Hnis a špína. Jsme tu už spoustu dní a snažíme se poskládat roztrhaná těla. Spíme v márnici a v noci nás děsí podivné výkřiky. Další exhumace, další ohledání. Rakve jsou prašivé a mnozí prokletí jsou zohaveni tak, že se nám zvedá žaludek. Jenže o tomhle death metal vždycky býval. Alespoň ten poctivý a opravdový. Do rukou se mi dostalo nové debutové album kapely BLOOD OATH z Chile. Několikrát jsem si je poslechl a ihned se ocitl na starém pohřebišti. Přesně takhle to mám rád.
Kývám se rytmu, jsem starý zkušený hrobník, který zvedne hlavu už jenom v momentě, když slyší nějakou dobrou hudbu. Musí rozhýbat moje kosti, musí mi vystřelit mozek z hlavy, musí mě pohřbít zaživa. BLOOD OATH se tohle všechno povedlo. Tohle je death metal, který vás roztrhá na kusy!
Základem hudby téhle šílené smečky je klasický, tradiční death metal. Přidávány jsou potom technické prvky. Je to velmi intenzivní hudba, šílená a zběsilá. Divoká jako šelmy ze starých časů, které se ještě nebály kousat. Pokud budete poslouchat pozorně, časem rozkryjete jednotlivé vrstvy. Pochválit musím stylový obal (autorem je Nox Fragor) i zvuk, který doslova zabíjí (Victor LR - mixing, mastering). Je to hodně barbarská záležitost, skladby jsou ale zároveň velmi propracované a zajímavé. Nudit se nebudete ani chvilku. V dnešní době, kdy většina mladých smeček jenom kopíruje, jsou BLOOD OATH příjemným osvěžením. Jestli má být tohle debut, tak potom říkám super a těším se na další hudbu od těchto šílenců. Stylově lze kapelu přirovnat třeba k takovým THE CHASM, STARGAZER, CENOTAPH nebo SADUS. Moje přirovnání ale berte jenom jako lehký návod, kapela má svůj vlastní výraz a ksicht. "Lost in an Eternal Silence" je albem, které má pro mě zvláštní, podmanivou a nebál bych se napsat i magickou atmosféru. Pro mě je potom důležitá ještě jedna věc. Deska má v sobě takové to poctivé chvění, temnou jiskru, drive a sílu. Jako bych byl opravdu na starém hřbitově, v hororovém filmu z osmdesátých let a exhumoval dávno opuštěné hroby. Dovolte mi, abych kapele vysekl poklonu. Už dlouho jsem se nesetkal s debutem, který by byl takhle dobrý. Myslím si, že další slova jsou zbytečná. Nechme mluvit hudbu. Hnis a špína. Další exhumace, další ohledání. Technický, prašivý smrtící kov, u kterého nadskakují víka od rakví!

The coffins are dusty and many of the damned are mutilated in ways that make us sick to our stomachs. But that's what death metal has always been about. At least the honest and real kind. I got my hands on the new debut album of BLOOD OATH from Chile. I listened to it a few times and immediately found myself in an old graveyard. That's how I like it.
I sway to the rhythm, I'm an old experienced grave digger who only lifts his head when he hears some good music. He has to move my bones, he has to blow my brains out, he has to bury me alive. BLOOD OATH did all that. This is death metal that will tear you apart!
The basis of this crazy pack's music is classic, traditional death metal. Then technical elements are added. It's very intense music, crazy and frantic. Wild like the beasts of old that weren't afraid to bite. If you listen carefully, you will eventually unravel the layers. I must praise the stylish cover (by Nox Fragor) and the sound, which literally kills (Victor LR - mixing, mastering). It's a very barbaric affair, but the tracks are very sophisticated and interesting at the same time. You won't be bored for a moment. Nowadays, when most of the young packs are just copying, BLOOD OATH are a nice refreshment. If this is supposed to be a debut, then I say great and look forward to more music from these madmen. Stylistically, the band can be compared to such bands as THE CHASM, STARGAZER, CENOTAPH or SADUS. But take my comparison only as a light guide, the band has its own expression and face. "Lost in an Eternal Silence" is an album that for me has a special, captivating and I wouldn't be afraid to write magical atmosphere. For me, then, one more thing is important. The album has that honest shiver, dark spark, drive and power. It's like I'm really in an old cemetery, in an 80's horror movie, exhuming long abandoned graves. Let me give the band a shout-out. It's been a long time since I've come across a debut that was this good. I think further words are unnecessary. Let the music do the talking. Dirt and filth. Another exhumation, another search. Technical, dusty death metal that makes coffin lids pop!
