Jednou za čas mě to popadne. Musím vyrazit ven. Ztratit se v lesích, vylézt na horu a skočit do hlubin. Vznášet se ve větru, rozdrásat si obličej do krve. Potřebuji k tomu jenom čas a nějakou hudbu, které mě bude na mé cestě provázet. Vybírám velmi pečlivě. Musí se mi dostat do žil, musí mě pálit ve vnitřnostech. Třetí album australské kapely KING mě zastihlo nepřipraveného. O kapele jsem dosud nic nevěděl. Sedl jsem si, několikrát si jejich novinku "Fury and Death" poslechl. V nohách jsem najednou ucítil neklid a musel jsem ven, na vzduch.
Melodie totiž vyniknou nejlépe v chladu a tichu. Mimo rušnou ulici. Toulal jsem se po horách a pomalu se stával stínem. Rozplynul jsem se ve věčnosti. Daleko od lidí, daleko od frustrací, vzteku a nenávisti. Uprostřed nicoty jsem neustále přidával hlasitost a užíval si vznešené, majestátní a epické melodie. Potkává se zde melodický black metal, syrový death a studený vítr z onoho světa. Album nelze jinak, než doporučit.
KING jsou kapelou, která je složená ze samých zkušených muzikantů. Ti moc dobře vědí, jaký chtějí mít zvuk, produkci i obal. Vše sedí krásně na svých místech a vzájemně se doplňuje. Fanoušek tak dostane komplexní zážitek. Pánové ale přidávají i něco navíc, kus sebe samého. Je znát, že pevně věří tomu, co hrají. Vznáším se na ledových vlnách řeky, která teče přímo na onen svět. Loďka se houpá a jsem zmrzlý až na kost. Konečně jsem došel do cíle. Asi už navždy budu mít tuhle nahrávku spojenou s nekonečným touláním nocí. Novinka se opravdu musí poslouchat v klidu, nejlépe i ve tmě. Teprve potom, když nejste ničím rozptylováni, vynikne naplno její síla. Skladby jsou velmi naléhavé, jedovaté. Mám pocit, že stojím ve starém chrámu a kolem nohou se mi plazí hadi. Kroutí se a hypnotizují mě, stejně jako hudba, jako jednotlivé motivy. Nové album mi začalo kolovat v žilách až po nějaké době. "Fury and Death" je přesně tím druhem hudby, která vynikne až po čase. Vyžaduje soustředěný poslech, pochmurnou náladu a touhu poznávat. Musíte mít fantazii a musíte mít rádi vášeň. Letošní deska je velmi pestrým dílem. Australané umí být majestátní a tajemní, ale i ostří a zničující. Celou nahrávkou se potom jako krvavá stopa prolíná zvláštní neklid. Přiznám se, že jsem velmi pozitivně překvapen. Ihned jsem si sehnal i další alba z dílny těchto tmářů a nezbývá mi nic jiného, než se poklonit až k zemi. Jednou za čas mě to popadne. Every once in a while, it gets to me. I have to go out. Get lost in the woods, climb a mountain and jump into the deep. Float in the wind, tear my face to blood. All I need is time and some music to accompany me on my journey. I choose very carefully. It has to get into my veins, it has to burn in my guts. The third album by Australian band KING caught me off guard. I didn't know anything about the band until now. I sat down, listened to their new album "Fury and Death" a few times. Suddenly I felt uneasiness in my legs and I had to go outside for some air.
Melodies are best in the cold and silence. Outside the busy street. I wandered the mountains, slowly becoming a shadow. I dissolved into eternity. Away from people, away from frustration, anger and hatred. In the middle of nowhere, I kept turning up the volume and enjoying the sublime, majestic and epic melodies. Melodic black metal, raw death and cold wind from the other world meet here. The album cannot be recommended in any other way.
KING is a band that is composed of all experienced musicians. They know very well what they want their sound, production and cover to be. Everything fits beautifully in place and complements each other. The fan gets a complete experience. But the gentlemen also add something extra, a piece of themselves. You can tell that they firmly believe in what they are playing. I float on the icy waves of a river that flows straight to the other world. The boat rocks and I'm frozen to the bone. I've finally reached my destination. I'll probably always have this record associated with endless wandering through the night. The novelty really must be listened to in peace, preferably in the dark. Only then, when you are not distracted by anything, will its full power shine through. The songs are very urgent, poisonous. I feel like I'm standing in an old temple with snakes slithering around my feet. They twist and hypnotize me, as much as the music, as much as the individual motifs. The new album started to flow in my veins after some time. "Fury and Death" is exactly the kind of music that comes out after a while. It requires focused listening, a somber mood and a desire to explore. You have to have imagination and you have to like passion. This year's album is a very varied work. The Aussies can be majestic and mysterious, but also edgy and devastating. A strange unease then runs like a trail of blood through the whole record. I must admit that I am very positively surprised. I immediately picked up other albums by these darkies and have no choice but to bow down to the ground. Once in a while it grabs me. I have to get out. Get lost in the woods, climb a mountain and jump into the deep. Float in the wind, tear my face to blood. A sublime, epic melodic black death metal opus! A symphony of fire and ice!
