Asphyx says:

The wind from the north use to be cruel, and when it is mixed with darkness and frost, it can surprise. I must confess that the Pilsen band INNERSPHERE is familiar for me only from live shows. I was standing in front of the stage and thinking that this band had a great portion of talent. I mostly prefer dirtier, raw metal, but the power of their melodies convinces me. They play a little differently than the others, and that's what it counts in Metal.

Already the great cover art (Marek Pišl) or the professional sound (Dan Friml and The Barn Studio) differentiate the band from hundreds of similar ones. The main subject of their first album is the Swedish melodic death metal, interlaced with thrash, black metal and especially it contains such a flickering atmosphere. Like I would stand on a high mountain, a bit above the abyss and was deciding whether to jump or not. I am falling into the depths and "Amnesia" is a very good companion.

I appreciate how the band is playing with the melodies and that the songs have a clear sense and purpose. I remember them, I am able to feel and live together with the band their individual ideas, motifs, melodies. Sometimes INNERSPHERE may think too much, they are too ragged (and interchangeable with others – but who is not?), but such music also must be listened to in peace and quiet. Painful lyrics just give to the record another dimension. I am not listening to Czech records a lot, but "Amnesia" really surprised me very much. It's interesting, fresh, and different. It's not perfect, but maybe that's the reason why I appreciate it even more. It is like life itself. Sad, playful, dark, and angry. It's also a good craft, a music that does not leave me calm. Emotions are flying between me and the player as nightmares around the lamps. INNERSPHERE has stepped forward in the right direction, and although it is the debut, it can be compared at least with European groups. In the massive river of Metal the Pilsen maniacs caught me with this record. Also you direct your faces on the north and you will see that you will like the storm called “Amnesia”! Very good melodic death metal with extra freezing added value!
