Recenze/review - NEOLITH - Inbir (2026)

NEOLITH - Inbir

Pokud máte rádi klasický evropský death metal, americkou brutalitu a to vše ušpiněné chladným black metalem, potom jste zde správně. Všechny tyto styly polští válečníci spojují v v jeden velmi jedovatý a divoký celek.

Přesně takhle vnímám i letošní nahrávku NEOLITH. Válka, bolest a utrpení!

Asphyx says:

The ghosts that appeared this time had been sleeping several meters underground for many years. They came to seek revenge for past injustices, for wars, for torture, for the pain that has not faded even after a thousand years. People never learn; they keep making the same mistakes. The corpses of soldiers from various senseless battles which continue to this day could tell the tale. A sandstorm lashes your face, and it won’t be long before you, too, become undead. The Polish maniacs NEOLITH are back after seven long years stronger than ever.

If you love classic European death metal, American brutality, and all of that laced with cold black metal, then you’ve come to the right place. These Polish warriors blend all these styles into one highly toxic and ferocious whole. This new release is exactly the kind of album you’ll listen to a few times, and it will immediately get under your skin. It will become a part of you and transport you to the deepest underground to the catacombs where ghosts have slumbered for many years.

The new release “Inbir” which is supposedly the Sumerian equivalent of the word “war” is a raw echo from ancient times. The lyrics, the music, the cover art everything is very well crafted. You’re immediately hit in the face by a very massive, literally killer sound. Symbols of death are carved into stone; if you utter them, you’ll burn in the flames of hell. That’s exactly how I perceive this year’s NEOLITH album. It’s packed to the brim with interesting, original motifs and melodies. One sharp riff follows another, the drums thunder like an alarm, and the vocals evoke an ancient beast from the deepest caves. The album is very well written; all the emotions are delivered with the sensitivity and elegance of the old masters. This is music that has been honed to perfection. At least that’s how I perceive it an old dog who has been guarding the entrance to the underworld for several decades now. As always, what I appreciate most is sincerity, purity, believability, utter devotion to the shadows, but above all, authenticity. When I listen to this new release, I truly find myself somewhere between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. I travel back along the timeline; I am the whisperer, standing in the shadows. The fourth track on the album, “Modlitwa Na Marny Czas,” stands out; it is sung in Polish. Personally, I consider it the best. This is, of course, partly because Czech and Polish are closely related languages. But it’s also because it cuts right to the heart of the matter. I wander among the ruins of ancient temples and visit thousand year old burial grounds. Pain and suffering, wars and helplessness all of this is etched here into the stones, but also into the new tablets of these Polish warriors. When we look back at history, it’s downright chilling how little has changed among people. I consider this year’s work to be outstanding in every respect. The ghosts that have appeared this time lay dormant for many years, several meters underground. They have come to seek revenge for past injustices, for wars, for torture, for the pain that has not faded even after a thousand years. A brutal, raw death metal album that will envelop you in bloody mysticism! War, pain, and suffering!
