Pradávný kult smrt byl znovu obnoven. Zástupy nemrtvých, čekajících na přechod na druhou stranu se toulá mezi naším a oním světem. Touží po čerstvé krvi, po bolesti a utrpení. Sestupuji dolů po prašivých schodech. Po stěnách stéká hnis a z nekonečných chodeb podsvětí se ozývá nářek prokletých. Oltář je připraven. Chybí jen hudba, která by doplnila morbidně krvavou atmosféru. Velekněz se sklání nad první obětí. Drží v rukou nůž, ukovaný z té nejlepší oceli. Stejně jako nové album chilských maniaků SEPULCRUM.

Čtenáři našich stránek se s touhle smečkou divokých tmářů mohli již setkat. Kapela mě uhranula předchozím albem "Lamentation of Immolated Souls" natolik, že jsem s nimi udělal i rozhovor. Obojí si můžete přečíst, když sjedete dolů pod dnešní článek. Jsou tam odkazy na recenzi i rozhovor. Letos pánové pokračují v tom, co umí nejlépe. V nespoutaném, starosvětském death metalu. Novinka hoří zevnitř a na povrchu je chladná jako ruka mrtvoly.

Líbí se mi rukopis kapely, jejich celkový výraz, absolutní nasazení a naprostá oddanost stínům. Skladby jsou opět velmi dobře napsány a nesou v sobě odkaz na kapely typu MORBID ANGEL, MORTA SKULD, DEICIDE, PESTILENCE, DEATH. Pokud jsi tedy starý fanoušek pohřbů do země nebo máš rád tento prašivý styl, potom jsi zde správně. SEPULCRUM samozřejmě přidávají do své hudby spoustu svých nápadů a invence. Novinka "Lacerator" se navíc opravdu velmi dobře poslouchá. Rád trávím čas v její přítomnosti a pokaždé, když zapnu play na svém přehrávači, tak nejednou nesedím ve svém pokoji, ale sleduji porcování ještě živých těl během starodávného rituálu pro vyvolávání temných sil. Lacerator je totiž slovem, které má několik významů. V překladu je to trhač nebo rváč, ale také slasher hororová hra nebo vrhací sekera z Diablo II. Ve všech případech přesně definuje a vystihuje to, co se na albu odehrává. Poctivá, od srdce zahraná muzika, reálná, syrová, uvěřitelná a naprosto autentická. My, staří psi a fanoušci nekonečných stínů, moc dobře víme, že smrt má mnoho podob. Tu kterou nám přinášejí Chilané, je velmi krutá, surová a zanechává po sobě hlubokou krvavou stopu. Kývám se spokojeně do rytmu, podupávám si nohou, mlátím pěstí do zdi. Ano, je to zase tam. Pánové jsou ve skvělé formě a opět potvrzují, že je s nimi nutné v podzemí počítat. Za mě osobně vám pak mohu novinku jen doporučit. Je skvělá po všech stránkách (zvuk, produkce, motiv na obalu) a navíc má nezaměnitelnou, pochmurnou atmosféru. Přesně takhle to mám nejraději. Morbidní rituál krvavé smrti! Syrový death metal, který vás pohřbí zaživa! Dekapitace těla, dekapitace mysli!

Readers of our site may have already encountered this pack of wild dark-worshippers. The band captivated me so much with their previous album, “Lamentation of Immolated Souls”, that I even interviewed them. You can read both by scrolling down below today’s article. There are links to the review and the interview there. This year, the guys are continuing to do what they do best: unbridled, old-school death metal. The new album burns from within, yet on the surface it’s as cold as a corpse’s hand.

I like the band’s style, their overall sound, their absolute commitment, and their total devotion to the shadows. The songs are once again very well written and carry echoes of bands like MORBID ANGEL, MORTA SKULD, DEICIDE, PESTILENCE, and DEATH. So if you’re a longtime fan of earth-burial metal or you just love this gritty style, then you’ve come to the right place. SEPULCRUM, of course, brings plenty of their own ideas and creativity to their music. What’s more, the new album “Lacerator” is a real pleasure to listen to. I enjoy spending time with it, and every time I hit play on my player, I often find myself not just sitting in my room, but watching the dismemberment of still-living bodies during an ancient ritual to summon dark forces. “Lacerator” is, in fact, a word with several meanings. It translates to “tearer” or “brawler,” but it also refers to a slasher horror game or a throwing axe from Diablo II. In all cases, it precisely defines and captures what’s happening on the album: honest, heartfelt music real, raw, believable, and utterly authentic. We, the old-timers and fans of Endless Shadows, know all too well that death takes many forms. The one the Chileans bring us is very cruel, brutal, and leaves a deep, bloody trail in its wake. I’m nodding contentedly to the beat, tapping my foot, pounding my fist against the wall. Yes, it’s back again. The guys are in great form and once again prove that they’re a force to be reckoned with in the underground scene. Personally, I can only recommend this new release. It’s great in every way (sound, production, cover art) and, on top of that, it has an unmistakable, gloomy atmosphere. That’s exactly how I like it best. A morbid ritual of bloody death! Raw death metal that will bury you alive! Decapitation of the body, decapitation of the mind!
