I like the way the Poles approach their morbid work. They're believable, real, raw. Spending time together at the players really reminds me of my regular visits to abandoned burial grounds. We dance to the beat with the most beautiful zombies, enjoying the horror mood of the EP "Burial Mounds". Have you ever shaken hands with the dead? You don't have to, just listen to this album. I'm an old dog who's been listening to death metal for over thirty years. I dare say this new release is for me and all the damned. Death comes in many forms and the one these darkies present to us is very cruel, ugly and swamping. It is, of course, deeply underground. The novelty must have been recorded in the dark catacombs. At first, I only see a few strange shadows in them. Then there are strange noises from the morgue and the cries of the undead. A rotting, sweltering, putrid death metal exhumation of mangy coffins!

Občas se to stává. Satan na sebe vezme lidskou podobu. Všichni asi znáte příběh sériového vraha a satanisty Richarda Ramiréze. Jedná se o jednoho z největších bastardů, kteří chodili po světě. Jeho činy dodnes šokují. Byl ztělesněním zla, hnusu a zvrácenosti. Říkalo se mu Night Stalker a je o něm i nové EP polských death metalistů TORTURED CORPSE. Pokud máte rádi starý, prašivý a shnilý smrtící kov, tak neváhejte ani chvilku.

Při poslechu budete v Kalifornii a budete se toulat nočními ulicemi. Uvidíte a uslyšíte bestii, která je na lovu. Lidský odpad, který byl dopaden až po dlouhé době, který se vysmíval soudu i pozůstalým. A to všechno za zvuků EP s příhodným názvem "Night Stalker". Poláci na to jdou poctivě, opravdově. Koneckonců, posuďte sami. Stačí jen přidat hlasitost. 


Opět se pohybujeme ve stejných hudebních katakombách jako kapely typu CANNIBAL CORPSE, ROTTREVORE, NUNSLAUGHTER, IMPETIGO, REPULSION, CARCASS, AUTOPSY. Autentický, prašivý a hnisavý zvuk, jeden závěrečný cover od Slaughter, obal se sériovým vrahem a hlavně temná a syrová atmosféra - tohle všechno dělá z novinky doslova povinnost pro všechny, kdo mají rádi ryzí death metal, který je zahrán s jediným úmyslem. Zničit vás a pohřbít zaživa. Smrt je při poslechu opravdu blízko. Psal jsem to již minule, když pánové vydali EP "Rites of Putridity and Death" (odkaz na recenzi a rozhovor najdete dole pod dnešním článkem). TORTURED CORPSE se povedlo mě přenést do hororového filmu, který byl kdysi bohužel krutou realitou. Skladby jsou velmi dobře napsány, jsou uvěřitelné, zběsilé, ostré a nekompromisní. Přesně takhle to mám rád. Poslech mi pokaždé připomíná návštěvu starého hřbitova, na kterém naleznu nejen ostatky obětí, ale i spoustu vzpomínek na obskurní smrtící kov, který se hrával v dobách mého mládí. Ano, jsem starý pes, který bude vždy podporovat podobné záležitosti. Myslím ti totiž, že starosvětský death metal nesmí zemřít. Pokud budou existovat kapely jako TORTURED CORPSE, tak o to strach nemám. Představte si temnou ulici. Je ticho, alespoň si to myslíte. Koutkem oka zahlédnete záblesk nože a potom už jenom překvapeně padáte k zemi. Vyhřezlé vnitřnosti, mozek, který se vaří ve vlastní šťávě. "Night Stalker" navštíví jednou i váš domov. Stačí jenom nechat otevřené dveře. Občas se to stává. Satan na sebe vezme lidskou podobu. Old school death metalový útok rezavým nožem!

It happens sometimes. Satan takes on human form. You all probably know the story of serial killer and Satanist Richard Ramirez. He's one of the biggest bastards to walk the earth. His actions are still shocking today. He was the epitome of evil, disgust and depravity. He was called Night Stalker and he is the subject of the new EP by Polish death metallers TORTURED CORPSE. If you like old, dusty and rotten death metal, don't hesitate a moment.

You'll be in California and wandering the night streets while listening to it. You will see and hear a beast that is on the prowl. Human trash that has been caught after a long time, that has mocked the court and the survivors. All to the sounds of the aptly titled "Night Stalker" EP. The Poles go at it honestly, for real. After all, judge for yourself. Just turn up the volume.


Again we are in the same musical catacombs as bands like CANNIBAL CORPSE, ROTTREVORE, NUNSLAUGHTER, IMPETIGO, REPULSION, CARCASS, AUTOPSY. Authentic, dusty and festering sound, one final cover by Slaughter, a cover with a serial killer and most of all dark and raw atmosphere - all this makes the new album literally a must for all those who like pure death metal played with one intention. To destroy you and bury you alive. Death is really close while listening to it. I wrote this last time when the gentlemen released the EP "Rites of Putridity and Death" (link to the review and interview can be found below today's article). TORTURED CORPSE succeeded in transporting me to a horror movie that was once, unfortunately, a harsh reality. The songs are very well written, believable, frantic, edgy and uncompromising. That's how I like it. Listening to them always reminds me of visiting an old cemetery, where I find not only the remains of the victims, but also many memories of the obscure death metal that was played in the days of my youth. Yes, I am an old dog who will always support such things. I mean, I don't think old-world death metal should die. As long as there are bands like TORTURED CORPSE, I'm not worried about that. Imagine a dark street. It's quiet, or so you think. Out of the corner of your eye you see the flash of a knife and then you just fall to the ground in surprise. Guts bulging, brain boiling in its own juices. The "Night Stalker" will one day visit your home. All you have to do is leave the door open. It happens sometimes. Satan takes on human form. Old school death metal attack with a rusty knife!

Někdy dostanu chuť na syrové maso. Ten pocit, když jej odtrháváte od kostí, je neopakovatelný. Touha po čerstvé krvi se nedá zastavit. Je mojí přirozeností. Stejně jako pravý a ryzí death metal z devadesátých let, který se snažím na našich stránkách podporovat. Polské TORTURED CORPSE jsem poprvé potkal na svých nekonečných toulkách v podzemí. Ihned mě zaujal jejich zvuk a touha ničit hudbou.

Žádné zbytečnosti, žádné kompromisy. Jenom živočišný, prašivý útok na samou podstatu smrti. Do očí vás udeří morbidní obal a ihned si budete připadat jako v nějaké morbidní galerii. Jak už jsme psal výše, tahle hudba odtrhává maso od kostí. Je pro mě velmi příjemné se toulat temnými chodbami s jediným cílem, navštívit znovu pitevnu a pustit si "Rites of Putridity and Death" pořádně nahlas. 


Jestli jste, stejně jako já fanoušci starých maniaků CANNIBAL CORPSE, ROTTREVORE, NUNSLAUGHTER, IMPETIGO, REPULSION, CARCASS, AUTOPSY, tak by vám tahle smečka neměla rozhodně uniknout. Pánové jsou naplno oddáni kruté smrti. Je slyšet, že hrají od srdce. Vyříznou vám všechny vnitřnosti z těla, pověsí vás na háky a budou vás mučit ostrými riffy tak dlouho, dokud nevypustíte duši. Smrt má v tomto případě nové jméno. Dáma s kosou si říká TORTURED CORPSE a nezná slitování. Líbí se mi způsob, jakým jsou skladby napsány. Jasně, jedná se o debut, kterému lze ledacos odpustit. Ale nemusím. Pokud totiž vyznáváte primitivní a syrové počátky stylu zvaného smrtící kov, asi moc dobře víte, o čem píšu. Pánové sice nepřinášejí nic nového, ale to co dělají, umí perfektně. Zabíjejí muzikou s nadšením a odhodláním starých mistrů řezníků. Představte si plesnivou rakev, v ní prastarou mrtvolu prokletého mnicha. Dovedu si představit, že bude v rukou držet toto EP. Usmívá se, stejně jako Satan, který se toulá kolem. Někdy dostanu chuť na syrové maso. Ten pocit, když jej odtrháváte od kostí, je neopakovatelný. Touha po čerstvé krvi se nedá zastavit. Je mojí přirozeností. Stejně jako pravý a ryzí death metal z devadesátých let, který se snažím na našich stránkách podporovat. Buďte jako zombie! Poslouchejte "Rites of Putridity and Death"! Hnisavý death metal z prašivých hrobů!

Sometimes I get a craving for raw meat. The sensation of tearing it off the bone is unrepeatable. The desire for fresh blood is unstoppable. It's my nature. Just like true and pure death metal from the 90s, which I try to promote on our website. I met Polish TORTURED CORPSE for the first time on my endless underground wanderings. I was immediately taken by their sound and desire to destroy with music.

No uselessness, no compromises. Just an animalistic, mangy attack on the very essence of death. The morbid cover art hits you in the eye and you immediately feel like you're in a morbid gallery. As we wrote above, this music rips the flesh from the bones. I find it very enjoyable to wander the dark corridors with the sole purpose of revisiting the autopsy room and playing "Rites of Putridity and Death" properly loud.


If, like me, you are a fan of old maniacs CANNIBAL CORPSE, ROTTREVORE, NUNSLAUGHTER, IMPETIGO, REPULSION, CARCASS, AUTOPSY, you should not miss this pack. The gentlemen are fully committed to cruel death. You can hear them playing their hearts out. They'll cut all the guts out of your body, hang you on hooks and torture you with sharp riffs until you let your soul out. Death has a new name in this case. The lady with the scythe is called TORTURED CORPSE and she knows no mercy. I like the way the songs are written. Sure, this is a debut that can be forgiven for a lot. But I don't have to. In fact, if you profess the primitive and raw origins of the style called death metal, you probably know very well what I'm writing about. The gentlemen don't bring anything new, but they do what they do perfectly. They kill with music with the enthusiasm and determination of old master butchers. Imagine a mouldy coffin with the ancient corpse of a cursed monk in it. I imagine he'll be holding this EP in his hands. He's smiling, just like Satan wandering around. Sometimes I get a craving for raw meat. The feeling of tearing it from the bone is unrepeatable. You can't stop the desire for fresh blood. It's my nature. Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.?

Tortured Corpse was formed last year on my initiative, i.e. Necro Inspector (Drums) a moment later Greg joined me and that's how we started working on the first songs ... some time later we were joined by the vocalist Agressor, whom we met one day at the gym doing triceps training.. .(hahaha) together we started to write compositions. Artur (Bass) joined us in January. I am very happy with the current line-up. I have people who are 100% dedicated to Oldschool Death Metal and excellent musicians. We're here to Play Obscure old school Death Metal in the style of the best albums of the 90s, nothing more!

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

"Rites Of Putridity and Death" is our debut EP or MCD if you prefer because the material lasts less than 26 minutes. I am personally very pleased with the material contained on "Rites...., the more that the material was created in only 2.5 months at a crazy pace and thanks to my brothers that they managed to create it all in such a short time! The whole thing was recorded in our rehearsal room, it's not a hundred, but tracks because we really have a lot of music recording equipment. Mastering and mixing was done by our guitarist Greg, and he really did a great job! it's raw, dingy, like in the 90s... just like we wanted.


How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

All lyrics are written by Agressor. They are about death, torture, serial killers, and everything that is disgusting. The song "Hellbound" is our little tribute to the movie Hellraiser II. We all think it's the best part of this series. After "Hell on Earth" this series does not exist for us. It's getting worse from film to film ... on the next material there will be a text dedicated to "The Return Of The Living Dead 3" that's all I can tell ... it will be our little tradition ... I'm not young and perfect anymore I remember the days of VHS tapes and rentals when you would go and take tons of horror movies like Evil Dead, Zombie 2, Puppet Master, Shocker and many more. It was a great time. It's our little homage to those old iconic movies and times.


Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

The logo was made by our friend from Hungary, we are very pleased, we think it is very oldschool and fits perfectly with our music. The young artist Magdalena Mielnik, very talented, is responsible for the front cover. Greg had the whole vision for the cover, and he handled it all. It matched our music perfectly. Everyone says that it is associated with Cannibal Corpse and that was our assumption very well. "Tomb Of The Mutilated" is a great album... what more can I say...(haha) Of course, I think that social networks, forums, etc. are very necessary nowadays. we can reach many places around the world thanks to Bandcamp or YouTube .... in the past, flyers were photocopied and sent in letters, stamps were smeared with soap to be used again .... those were beautiful magical times ... now it is gone and there is a lot of it missing .... now thanks to the Internet everything is at your fingertips .... unfortunately we have such times and we have to use it.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

Sent out probably two hundred e-mails asking about the release of our material, enclosing a full promotional package along with music files .... I got at the moment .... 17 replies .... it shows how label bosses approach new bands, they can't even write back "thanks for the info but fuck you". It's very sad such ignorance .. well ... release Jewelcase CD will take care of the Spanish Hecatombe Records. (500 pieces)The cassette comes out at the Chinese Huangquan Records. (100 pieces) We would also like to know about releases of our material on other continents as well as on LP. If anyone is interested in working with us, feel free to write.


Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

There's really a lot of it.. the first four Cannibal Corpse, Immolation, Incantation, Dismember, old Grave, old Morbid Angel, Sadistic intent, old Vader, Morpheus Descends, Infester, old Samael.... I sit a lot in old classic albums with years 80/90. It was the best time for metal. It will never come back. Of course, I don't listen only to OSDM...a lot of Black Metal with Archgoat, Immortal,Dark Funeral or Marduk at the forefront...there's a lot of it...

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

As I mentioned earlier, I sent a lot of e-mails with our material and I only got a dozen or so replies... as a curiosity, I also sent inquiries to the label in your country - I didn't get a single answer my e-mail .... well.....


How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

The stage debut is yet to come, it will take place on April 7. We already have two more shows booked. Personally, I don't like big festivals like Brutal Assault, too many people and swamps for me haha..we're leaning more towards underground club gigs....it's fucking underground Death Metal! However, if we get an offer to play at a bigger festival, we will definitely consider it... it would be a nice experience for each of us. Concert organizers write to us if you are interested, we certainly guarantee a solid Death Metal punch and a lot of corpses after the concert (haha)

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

At the moment only promoting "Rites Of Putridity and Death" I think it's a really good death metal scrap and deserves it. We would like to record a two track 7 EP this year. These are the plans. Full debut no earlier than 2024, we're in no rush.
