Další prasklá rakev, další mrtvé tělo, co vstalo z hrobu. Nad hřbitovem se vznáší krvavá mlha a z márnice se ozývá šramot. Strávil jsem v těchto pochmurných místech několik nocí a moc dobře vím, jak rozmlouvají nemrtví. Několikrát jsem s nimi překročil řeku Styx a pokaždé, když jsem se vrátil, tak jsem měl velkou chuť na nové EP amerických tmářů DESEKRYPTOR. Jedná se totiž přesně o takový ten syrový, plesnivý death metal ze staré školy, který se hraje v záhrobí.
Psal jsem již o jejich předchozí nahrávce "Vortex Oblivion" z roku 2023 a líbila se mi tenkrát uvěřitelná, morbidní a mrtvolná atmosféra. Letošní novinka je volným pokračováním věcí minulých. Jedná se o čtyři smrtonosné skladby, připomínající rezavé hřeby, které jednou zatlučou i do vašich rakví. Červi se kroutí v divokých rytmech a čekají na další porci zkaženého masa. Samozřejmě je dostanou. Je podáváno s elegancí a zkušenostmi starých mistrů. Stejně jako tohle EP.
A tak se zase jednou kývám spokojeně do rytmu, když stojím nad čerstvým hrobem a poslouchám stále dokola "Sarcophagal Corridors". Američanům se povedlo přesně vystihnout ducha starých časů. Hodně k tomu přispívá syrový a prašivý zvuk i černobílý motiv na obalu, který ve mě evokuje vzpomínky na staré demonahrávky z devadesátých let minulého století. Skladby jsou tu zahrány s opravdovou vášní pro pohřby do země. Pokud se rádi pohybujete ve společnosti třeba takových INCANTATION, DISMA, FUNEBRARUM, AUTOPSY, SEDIMENTUM, PHRENELITH, UNDERGANG, potom si určitě nenechte tuhle nahrávku ujít. Je totiž po okraj narvaná zkaženou krví, hnisem, rouháním, anti-humanismem i nenávistí ke slepé víře. Troufám si tvrdit, že nové EP muselo být nahráváno několik metrů pod zemí, v dávno opuštěných katakombách. Hlídají tu krvelačné bestie, které vás před vstupem do pekla roztrhají na kusy. Stejně jako tahle hudba, jako tyhle songy, plné hnisu a špíny. Těším se na večer, až se setmí a já zase vezmu do rukou lopatu. Nejdříve vždycky jen tak sedím a nasávám atmosféru. Naslouchám zvukům hřbitova i téhle desky, abych se potom dal s chutí do své těžké, morbidní práce. Jsem již starý hrobník, který tuhle muziku poslouchá od jejich úplných počátků. A jako takový vám mohu novinku jenom doporučit. Další prasklá rakev, další mrtvé tělo, co vstalo z hrobu. Nad hřbitovem se vznáší krvavá mlha a z márnice se ozývá šramot. Špinavý, zahnívající, plesnivý starý death metal, který je plný blasfemie, zkažené krve i ozvěn ze záhrobí! Masakr v márnici!

Another cracked coffin, another dead body risen from the grave. A bloody mist hovers over the cemetery, and a rustling sounds from the morgue. I've spent a few nights in these gloomy places and I know all too well how the undead talk. I've crossed the River Styx with them a few times, and each time I've come back I've had a big craving for the new EP from American darkness-mongers DESEKRYPTOR. This is exactly the kind of raw, moldy old school death metal that is played in the afterlife.
I've already written about their previous release "Vortex Oblivion" from 2023 and I liked the believable, morbid and deadpan atmosphere back then. This year's release is a loose continuation of things past. These are four deadly tracks, reminiscent of rusty nails that will one day hammer into your coffins. The worms wriggle in wild rhythms, waiting for their next portion of rotten meat. Of course they'll get it. It's served with the elegance and experience of the old masters. Just like this EP.
And so once again I sway contentedly to the rhythm as I stand over a fresh grave and listen to "Sarcophagal Corridors" over and over again. The Americans have managed to capture the spirit of the old days. The raw and dusty sound contributes a lot to this, as well as the black and white motif on the cover, which evokes memories of old demos from the 1990s. The songs here are played with a real passion for burying themselves in the ground. If you like to be in the company of the likes of INCANTATION, DISMA, FUNEBRARUM, AUTOPSY, SEDIMENTUM, PHRENELITH, UNDERGANG, then don't miss this record. It is packed to the brim with corrupted blood, pus, blasphemy, anti-humanism and hatred of blind faith. I dare say the new EP must have been recorded several meters underground, in long abandoned catacombs. Guarded by bloodthirsty beasts that will tear you to pieces before you enter hell. Like this music, like these songs, full of pus and filth. I'm looking forward to tonight, when it gets dark and I pick up the shovel again. At first I always just sit back and soak up the atmosphere. I listen to the sounds of the cemetery and this record, and then I get down to my hard, morbid work. I'm an old undertaker who has been listening to this music since the very beginning. Filthy, rotting, moldy old death metal that is full of blasphemy, corrupted blood and echoes from the beyond! Massacre in the morgue!
