Tichý šramot, děsivý smích. Rakve, vytahané ven. Prašivé a plné krvavých vzpomínek. Jako každý den vstupuješ do márnice, zdravíš se s nemrtvými a přemýšlíš, jestli existuje peklo. Nakonec vždycky dojdeš k názoru, že temnota je v každém z nás. Stačí ji jen probudit. V reálném světě si připadáš jako postava zmučená ostrými hřeby, zatlučenými do tvé hlavy. Ale tady, mezi naším a oním světem, se usmíváš. Není divu, finští maniaci AZATOTH přicházejí s novým albem, které je plné hrubozrnného, surového death metalu i podmanivé hororové atmosféry
Zase jednou vím, že jsem zde správně. Osobně jsem měl co do činění již s EP "Ungodly Carnage", na které jsem psal recenzi (odkaz najdete dole pod dnešním článkem). Letošní obřad je pokračováním věcí minulých. Hřbitov je opět plný nočních můr, které se staly krutou realitou a vy si tak můžete vychutnat hudbu, která pochází z toho nejhlubšího podsvětí.
Co se týká hudby samotné, tak ta je volně inspirovaná klasickým finským death metalem, grindcore, ale třeba i bestiálním black metalem. Samozřejmě s tím, že pánové přidávají do skladeb spoustu své invence, nápadů a shnilých ingrediencí. Výsledkem je velmi jedovatý, zasmrádlý koktejl, umíchaný uprostřed nicoty. Riffy se vám zadřou pod kůži, bicí vám vystřelí mozek z hlavy a hlas připomíná právě probuzenou bestii. Žádných námitek nemám ani ke zvuku nebo motivu na obalu. Všechno sedí na svých místech, novinka se velmi dobře poslouchá a rád se k ní vracím. Navíc, má v sobě vše, co potřebuji pro své soukromé záhrobní rituály - je opravdová, ryzí, uvěřitelná a naprosto autentická. Pokud jste vyrůstali na starých hororových filmech a rádi se procházíte naprostou tmou, je pro vás album "Carnal Lust of Blasphemy" doslova povinností. Jakoby všechny příšery, sérioví vrazi, nemrtví i psychicky narušení vylezli z obrazovek, ze starých VHS kazet a šli vám po krku. Pokaždé, když mě štve současný podivný svět, tak za sebou zabouchnu dveře a vydám se do nekonečných, bolestivých močálů nicoty. Kolem leží zohavená těla hříšníků a já mám najednou pocit, že sem patřím, že tady mi je nejlépe. Potom prořízne těžký vzduch první melodie a bývám ztracen. Tahle smečka řeže do živého, dělá to opravdu přesvědčivě a s elegancí starých mistrů v oboru. Tichý šramot, děsivý smích. Rakve, vytahané ven. Prašivé a plné krvavých vzpomínek. Once again, I know I’m in the right place. I’ve personally already dealt with the EP “Ungodly Carnage,” which I reviewed (you’ll find the link below today’s article). This year’s offering is a continuation of things past. The graveyard is once again filled with nightmares that have become a cruel reality, allowing you to enjoy music that comes from the deepest depths of the underworld.
As for the music itself, it’s loosely inspired by classic Finnish death metal, grindcore, and even brutal black metal. Of course, the guys add plenty of their own creativity, ideas, and rotten ingredients to the songs. The result is a highly toxic, foul-smelling cocktail, mixed in the midst of nothingness. The riffs will get under your skin, the drums will blow your brains out, and the vocals sound like a beast that’s just been awakened. I have no complaints about the sound or the cover art either. Everything falls into place; the new album is a pleasure to listen to, and I happily return to it. Moreover, it has everything I need for my private rituals of the afterlife it’s genuine, pure, believable, and utterly authentic. If you grew up on old horror movies and enjoy wandering through pitch-black darkness, the album “Carnal Lust of Blasphemy” is literally a must-have for you. It’s as if all the monsters, serial killers, the undead, and the mentally disturbed have crawled out of the screens and old VHS tapes and are coming for your throat. Whenever this strange world of ours gets on my nerves, I slam the door behind me and set off into the endless, agonizing swamps of nothingness. The mutilated bodies of sinners lie all around, and I suddenly feel like I belong here, like this is where I’m most at home. Then the first melody cuts through the heavy air, and I’m lost. This band cuts to the bone; they do it with real conviction and the elegance of the old masters of the genre. A quiet rustling, a terrifying laugh. Coffins, dragged out into the open. In the end, I always come to the conclusion that darkness lies within each of us. Soggy, raw, infinitely dark, and cold death metal with a horror movie style bloody atmosphere! Decay, filth, and death!
