Hluboko pod zemí, ve staré jeskyni v lesích, jsem nalezl amulety vyřezané z lidských kostí. Na stěnách zářily krvavé otisky a spousta podivných symbolů. Zapálil jsem oheň a před očima se mi začaly odehrávat pradávné rituály. Oběť je připravena a démoni se usmívají. Všichni posloucháme novou desku death doomových VADIAT. Jedná se o syrový, surový a drsný obřad, který mě ihned zaujal. Zvukem, motivem na obalu, ale hlavně hudbou, která v sobě má velkou spoustu chladu, temnoty a šílenství.
Kapela vydala v roce 2019 EP s názvem "Darkness Proceeds", které je také velmi dobré. Jedná se o staré zkušené maniaky, kteří moc dobře vědí, jak nás zničit hudbou. Jména jako Brian Sekula (kytara/zpěv), Joe Twardzik (bicí), Matt Sorg (kytary) a Ed Stephens (baskytara), mluví myslím za vše. Novinka je potom volným pokračováním první nahrávky a zároveň velmi návykovou záležitostí. Obsahuje v sobě nahrubo nasekanou tmu, spoustu špíny, ale i vznešenosti. VADIAT vás pohřbí zaživa.
Kapela se inspirovala ve starých spisech. A dělá to velmi inteligentně a elegantně. Líbí se mi, že má svůj styl a výraz. Pánové dokáží vytvořit magickou, záhadnou atmosféru. Jakoby kolem mě létaly děsivé stíny. Chvílemi při poslechu nevím, jestli bdím a nebo spím. Toulám se mezi přízraky, neustále přidávám hlasitost, otevírám okno a sleduji, jak mraky padají na město. "Spear of Creation" jsem si dával do hlavy v noci, ve dne, na ulici i v lesích a pokaždé se kolem ochladilo o několik stupňů. Neustále jsem se otáčel a měl pocit, že mě někdo sleduje. Možná jsem v jeskyni za naším městem probudil temné síly. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem kapela dokáže navodit pochmurné nálady. Ztrácím se mezi nočními můrami a moje vnitřnosti jsou zasaženy snětí. Bolestivé myšlenky se pokaždé rozlétnou a fantazie nelze udržet v klidu. Mám rád hudbu, které mě rozdrásá do krve, líbí se mi, když jsou skladby narvané emocemi. VADIAT si se mnou hrají jako šelma se svojí kořistí. Dokáží být suroví a krutí, ale i studení jako ruka mrtvoly. Album bych doporučil všem, kteří rádi navštěvují staré hřbitovy, opuštěné chrámy i hluboké jeskyně se spoustou kostí a líbí se jim kapely jako AMORPHIS a INCANTATION. The band released an EP in 2019 called "Darkness Proceeds" which is also very good. These are old experienced maniacs who know very well how to destroy us with music. Names like Brian Sekula (guitar/vocals), Joe Twardzik (drums), Matt Sorg (guitars) and Ed Stephens (bass) speak for themselves I think. The new album is then a loose continuation of the first record and a very addictive affair at the same time. It contains coarsely chopped darkness, plenty of grime, but also a lot of majesty. VADIAT will bury you alive.
The band took inspiration from ancient scriptures. And he does it very intelligently and elegantly. I like that it has its own style and expression. The gentlemen can create a magical, mysterious atmosphere. It's like there are eerie shadows flying around me. At times when I'm listening, I don't know if I'm awake or asleep. I wander among the ghosts, constantly turning up the volume, opening the window and watching the clouds fall on the city. I've put "Spear of Creation" in my head at night, during the day, on the street and in the woods, and each time it has cooled a few degrees around me. I kept turning around and feeling like I was being watched. Maybe I had awakened dark forces in the cave behind our town. I like the way the band can evoke a gloomy atmosphere. I'm lost among the nightmares and my insides are stricken with dreams. Painful thoughts fly away every time and the fantasies can't be kept at rest. I like music that rips my blood, I like it when songs are stuffed with emotion. VADIAT play with me like a beast with its prey. They can be brutal and cruel, but also as cold as the hand of a corpse. I would recommend the album to anyone who likes to visit old cemeteries, abandoned temples and deep caves with lots of bones and likes bands like AMORPHIS and INCANTATION. I lit a fire and ancient rituals started to happen in front of my eyes. The sacrifice is ready and the demons are smiling. I'm right here. A chilling, dark doom death metal funeral mass! A rotting death ritual!
