Fascinován nekonečnou tmou jsem vstal velmi brzy. Noční můry se ještě potkávaly s krvavým jitrem a moje kroky mě zavedly na místo nekonečného spočinutí. Čím jsem starší, tím častěji se vracím na svátek všech mrtvých na hřbitov, na kterém leží mí předci. Poslouchám nové album mých oblíbených RAVENOIR, které se se svojí magicky záhadnou atmosférou krásně hodí k mlhavým náladám mezi náhrobky. Čtu si jména, která jsem kdysi znal. Přemýšlím o životě, o tom, kam směřuji a kdy dojdu svého cíle. Stane se tak vůbec někdy? Nebo se jen rozplynu v nicotě?
RAVENOIR jsou letos ještě víc zádumčiví, přemýšliví, éteričtější. Black metal i smrtící kov lze zaslechnout spíše jen vzdáleně. Je sice stále otištěn do jednotlivých skladeb, ale o hodně větší prostor dostaly ambientní, psychedelické nálady i melancholie. Jedná se o hudbu, která vám pomůže nahlédnout i do vašeho nitra. Pokud jí dáte šanci a necháte se jí unášet na zpěněných vlnách smutku, tmy a záhadnosti. Určitě to není záležitost pro každého, jedná se spíše o obřad pro přemýšlivé jedince s bohatou fantazií.
Každé album, které do mě zasekne svůj dráp, každá nahrávka, o které se rozhodnu napsat, je pro mě i osobním příběhem. Vždy se jedná o vzájemný vztah mezi mnou a muzikanty, o předané emoce, o sílu, tlak a energii. Alesh A.D, jako hlavní protagonista, má svůj jasný a zřetelný rukopis. Připomíná mi malíře, který nanáší pomocí riffů a melodií pestrou paletu zbarvenou do šedo černých odstínů. Letos s ještě naléhavějším vokálem. S perfektně ošetřeným zvukem, s obalem, na kterém je smrtihlav. Je jako znamení, které můžeme každý během svého života potkat. "Deadreams" je pro mě spíše výletem do země nekonečných stínů, než jen obyčejnou deskou. Zadřela se mi postupně pod kůži. Poslouchal jsem ji rád a často se k ní vracel. Zajímavé je, že jsem trošku otálel se sepsáním recenze. Byl jsem totiž natolik pohlcen, že jsem nějak nenacházel slova. Kolem nás utíká svět a někdy je velmi těžké se ve všem tom podivném chaosu vyznat. Možná právě proto se potřebujeme zastavit, srovnat si myšlenky v hlavě, naslouchat základním instinktům, abychom potom zjistili, jak jsou pro nás důležité obyčejné věci. Prosévám mezi prsty prach, osamocen v davu. Skláním se nad náhrobkem a přemýšlím, jestli se jednou rozplynu ve věčnosti. Nové album je vynikajícím soundtrackem k pomalu usínající přírodě, k samotě, k pochmurným myšlenkám, které pokaždé jednou za čas vyplavou na povrch. Ležely dlouho uloženy v našem podvědomí. RAVENOIR byli vždy originální, přesvědčiví, zajímaví, jiní. Je tomu tak i letos. Fascinován nekonečnou tmou vstanu i zítra velmi brzy. Noční můry se ještě budou potkávat s krvavým jitrem a moje kroky mě zavedou na místo nekonečného spočinutí. Melancholie mlhavého chladného rána, ambientní a psychedelický zážitek, který se do vás otiskne s drásavou přesvědčivostí!

Fascinated by the endless darkness, I got up very early. Nightmares still mingled with the bloody dawn, and my steps led me to a place of eternal rest. The older I get, the more often I return to the cemetery where my ancestors lie on All Souls' Day. I listen to the new album by my favorite band, RAVENOIR, whose magically mysterious atmosphere fits beautifully with the foggy mood among the gravestones. I read the names I once knew. I think about life, where I am headed, and when I will reach my goal. Will that ever happen? Or will I just dissolve into nothingness?
RAVENOIR are even more melancholic, thoughtful, and ethereal this year. Black metal and death metal can only be heard in the distance. It is still imprinted in individual songs, but ambient, psychedelic moods and melancholy have been given much more space. This is music that will help you look inside yourself. If you give it a chance and let yourself be carried away on the foamy waves of sadness, darkness, and mystery. It's definitely not for everyone; it's more of a ritual for thoughtful individuals with rich imaginations.
Every album that gets under my skin, every recording I decide to write about, is a personal story for me. It's always about the relationship between me and the musicians, about the emotions conveyed, about the power, pressure, and energy. Alesh A.D, as the main protagonist, has his own clear and distinct style. He reminds me of a painter who uses riffs and melodies to apply a colorful palette tinged with shades of gray and black. This year with even more urgent vocals. With perfectly crafted sound, with a cover featuring a death's head. It's like a sign that we can all encounter during our lives. For me, "Deadreams" is more of a trip to the land of endless shadows than just an ordinary album. It gradually got under my skin. I enjoyed listening to it and often returned to it. Interestingly, I hesitated a little before writing this review. I was so absorbed that I couldn't find the words. The world is rushing by us, and sometimes it's very difficult to make sense of all this strange chaos. Maybe that's why we need to stop, gather our thoughts, listen to our basic instincts, and then realize how important ordinary things are to us. I sift dust through my fingers, alone in the crowd. I lean over the gravestone and wonder if I will one day dissolve into eternity. The new album is an excellent soundtrack to slowly falling asleep in nature, to solitude, to gloomy thoughts that surface from time to time. They lay stored in our subconscious for a long time. RAVENOIR have always been original, convincing, interesting, different. This year is no exception. Fascinated by the endless darkness, I will get up very early tomorrow. Nightmares will still meet bloody dawn, and my steps will lead me to a place of eternal rest. The older I get, the more often I return to the cemetery where my ancestors lie on All Souls' Day. Can you hear the whispers of the undead? I can. The melancholy of a foggy, cold morning, an ambient and psychedelic experience that will leave a lasting impression on you with its harrowing persuasiveness!
