Chodím ke břehu již dlouhé roky. Fascinuje mě mrtvolný klid, mlha nad vlnami, pochmurná atmosféra i chlad, který mi pokaždé pronikne hluboko do kostí. Jsem poslední dobou rád sám. Žiji už jenom ve stínu a pomalu se ztrácím. Poslouchám již pouze hudbu, která se mi líbí a občas slyším divné hlasy. Když poslouchám desky jako je ta od norských mágů AETERNUS, tak rozmlouvám s nemrtvými. Ptají se mě na cestu a já je vždy zavedu k řece. K řece mrtvých. Zaplatí stejně jako já svojí duší a pak už jenom poslouchají a vznáší se na krvavých vlnách.
Na novou desku jsme čekali dlouhých pět let a čekání se vyplatilo. Pánové zúročili svoje dlouholeté zkušenosti a nahráli album, které je dokonalou esencí toho, co na nich máme rádi. Black metal se zde potkává se smrtí a vše působí značně mlhavě, melancholicky, záhadně. Je to obřad, je to magie, je to cesta bez konce. Poslouchejte v chladu a absolutní tmě!
Společné seance s albem "Philosopher" připomínají setkání s přízraky. Vystoupí z mlhy a tančí do rytmu. Ve skladbách je něco živočišného, zvláštního, co mě neustále přitahuje. Jsem hrozně rád ve společnosti téhle nahrávky. Přesto se neustále ohlížím za sebe, lekám se každého stínu a mám zrychlený tep. Pánové sice letos nepřinášejí nic nového, ale abych pravdu řekl, tak bych to po nich ani nechtěl. Jsem s novou deskou velmi spokojený. Je v ní vše potřebné pro to, abych se každý večer vydal až k řece smrti. Vše je zahalené ve tmě, melodie se mi zařezávají do mozku, krvácím, ploužím se mezi stíny. Co se týká zvuku, obalu, produkce, tak vše je v absolutním pořádku. Kapela má svůj vlastní, originální rukopis, který by bylo škoda opustit. Za okny začala zima. Listí opadalo ze stromů a stejně musím jít. Podávám ruku zbloudilým duším. Usmívají se a užívají si "Philosopher" se mnou. Novinka spojuje všechny dohromady. Mrtvé i živé. Když ji poslouchám, tak nevydržím dlouho na jednom místě. Neklid, který je obsažen ve všech skladbách, se přenáší i na mě. Nabíjí mě černou energií. Už dávno nerozlišuji mezi naším a oním světem. Rád se toulám po obou stranách. Tahle hudba mi to umožňuje. Napadl čerstvý sníh a nemrtví čekají. Chodím ke břehu již dlouhé roky. I've been going to the shore for years. I am fascinated by the dead calm, the mist over the waves, the gloomy atmosphere and the coldness that always penetrates deep into my bones. I'm happy to be alone these days. I live only in the shadows and I'm slowly losing myself. I only listen to music I like anymore and sometimes I hear strange voices. When I listen to records like the one by Norwegian magicians AETERNUS, I talk to the undead. They ask me for directions and I always lead them to the river. The river of the dead. They pay with their souls as I do, and then they just listen and float on the bloody waves.
We've waited five long years for a new record, and the wait has been worth it. The gentlemen have capitalized on their years of experience and recorded an album that is the perfect essence of what we love about them. Black metal meets death here and everything has a very hazy, melancholic, mysterious feel. It's a ritual, it's magic, it's a journey without end. Listen in the cold and absolute dark!
The joint sessions with the album "Philosopher" are reminiscent of encounters with ghosts. They come out of the fog and dance to the rhythm. There's something animalistic, strange in the songs that I'm constantly drawn to. I'm very happy to be in the company of this record. Yet I'm constantly looking behind me, frightened by every shadow and my pulse racing. The gentlemen may not bring anything new this year, but to be honest, I wouldn't ask them to. I'm very happy with the new album. It's got everything I need to get me to the river of death every night. Everything is shrouded in darkness, the melodies are cutting into my brain, I'm bleeding, I'm crawling through the shadows. As for the sound, the cover, the production, everything is absolutely fine. The band has its own, original handwriting, which would be a shame to abandon. It's getting cold outside the windows. The leaves have fallen from the trees and I still have to go. I'm lending a hand to the lost souls. They smile and enjoy "Philosopher" with me. The novelty brings everyone together. Dead and alive. When I listen to it, I can't stay in one place for long. The restlessness that's in all the songs is transferred to me. It gives me a black energy. I don't distinguish between our world and the other world anymore. I like to wander both sides. This music allows me to do that. Fresh snow has fallen and the undead are waiting. I've been coming to the shore for years. I'm fascinated by the dead calm, the fog over the waves, the gloomy atmosphere and the chill that penetrates deep into my bones every time. I'm happy to be alone these days. Just me and the music, just me and the silence of seemingly deserted forests. The eyes of beasts and their victims watching me. The new album really has an almost magical effect on me. Like a mysterious mantra, like an ancient ritual. A chilling black death metal fog that takes you to the river of the dead! You will meet your own demons!
