Hromadíme majetek, ale už se skoro neusmíváme. Svým dětem zaplatíme raději hry, ve kterých se vraždí, než abychom si s nimi promluvili. Spojeni v jednu všemocnou síť ukazujeme, jak se máme dobře, s falešnými úsměvy na rtech, ale uvnitř jsme smutní a prázdní. Prachy vládnou všemu a všem. Někdy mi z toho všeho bývá špatně a znovu a znovu se uzavírám do svého pokoje, abych tam vzpomínal na časy, kdy byl svět ještě v pořádku. Je mi najednou jedno, že všechno kolem hoří. Mám svoji hudbu, svoje záhrobí i rozdrcené kosti.

HYBRIS je jednočlenný projekt, kapela, pod kterou je podepsán německý maniak Johan de Jager. Ten se, stejně jako moje maličkost, zhlédl hlavně v hudbě osmdesátých a devadesátých let. V hudebním death metalovém a grindcoreovém extrému. Nové EP "Viva Exploitation" je ohlodáno až na kost. Vaše mysl i tělo budou rozdrceny! 


Pokud se ve vašem playlistu často objevují kapely jako NAPALM DEATH, staří CARCASS, REPULSION, NASUM, BENEDITION, určitě by se vám mohlo líbit i EP "Viva Exploitation". Johan de Jager na mě působí jako muzikant ze staré školy, který ještě sází na opravdovost, reálnost, autenticitu. Jeho melodie jsou ostré, nekompromisní, ale zároveň chladné a temné jako čerstvě vykopaný hrob. Když si to vezmu kolem a kolem, tak jsem kdysi začal tenhle styl poslouchat hlavně kvůli tomu, že jsem si připadl jiný, štvalo mě na společnosti i světě spousta věcí. Netuším, jak se to stalo, ale mám to nastavené v hlavě stále stejně, i po skoro více než třiceti letech poslechu podobných záležitostí. Vždy ocením více syrový zásek do mé hlavy, než nějaké umělé nahrávky bez duše. Nevadí mi špína, ani hnis, které ke mě při poslechu této desky stékají z reproduktorů. Naopak, užívám si surový zvuk, divoké postupy, chorobný vokál. Novinka je pro mě nastaveným zrcadlem současnému podivnému světu. Kývám se spokojeně do rytmu, užívám si jednotlivé motivy a stále řvu do tmy fuck you všem hajzlům. Jiný už nebudu a jsem pokaždé rád, když potkám na svých toulkách podzemím kapely jako jsou HYBRIS. Zkrátka a dobře, je to vlastně hrozně jednoduché. Když poslouchám tohle album, říkám si stále dokola - jo, to je přesně ono, tahle muzika koluje i v mých žilách. Cítím, vnímám, že je zahraná od srdce. Nemohu tedy opět jinak, než vám EP doporučit. Troufám si tvrdit, že by nemělo chybět ve sbírce každého opravdového fanouška stylu. Perfektně seřízená grind death metalová mašina na zabíjení, po které zůstává hluboká krvavá stopa! Temnota a chlad lidské duše!

We accumulate wealth, but we hardly ever smile anymore. We would rather pay for our children to play games in which people are killed than talk to them. Connected in one almighty network, we show how well off we are, with fake smiles on our lips, but inside we are sad and empty. Money rules everything and everyone. HYBRIS is a one-man project, a band signed by German maniac Johan de Jager. Like myself, he is mainly inspired by the music of the 1980s and 1990s. Extreme death metal and grindcore music. The new EP "Viva Exploitation" is stripped down to the bone. Your mind and body will be crushed! 


If bands like NAPALM DEATH, old CARCASS, REPULSION, NASUM, and BENEDITION often appear in your playlist, you might also like the EP "Viva Exploitation". Johan de Jager strikes me as an old-school musician who still values truthfulness, realism, and authenticity. His melodies are sharp and uncompromising, yet cold and dark like a freshly dug grave. When I think about it, I started listening to this style mainly because I felt different, and a lot of things about society and the world annoyed me. I don't know how it happened, but I still feel the same way, even after more than thirty years of listening to similar stuff. I will always appreciate a raw punch to my head more than some soulless artificial recordings. I don't mind the dirt or pus that drips from the speakers when I listen to this album. On the contrary, I enjoy the raw sound, the wild techniques, the morbid vocals. For me, this new release is a mirror reflecting the strange world we live in today. I sway contentedly to the rhythm, enjoying each motif and still yelling "fuck you" to all the assholes in the dark. I won't be any different, and I'm always happy when I come across bands like HYBRIS on my wanderings through the underground. In short, it's actually very simple. When I listen to this album, I keep saying to myself - yeah, that's exactly it, this music runs through my veins too. I feel, I sense that it is played from the heart. So once again, I can't help but recommend this EP to you. I dare say that it should not be missing from the collection of any true fan of the genre. A perfectly tuned grind death metal killing machine that leaves a deep bloody trail behind it! The darkness and coldness of the human soul!

Ztracený v mlze všedních dní bloudíš nekonečnými chodbami podzemí. Marně hledáš alespoň chvilku klidu. Nasloucháš nářku prokletých, objevuješ stále nové a nové kapely, které umí svojí hudbou znázornit temnotu a chlad, které se ukrývají hluboko v každém z nás. Neodbytný strach ze smrti i z vlastního svědomí. Objevil se již během prvního setkání s albem "Confutatis". A měl moji tvář. Vypadal jako démon z těch nejhorších nočních můr.

Poslouchám novinku japonských maniaků BURDEN OF DESPAIR stále dokola a stala se pro mě mrtvolnou mantrou, tajemným zaříkáváním i magickým obřadem pro vyvolávání zlých a temných sil z onoho světa. Staroškolský americký death metal, surový a zahnívající doom a nahrubo nasekané kousky hardcore. Tohle vše dohromady tvoří celek, který vás navěky prokleje. Amen!


Svět kolem nás je plný utrpení, zla a špíny. Někdy bývá těžké nalézt alespoň nějaké světlo. Japonci tohle všechno vytáhli na povrch, opatřili masivním a zabijáckým zvukem (Rec/Mixed/Mastered: Seitaro Inui (246 studio)). Za velmi zajímavý a stylově zaměřený považuji i motiv na obalu, pod kterým je podepsán mistr Namurian Visions namurianvisions.com. Hlavní je, ostatně jako vždy hudba samotná. Tentokrát mi nejvíce připomíná smradlavou zkaženou krev, která vytéká pomalu ze staré zanícené rány. Jakoby byl pro mě každý riff ostrým nožem, který mi je zabodnut do těla, jakoby byl každý úder bicích ránou přímo do hlavy. Připočtěte si chorobami nasáklý vokál a z výsledné rovnice vám nakonec vyjde výsledek, který nelze ignorovat. Pokud posloucháte hudbu hlavně srdcem, potom má slova určitě potvrdíte. Jako vždy nejvíce oceňuji opravdovost, ryzost, schopnost napsat zajímavý motiv. Kapela do mě zasekla svůj dráp a nahrávka "Confutatis" se pro mě stala na dlouhou dobu mým hlavním průvodcem nekonečnými chodbami podsvětí. Představte si špinavou stoku pod vaším městem, plnou hnisu, špíny, lidského odpadu a beznaděje. Také cítíte ten pach rozkladu? Pokud ano, tak se vám budou určitě líbit i BURDEN OF DESPAIR. Jakoby mě při poslechu obejmula samotná smrt. Cítím její kostnaté ruce, slyším její jedovatý smích. Ztracený v mlze všedních dní bloudím nekonečnými chodbami podzemí. Lost in the fog of everyday life, you wander through endless underground corridors. You search in vain for a moment of peace. The persistent fear of death and of one's own conscience. It appeared during my first encounter with the album "Confutatis". And it had my face. It looked like a demon from the worst nightmares.

I listen to the new album by Japanese maniacs BURDEN OF DESPAIR over and over again, and it has become a deadly mantra for me, a mysterious incantation and a magical ritual for summoning evil and dark forces from that world. Old-school American death metal, raw and rotting doom, and roughly chopped pieces of hardcore. All this together forms a whole that will curse you forever. Amen!

 
The world around us is full of suffering, evil, and filth. Sometimes it's hard to find even a glimmer of light. The Japanese have brought all this to the surface, providing it with a massive and killer sound (Rec/Mixed/Mastered: Seitaro Inui (246 studio)). I also find the cover art, signed by master Namurian Visions namurianvisions.com, very interesting and stylistically focused. The main thing, as always, is the music itself. This time, it reminds me most of the stench of rotten blood slowly oozing from an old infected wound. It's as if each riff is a sharp knife stabbed into my body, as if each drum beat is a blow directly to the head. Add to that the disease-soaked vocals, and the resulting equation gives you a result that cannot be ignored. If you listen to music mainly with your heart, then you will certainly agree with my words. As always, I appreciate authenticity, purity, and the ability to write an interesting motif the most. The band has sunk its claws into me, and the album "Confutatis" has become my main guide through the endless corridors of the underworld for a long time to come. Imagine a dirty sewer beneath your city, full of pus, filth, human waste, and despair. Can you smell the stench of decay? If so, you'll definitely like BURDEN OF DESPAIR. It's as if death itself embraces me when I listen to it. I feel its bony hands, hear its poisonous laughter. Lost in the fog of everyday life, I wander through endless underground corridors. Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.?

The band was formed by guitarist 7405926 (ex-Cryptic Revelation, Dyingrace) in 2004 .
We released 2 demos in 2004-2006, and soon took a hiatus.

After a long rest, the band changed the members and restarted activity with 1st EP 'Desecration' in 2022.

In 2025, we released the 1st album 'Confutatis'.

The sound contains slow, doomy, brutal, and hardcore-essence like Disincarnate meets Winter played by Merauder.


Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

'Confutatis' was recorded and engineered at Studio 246 Osaka by Japanese Top-Sludgy Engineer Seitaro Inui.

All instruments were recorded as one-take at the same time, except Vocal and additional sounds.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

In Japan we self-release 500 copies as CDs.
Memento-Mori re-issued 800 copies for overseas as CD.
Digital on Bandcamp and Streaming services.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

All lyrics by Kiske, the vocalist.
The main theme is about the Abrahamic religions.
It satirizes how Abrahamic religions have been arbitrarily interpreted and applied by various people, historically causing endless misfortune.


Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

The Logo is created by Yuto Kotani, the composer of Parasitario, Japanese Great Death Metal band.
Almost all graphic designs by Kiske.
Amazing Artwork for 'Confutatis' is by Namurian Visions from the UK.
We use SNS for just announcements.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

Once we released by self, after that, Memento-Mori from Spain contacted us to re-issue.
We are very satisfied with the label’s deal, which is so respectful and underground-ways.


Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

Cannibal Corpse, Disincarnate, Malevolent Creation, Obituary, My Dying Bride, Mythic, Pantera, Metallica, Meshuggah.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

No.
Memento-Mori founded us.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?

Maybe 20-30 gigs more or less.
The biggest one was with Thy Art Is Murder.
We welcome all types of gigs. Just play our music.
Every time we go forward and brush up.



What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

In the near future we will release our 2nd album.
Already we have the songs enough but we have to refine them.
And we want to play in oversea countries.

Měl jsem neodbytný pocit, že jej znám. Díval se na mě svýma mrtvýma očima a když jsem jej vyndal z hrobu, tak ke mě promlouval. Jeho slova o bolesti, o utrpení, o mučení, o starých dobrých časech, ve mě zanechala hlubokou stopu. Stejně jako nové album kanadských maniaků SCORCHING TOMB. Ti letos přicházejí se svým debutem a stačilo mi poprvé zapnout play, abych sám sebe exhumoval z prašivého hrobu. Novinka je velmi ostrým, nekompromisním albem, které obsahuje i velké množství chladu a naprosté tmy.

Pánové z Montrealu se drží klasických smrtících postupů, ale přidávají i pořádnou porci ostrého a divokého hardcore. Novinka je tak nejen další z exhumací prašivých hrobů, ale dostává jiný, divočejší a surovější rozměr. Navíc, a to je pro mě rozhodující a zásadní, se nová nahrávka velmi dobře poslouchá. Koneckonců, posuďte sami z přiložených ukázek. Doporučuji volume pořádně doprava. 


Kývám se spokojeně do rytmu, přesně tak, jak to my staří hrobníci s oblibou děláme u muziky, která koluje i v našich žilách. "Ossuary" je přesně tím druhem alba, jehož síla nejvíc vynikne v momentech, kdy si potřebujete propláchnout hlavu kyselinou. Po těžkém dni, kdy na vás útočilo obrovské množství nepotřebných negativních informací. V pátek odpoledne, když jdete z práce nebo když potkáte na ulici rozzuřený dav. Dle mého skromného úsudku se povedlo vlastně všechno. Zvuk, motiv na obalu, ale hlavně hudba, u které mám pokaždé hroznou chuť vzít do rukou kladivo a jít zbourat nejbližší zeď. Smrt má spoustu podob a tu, kterou nám přinášejí SCORCHING TOMB, je krutá, hnusná a ošklivá. Najdete tu vše potřebné. Nakumulovaný zdravý vztek, touhu ničit muzikou, ostré zabijácké riffy, bestiální vokál, bicí, které vám vystřelí mozek z hlavy. No řekněte, co si víc vlastně můžeme my, oddaní fanoušci tohoto morbidního stylu přát? Rád bych napsal i něco kritického, ale nenapadá mě v podstatě vůbec nic. Možná snad jen v některých momentech mi připadají některé skladby lehce stereotypní (možná je to ale díky hardcore prvkům). Berte to ale jenom jako rýpnutí starého psa, který toho slyšel už tolik, že to vydá na několik lidských životů. Zkrátka a dobře, nové album se valí kupředu jako lavina z kostí, krve a surového kamení. Novinka mě zcela pohltila, důkazem budiž dnešní recenze. O kapelách, které mě nebaví, už dávno nepíšu. Měl jsem neodbytný pocit, že jej znám. Díval se na mě svýma mrtvýma očima a když jsem jej vyndal z hrobu, tak ke mě promlouval. Jeho slova o bolesti, o utrpení, o mučení, o starých dobrých časech, ve mě zanechala hlubokou stopu. Teď už vím, exhumoval jsem svůj vlastní hrob. Surové, nekompromisní death metalové album, které vám vystřelí mozek z hlavy! Masakr v márnici!

I had a persistent feeling that I knew him. He looked at me with his dead eyes and when I took him out of the grave, he spoke to me. His words about pain, about suffering, about torture, about the good old days, left a deep mark on me. Just like the new album by Canadian maniacs SCORCHING TOMB. They are coming out with their debut this year and I just had to turn on the play for the first time to exhume myself from the dusty grave. The new album is a very sharp, uncompromising album that also contains a lot of coldness and absolute darkness.

The gentlemen from Montreal stick to the classic deadly methods, but also add a good portion of sharp and wild hardcore. The new album is not only another exhumation of dusty graves, but it gets a different, wilder and rawer dimension. Moreover, and this is crucial and essential for me, the new record is very easy to listen to. Ultimately, judge for yourself from the attached samples. I recommend turning the volume all the way to the right.


I nod contentedly to the rhythm, just like us old gravediggers like to do with music that also circulates in our veins. "Ossuary" is exactly the kind of album whose power stands out the most in moments when you need to rinse your head with acid. After a hard day when you were attacked by a huge amount of unnecessary negative information. On a Friday afternoon when you are walking home from work or when you meet an angry crowd on the street. In my humble opinion, everything has been done well. The sound, the motif on the cover, but especially the music that always makes me want to pick up a hammer and go demolish the nearest wall. Death has many forms and the one that SCORCHING TOMB bring us is cruel, disgusting and ugly. You will find everything you need here. Accumulated healthy anger, the desire to destroy with music, sharp killer riffs, bestial vocals, drums that will blow your brains out. Well, tell me, what more could we, devoted fans of this morbid style, wish for? I would like to write something critical, but I can't think of anything at all. Maybe only in some moments some of the songs seem slightly stereotypical to me (maybe it's thanks to the hardcore elements). But just take it as the digging of an old dog who has heard so much that it will cost several human lives. In short, the new album is rolling forward like an avalanche of bones, blood and raw stones. The news completely engulfed me, as evidenced by today's review. I haven't written about bands I don't enjoy for a long time. I had a nagging feeling that I knew him. He looked at me with his dead eyes and when I took him out of the grave, he spoke to me. His words about pain, suffering, torture, and the good old days left a deep mark on me. Now I know, I've exhumed my own grave. A raw, uncompromising death metal album that will blow your brains out! Morgue massacre!

Další rezavý hřeb, který ti brzy zatluče do lebky. Sedíš tu svázaný již několik dní. Nikdy jste se neviděli, stal si se náhodnou obětí. Ve staré kobce, uprostřed ničeho. Nikdo neslyšel tvoji bolest, nikdo neviděl tvůj strach. Přál sis zemřít. Místo toho si znovu spatřil jedovatý úsměv na jeho tváři a prosil si o slitování. Jednou najdou možná tvoje tělo, pohřbené bez náhrobku. V mělkém hrobě na zahradě kláštera, ve kterém jiní dostávají rozhřešení. Již brzy přejdeš na druhou stranu, opakoval mi stále dokola.

Občas mívám podobné hororové sny. Zrovna jsem poslouchal nové EP kanadských tmářů SERPENT CORPSE a mé nihilistické myšlenky a představy dostaly zcela jiný výraz. Tahle smečka totiž perfektně rozumí svého morbidnímu řemeslu. Zatluče vám pomocí nové hudby do hlavy spoustu dalších rezavých hřebů. 


Jsou to silné melodie, parádní prašivý zvuk i spousta neotřelých nápadů, které mě stále nutí k opakovaným poslechům. Je slyšet, že pánové pevně věří své kruté práci a dělají ji opravdově, uvěřitelně. Klasický death metal (AUTOPSY, ABSCESS, CIANIDE, BOLT THROWER, ENTOMBED) se zde potkává s nahrubo nasekaným thrash metalem. Zazní ale i hardcoreové prvky. Vše je náležitě špinavé, hnusné, divoké a nekompromisní. Zároveň, a to se mi osobně velmi líbí, nezapomíná kapela ani na jasné a zřetelné melodie. Zadřou se vám pod kůži. Zůstanou tam, zničí vás, začnou ve vás hlodat jako nějaká hnusná choroba. Shnijete postupně zevnitř, stanete se svým vlastním stínem. SERPENT CORPSE vás vezmou na dlouhý výlet bez  konce. Potkáte duše zemřelých, své vlastní démony i všechny prokleté. Opravdu, když "Retaliate" poslouchám, tak si přijdu jako na návštěvě místa, na kterém se stalo něco děsivého, hrozného, násilného. Slyším nářek obětí, vidím krvavé skvrny na podlaze, které již nikdy nepůjdou umýt. Navždy zůstaly jako šílený otisk v našich myslích. Troufám si tvrdit, že se nové EP povedlo na výbornou. A to jak po formální stránce (zvuk, motiv na obalu, produkce, vše je v nejlepším pořádku), tak i po té skladatelské. Bylo mi opět velkou ctí se nechat zavřít do staré plesnivé kobky a nechat si zatlouct do hlavy muziku, kterou lze právem označit vysokou známkou kvality. Další rezavý hřeb, který mi brzy zatluče do lebky. Sedím tu svázaný již několik dní. Nikdy jsme se neviděli, stal jsem se náhodnou obětí. Ve staré kobce, uprostřed ničeho. Nikdo neslyšel moji bolest, nikdo neviděl můj strach. Přál jsem si zemřít. Syrový, ostrý a prašivý death thrash metal s krvavým otiskem! Morbidní ozvěny ze starých kobek!

Another rusty nail that will soon be hammered into your skull. You've been sitting here tied up for several days. You've never met before; you've become a random victim. In an old dungeon, in the middle of nowhere. No one heard your pain, no one saw your fear. You wished you were dead. Instead, you saw the poisonous smile on his face again and begged for mercy. One day, they may find your body, buried without a gravestone. In a shallow grave in the garden of a monastery where others receive absolution. Soon you will pass to the other side, he repeated over and over again.

I sometimes have similar horror dreams. I was just listening to the new EP by Canadian dark metal band SERPENT CORPSE, and my nihilistic thoughts and ideas took on a completely different expression. This band perfectly understands their morbid craft. They will hammer a lot of other rusty nails into your head with their new music.


These are powerful melodies, a great raw sound, and lots of fresh ideas that keep me coming back for more. You can hear that these guys firmly believe in their brutal work and do it with sincerity and authenticity. Classic death metal (AUTOPSY, ABSCESS, CIANIDE, BOLT THROWER, ENTOMBED) meets rough thrash metal here. There are also hardcore elements. Everything is appropriately dirty, nasty, wild, and uncompromising. At the same time, and I personally like this very much, the band does not forget about clear and distinct melodies. They get under your skin. They stay there, destroy you, and start gnawing at you like some nasty disease. You will gradually rot from the inside, becoming your own shadow. SERPENT CORPSE will take you on a long journey with no end. You will meet the souls of the dead, your own demons, and all the damned. Really, when I listen to "Retaliate", I feel like I'm visiting a place where something terrifying, horrible, and violent has happened. I hear the cries of the victims, I see the bloody stains on the floor that can never be washed away. They remain forever as a crazy imprint in our minds. I dare say that the new EP is excellent. Both in terms of form (sound, cover art, production, everything is in perfect order) and composition. It was once again a great honor to be locked in an old moldy dungeon and have music that can rightly be described as high quality hammered into my head. Another rusty nail that will soon be hammered into my skull. I've been sitting here tied up for several days. We've never met, I became a random victim. In an old dungeon, in the middle of nowhere. No one heard my pain, no one saw my fear. I wished I were dead. Raw, sharp, and mangy death thrash metal with a bloody imprint! Morbid echoes from old dungeons!

Běžíš tmou. Větve tě šlehají do obličeje a drásají tvoje tělo do krve. Bojíš se dlouhých stínů, máš strach, že tě nakonec uloví. Jsi jenom další z obětí. Pro ně je to jenom hra, pro tebe boj o život. Parta zhýralých maniaků, kteří už dávno zažili skoro všechno. Nakonec tě stejně dostanou, to moc dobře víš. Než se tak ale stane, budeš poslouchat nové album finských REFUSAL. Perfektně totiž sedne k tvému poslednímu souboji. Je dynamické, ostré, nekompromisní. Jako současná podivná společnost.

Pánové opět řežou do živého. Jejich novinka je nastaveným zrcadlem našim zkaženým duším. Na jedné straně tu máme pohádkově bohaté, kteří ale nezbohatli díky své píli a poctivé práci, ale na utrpení jiných. Svět byl vždycky zkažený. Dnes je to ale vidět o hodně víc. Občas je dobré, když to někdo pojmenuje. Není dne, abych se neutvrzoval v tom, že politika je svinstvo. Nevím, jak jste na tom vy, ale podobná muzika mi pomáhá přežít. 


Deset divokých, nespoutaných a živočišných skladeb se vám dostane ihned pod kůži. Kombinace starého death metalu, grindcore, ale i třeba hardcore je doslova návyková. Jako nějaká nová droga, co vám rozloží mozek. Je to hodně intenzivní zážitek, který vás strhne do víru, rozemele na prach. Roztrháni na kusy padnete na úplné dno, abyste nakonec vstali jako bájný Fénix. Silnější než kdy dřív, odhodláni bojovat. Proti všem, proti nespravedlnosti. "Venomous Human Concept" je surovým útokem na vaše podvědomí. Myslím si, že fanoušci třeba takových NAPALM DEATH, MISERY INDEX, ENTOMBED, ROTTEN SOUND, NASUM, EXHUMED, budou určitě spokojeni. A nejen oni. Jedná se totiž o poctivou muziku, zahranou od srdce, s nadšením a odhodláním zabíjet hudbou. Nevím, jestli jste někdy zažili rozzuřený dav, řádící v ulicích, ale můj pocit z nové nahrávky je hodně podobný. Jakoby ve skladbách byl takový zvláštní neklid. Zuřivost, nakumulovaný vztek, odpor proti zkažené společnosti. Je tu opravdu všechno, co mám na tomhle stylu rád. Zkrátka a dobře, tahle smečka vám vystřelí mozek z hlavy, stanete se jen lovenou zvěří, jako hrdina mého dnešního úvodu nebo jako krysa na obalu. Mimochodem, zvuk se také povedl. Nezbývá mi nic jiného, než vám novinku doporučit. Běžím tmou. Větve mě šlehají do obličeje a drásají moje tělo do krve. Bojím se dlouhých stínů, mám strach, že mě nakonec uloví. Jsem jenom další z obětí. Pro ně je to jenom hra, pro mne boj o život. Surový, nekompromisní death metalový útok smečky rozzuřených psů! Album ostré jako břitva!

Ten wild, unrestrained, and animalistic tracks will immediately get under your skin. The combination of old death metal, grindcore, and even hardcore is literally addictive. Like some new drug that will blow your mind. It's a very intense experience that will sweep you into a whirlwind and grind you into dust. Torn to pieces, you will fall to the very bottom, only to rise again like the mythical Phoenix. Stronger than ever, determined to fight. Against everyone, against injustice. "Venomous Human Concept" is a raw attack on your subconscious. I think fans of bands like NAPALM DEATH, MISERY INDEX, ENTOMBED, ROTTEN SOUND, NASUM, and EXHUMED will definitely be satisfied. And not only them. This is honest music, played from the heart, with enthusiasm and a determination to kill with music. I don't know if you've ever experienced an angry mob rampaging through the streets, but my feeling about the new recording is very similar. It's as if there is a strange restlessness in the songs. Fury, accumulated anger, resistance against a corrupt society. It really has everything I love about this style. In short, this pack will blow your brains out, you'll become just prey, like the hero of my introduction today or like the rat on the cover. By the way, the sound is also great. I have no choice but to recommend this new release to you. I'm running through the darkness. Branches whip my face and tear my body to shreds. I'm afraid of long shadows, afraid they'll catch me in the end. I'm just another victim. For them, it's just a game, for me, it's a fight for my life. Máš úplně všechno. Pěkný dům, milou ženu, nikdy si neměl hlad. Tvoje děti tě mají rády a stejně tě sere celej svět. V práci ti připadají všichni hloupí, šéf není také z nejchytřejších a tak chodíš domů frustrovaný a sekáš kolem sebe drápem, jakoby se ti opravdu něco dělo. Sedáváš u internetu a píšeš sprostá slova lidem, které si nikdy neviděl. Všechno je špatně, nikdo ničemu nerozumí. Jsi politik, sportovní trenér, akademik i hudební kritik. Hele vole a co kdyby sis dal jen tak nohy nahoru, otevřel pivo a pustil si starý klip od Brayana Adamse - Summer Of '69?

Že tě to nebaví, že už ti to přijde starý a naivní? Tak zkus třeba thrash grind hardcore maniaky HATCHEND. Myslím si, že ti by mohli svojí hudbou propláchnout tvůj nakažený mozek a vyčistit jej od zbytečností a frustrací. Tihle pánové (mimo jiné působící ve smečkách jako BIRDFLESH, DERANGED, RAZORRAPE, DEATHENING), moc dobře vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát - surovou, na kost ohlodanou muziku, která vás rozseká na kusy. 


Vždycky se mi líbil zvuk otevíraného piva, ten klid a rozvaha, které tenhle nápoj přináší. S novou deskou "Summer Of '69" je to velmi podobné. I když se v extrémní hudbě pohybuji spíše v temnotě a na starých pohřebištích, tak musím uznat, že mě tahle nahrávka strhla do víru. Ta síla, energie, ten neskutečný tlak, melodie, které se mi zadřely pod kůži. V televizi už jenom vaří a nebo vyšetřují vraždy, já už tomuhle světu pomalu přestávám rozumět. Líbí se mi, že HATCHEND na to jdou opravdově, reálně, uvěřitelně. Navíc, na to se často zapomíná, mají pánové talent rozdrtit vaše kosti a vystřelit vám mozek z hlavy. Zvuk je surový, dynamický a zničující (mixoval a masteroval Ulf Blomberg), obal je také povedený, nemyslíte? Zkrátka a dobře, fanoušek dostane přesně to, co chce a žádá. Plus navíc takový ten neklid, touhu jít do garáže, vzít do rukou kladivo a rozsekat nejbližší zeď, televizi i počítač. Je to underground, jsou to melodie, které zpočátku znějí možná trošku chaoticky, ale časem se usadí a stanou se pro vás doslova nutností. Alespoň takhle na mě album funguje. Vždycky, když podobné desky poslouchám, tak si říkám, jak by bylo na světě krásně, kdyby všichni ti frustrovaní, co berou do rukou zbraně a ubližují druhým, raději skočili do mosh-pitu a vyřádili se dole pod pódiem. Ano, nové album na mě má skoro až terapeutický účinek. A to, prosím pěkně, není v dnešní divné době vůbec málo. Mám úplně všechno. Pěkný dům, milou ženu, nikdy jsem neměl hlad. Moje děti mě mají rády a stejně mě sere celej svět. Ne, vlastně ne, klid. Poslouchám "Summer Of '69" a moje mysl je čistá jako hladina horského jezera! Surový, neurvalý, divoký thrash hardcore metal, který vás vytrhne z temných hlubin vašich vlastních myšlenek!

That you're tired of it, that it's old and naive? Then try thrash grind hardcore maniacs HATCHEND. I think they could flush your infected brain with their music and clean it from uselessness and frustrations. These guys (among others active in packs like BIRDFLESH, DERANGED, RAZORRAPE, DEATHENING) know very well what they want to play and how they want to play it - raw, gnawed-to-the-bone music that will cut you to pieces.

 

I've always liked the sound of a beer being opened, the calm and serenity that this drink brings. It's very similar with the new album "Summer Of '69". Even though I tend to be more into the dark and old graveyards of extreme music, I have to admit that this record took me into a vortex. The power, the energy, the incredible pressure, the melodies that got under my skin. All they do on TV anymore is cook or investigate murders, I'm slowly losing my understanding of this world. I like the fact that HATCHEND go for it in a real, real, believable way. Plus, it's often forgotten, the gentlemen have a knack for crushing your bones and blowing your brains out. The sound is raw, dynamic and devastating (mixed and mastered by Ulf Blomberg), the cover art is also hilarious, don't you think? In short, the fan gets exactly what he wants and demands. Plus the extra restlessness, the desire to go to the garage, pick up a hammer and smash the nearest wall, TV and computer. It's underground, it's tunes that may sound a bit chaotic at first, but eventually settle in and become a literal must have. At least that's how the album works for me. Whenever I listen to albums like this, I always think how beautiful the world would be if all those frustrated people who pick up guns and hurt others would rather jump into a mosh pit and goof off down below the stage. Yes, the new album has an almost therapeutic effect on me. And that, please, is no small thing in these strange times. I've got everything. A nice house, a nice wife, I've never been hungry. My kids love me, and the whole world still gives a shit about me. No, actually, no, relax. I'm listening to "Summer Of '69" and my mind is as clear as a mountain lake! Raw, unbridled, savage thrash hardcore metal that will take you out of the dark depths of your own thoughts!

Někdy bývá těžké se rozhodnout. Temná hlubina pod tebou je tak lákavá. Žiletka v koupelně jakoby ti říkala, aby ses znovu řízl do svého zápěstí. Pokaždé, když jdeš ven, tak si s sebou bereš provaz se smyčkou na konci. U snídaně přemýšlíš, jaký jed by nejvíce bolel. Nakonec to ale neuděláš. Raději zařveš do tmy a poslechneš si nějakou hudbu, která tě nabije energií. Někdy na člověka všechno padá. V těchto momentech doporučuji poslech nové desky TERMINAL NATION z Arkansasu.

Jedná se o moje první setkání s kapelou a musím rovnou napsat, že jsem doslova stržen. Kapela vzala pomocí svých skladeb obrovské kladivo a praštila mě s ním přímo do ksichtu. Kombinace starého death metalu a hardcore, vztek, frustrace, nakumulovaná nenávist. Tohle všechno zde najdete. Smíchané ve velmi jedovatém koktejlu. 

Ráno vstaneš a vypadáš, jako by tě přejel buldozer. Všichni kolem jsou ale krásní a dokonalí. Povrchní úsměvy, každý má ve sklepě svoje tajemství. TERMINAL NATION je všechny vzala a nechala je vyplavat na povrch. Všechnu tu lež, přetvářku, všechnu tu faleš, které nás obklopují. Pochoduj a neměj žádné názory. Plať vlastní krví a zemři zničený na prach. Amen. V jednotlivých motivech je neklid, chvění, touha ničit. Chladné, syrové a temné HM-2 a D-beat melodie se zde potkávají s hardoreovou surovostí. Pokud máte rádi kapely jako OUTER HEAVEN, GATECREEPER,  MAMMOTH GRINDER a samozřejmě celou klasickou švédskou školu, bude se vám určitě líbit i nové album "Echoes Of The Devil’s Den". Je totiž nastaveným zrcadlem všeho špatného, co se kolem nás v současném divném světě děje. Až toho zase jednou ne tebe bude hodně, nepřemýšlej nad tím, jaký způsob smrti zvolíš. Raději si pusť tuhle nahrávku pořádně nahlas a rozbij to hnusné zrcadlo. Líbí se mi způsob jakým kapela přistupuje k hudbě jako takové, oceňuji dobrý zvuk i obal. Na desce se objeví i spousta hostů, které odvedli opravdu dobrou práci (seznam naleznete dole pod článkem). Za mě osobně nelze jinak, než novinku doporučit všem, kteří ještě u hudby přemýšlejí. Tohle je masakr přesně podle mého gusta. Doporučuji vypnout všechny sítě světa, zhasnout obrazovky a otočit volume pořádně doprava. Budete roztrháni na kusy! Death metal hardcore masakr, který vám rozdrtí všechny kosti v těle!

Sometimes it's hard to decide. The dark depths beneath you are so tempting. The razor blade in the bathroom seems to be telling you to cut your wrist again. Every time you go out, you take a rope with a loop at the end. At breakfast, you wonder what poison would hurt the most. But in the end, you don't. You'd rather scream in the dark and listen to some music to energize you. Sometimes everything falls on you. In those moments, I recommend listening to the new album from Arkansas' TERMINAL NATION.

This is my first encounter with the band and I have to write right off the bat that I am literally blown away. The band took a huge hammer through their songs and hit me right in the face with it. A combination of old death metal and hardcore, anger, frustration, accumulated hatred. You'll find it all here. Mixed in a very toxic cocktail. 


You get up in the morning and you look like you've been run over by a bulldozer. But everyone around you is beautiful and perfect. Superficial smiles, everyone has a secret in the basement. TERMINAL NATION has taken them all and let them come to the surface. All the lies, all the pretense, all the fakery that surrounds us. March on and have no opinions. Pay with your own blood and die reduced to dust. Amen. There's a restlessness, a trembling, a desire to destroy in each motive. Cold, raw and dark HM-2 and D-beat melodies meet Hardore's rawness here. If you like bands like OUTER HEAVEN, GATECREEPER, MAMMOTH GRINDER and of course the whole classic Swedish school, you will definitely enjoy the new album "Echoes Of The Devil's Den". For it is a set mirror of all the bad things that are happening around us in the current strange world. When it's too much for you again, don't think about the way you choose to die. You better play this record loud and break that ugly mirror. I like the way the band approaches the music itself, I appreciate the good sound and the cover art. There are also a lot of guest appearances on the record and they do a really good job (see the list below). For me personally, I can't help but recommend the new album to everyone who is still thinking about music. This is a massacre exactly to my taste. I recommend turning off all the networks in the world, turning off the screens and turning the volume properly to the right. You will be torn to pieces! A death metal hardcore massacre that will crush every bone in your body!

Včera jsem se vrátil z koncertu. Jel jsem na něj dlouhou cestu vlakem. Kolem mě byli samí naštvaní lidé a svět mi připadal zase jednou pěkně divný. Viděl jsem dívky s rukama rozedřenýma do krve, potkal jsem muže, kteří vypadali jako démoni, jako nemrtví. Potřeboval jsem něco, co mě rozseká na kusy, něco ostrého, divokého, šíleného. Hudbu, která žhne a pálí. Potřeboval jsem nahrubo nasekaný thrash metal s vysokým oktanovým číslem. Maniaci CRIPPLED FINGERS mi jej dodali. Měl jsem chvílemi strach, aby vlak neměl bouračku, směřoval totiž, jak jinak, rovnou do pekla.

Občas mám v hlavě něco temného, co potřebuji dostat ven. Vyřvat se, rozsekat kus syrového masa. Nebo poslouchat nahrávky, jako je ta letošní, od téhle smečky. Třetí dlouhohrající album je nářez od začátku do konce. Syrový, ostrý thrash metal s prvky hardcore. To vše zamíchané ve smrtícím koktejlu. Kapelu jsem viděl před lety naživo a ten posun je neskutečný. Před vámi stojí muzikanti, kteří přesně ví, co a jak chtějí hrát. Marně hledám nějaká slabá místa. 


Máte rádi HATEBREED, AS I LAY DAING, MALEVOLENCE, LAMB OF GOD? Potřebujete ze sebe dostat vztek a frustraci, které nám dnešní podivný svět přináší ve velké míře? Potom neváhejte a skočte rovnou do mosh-pitu. Ve vypjatých momentech připomíná v určitých polohách vokalista Toma Arayau ze SLAYER. Jasně, že najdeme spoustu styčných bodů i s dalšími skupinami. Dnes snad ani nelze nebýt někomu podobný. Ale o to zde ani nejde. Pánové si dali velký pozor na to, aby měli zabijácký zvuk (mixing and mastering Martin "Holly" Hollandr). Ten je moderní, úderný a živočišný zároveň. Žádná současná, mnohdy tak častá umělá produkce. Naopak, mám pocit, že z reproduktorů ke mě stéká zkažená krev. Když si to vezmu kolem a kolem, tak vlastně podobně zaměřenou muziku příliš neposlouchám. Přesto se mi dostala novinka pod kůži a rád jsem se k ní vracel. Kapela na sobě opravdu odvedla velký kus práce. Mám sice raději malé osobnější kluby, kde lidé létají vzduchem, ale CRIPPLED FINGERS se dle mého novinkou posunuli do vyšší ligy, na velká pódia. Zkrátka a dobře, seděl jsem v tom pekelném vlaku, podupával si nohou do rytmu, mlátil pěstí do stolu, až na mě lidé divně koukali. Jenže já si nemůžu pomoc. Skladby v sobě totiž mají velkou sílu, tlak, energii. A to vše namíchané přesně v poměru, v jakém to mám nejraději. Chtělo by to také nějakou kritiku, nemyslíte? Rád bych, ale nic mě nenapadá. Až budete potřebovat něco, co vás rozseká na kusy, něco ostrého, divokého, šíleného. Hudbu, která žhne a spálí vás, tak vám nové album "Through the Pain" opravdu  doporučuji. Zažijete reálnou, poctivou trepanaci lebky. Nahrubo nasekaná thrash metalová smršť, po které vám zůstane v hlavě krvavá stopa! Masakr divokých myšlenek!

I just got back from a concert yesterday. I took a long train ride to it. I was surrounded by angry people and the world seemed pretty weird again. I saw girls with their hands ripped open, I met men who looked like demons, like the undead. I needed something to cut me to pieces, something sharp, wild, crazy. Music that glows and burns. I needed rough-hewn, high-octane thrash metal. Maniacs CRIPPLED FINGERS delivered. At times I was afraid that the train would crash, because it was heading straight to hell.

Sometimes I have something dark in my head that I need to get out. Shout it out, cut up a piece of raw meat. Or listen to records, like this one this year, from this pack. The third full-length is a blast from start to finish. Raw, edgy thrash metal with elements of hardcore. All mixed in a deadly cocktail. I saw the band live years ago and the shift is incredible. In front of you are musicians who know exactly what and how they want to play. I look in vain for any weak spots. 


Do you like HATEBREED, AS I LAY DAING, MALEVOLENCE, LAMB OF GOD? Do you need to get out of yourself the anger and frustration that today's strange world brings us in large measure? Then feel free to jump straight into the mosh pit. In tense moments, the vocalist is reminiscent of SLAYER's Tom Araya in certain positions. Of course, we can find plenty of points of contact with other bands as well. It's impossible not to be like someone nowadays. But that's not even the point here. The gentlemen took great care to have a killer sound (mixing and mastering by Martin "Holly" Hollander). It's modern, punchy and animalistic at the same time. No contemporary, often so common artificial production. On the contrary, I feel like bad blood is dripping out of the speakers towards me. All things considered, I don't really listen to much music of this kind. Still, the novelty got under my skin and I liked coming back to it. The band really did a great job on themselves. I prefer small, more personal clubs where people are flying through the air, but CRIPPLED FINGERS, in my opinion, have moved up to the big league, to the big stages. Long story short, I sat on that infernal train, stomping my foot to the beat, pounding my fist on the table until people looked at me strangely. I just can't help it. The songs have a lot of power, pressure, energy. And it's all mixed in the exact proportions I like it best. It would take some criticism too, don't you think? I'd like to, but I can't think of anything. When you need something that's gonna cut you to pieces, something sharp, wild, crazy. Music that burns and scorches you, I really recommend the new album "Through the Pain". You're going to get a real, honest skull bashing. A coarsely chopped thrash metal blast that will leave a bloody trail in your head! A massacre of wild thoughts!
