Ave, can you introduce your bad to our readers? - When was it founded and what style do you play, etc?

Whore of Bethlehem is from Austin TX in the US and was formed in 2009 as a side project of Ryan Sylvie and our original drummer Rene Martinez. We play what we feel has best been described by a fan as brutal blackened death metal. We have a lot of different influences ranging from Morbid Angel to Arch Goat, Amon Amarth to Suffocation, and many others. We grew up playing along with those styles and in Whore of Bethlehem we've combined them in our way to make something that hopefully stands out among the large number of awesome metal bands.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

Extinguish the Light was recorded at AMP studios in our hometown of Austin, TX. The process took about a month to record and an additional few weeks to master and tweak into its current form and we're really pleased with how it came out! Our friend Michael Day handled all of the sound production from start to finish on this album at AMP studios ni Austin, TX. We recorded with him for Upon Judas' Throne our debut release, and he approached us about wanting to record our new album when we were ready and we're very glad he did. He did an amazing job working on it and getting the sound we were looking for. He handled the mastering and all the rest of production, and in general is an awesome guy to work with.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for the new edition? (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

The new album is available on CD through our website and digitally through whoreofbethlehem.bandcamp.com. Copy wise we did something special as a part of pre-order for a green version of the album cover which went over really well. It was limited to 100 copies. We still have a handful of these left but we are only selling them at our live shows.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?

James writes all the lyrics for Whore of Bethlehem, and they typically deal with blasphemy, butchery, the necromantic arts and similar. I think his process is really to write something brutal and blasphemous that resonates with the songs, and he does a hell of a job.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?

The logo was made by Christophe Szpajdel of Lord of Logos fame. He was very friendly and did an awesome job giving us a logo that really works for the sound we're trying to convey. As for the website Phil handles most of the website stuff through a hosting website. 

Social media is very important to us, it's a major cornerstone of keeping in touch with fans across the globe and are fairly diligent about keeping up with messages sent to the band. It has its issues, namely the censorship of our name having Whore in it. This prevents us from doing sponsored ads and the like to target audiences because it violates their terms. Overall though it's definitely a major asset and has helped us with our success for sure.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takes care of you?

We went with Black Market Metal Label, and we're very happy with the arrangement we agreed upon. They're handling a lot of the PR for us which has been really awesome and helped us get out there more.

Which bands do you idolize and where do you get your inspiration?

Collectively we have a very large pool of idolized bands, and we're fortunate enough to say that we've had the privilege of sharing the stage with a large number of them. The list, in no particular order and off the top of my head is Suffocation, Arch Goat, Immortal, Morbid Angel, Disgorge, Inquisition, Nile, Exhumed, Amon Amarth, Behemoth, and Cannibal Corpse to name a few.

Did you send the record to some labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

We did not send the entire album, but we did earlier on send a previously recorded version of Invocation and Rebirth off of Extinguish the Light to a number of labels that we felt would be a good fit. All the usual suspects of course, but the market is very saturated nowadays and standing out among the crowd is difficult to do. Ultimately we did not hear back from any of them in a timely manner and were prepared to self release the second album because we were already moving forward with tour dates to support the album which we did in the first week of July of 2017. It all worked out nicely though, as Black Market Metal is the perfect fit for this release and we are thankful for their support.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances do you consider as the best?

I'm wildly guessing but we've likely played a good couple hundred shows or more collectively over the passed years since the bands inception. We prefer a very packed moderate sized bar with a couple hundred people. That's the perfect sweet spot of killer sound and fan participation that feels really intimate, and not surprisingly the way we like to see shows as well.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

Moving forward we're looking to do more tours and fests, and work on new material for sure. There will be more from us in the future!

DEATH YELL - Descent Into Hell

 Ve starých knihách je psáno, že démony lze potkat převážně za šerosvitu. Stačí odříkat několik tajemných formulí, zapálit louče s černým ohněm a obětovat temnotě. Je ale ještě jedna možnost, způsob, který je neméně bolestivý. Poslech chilských DEATH YELL.

 Legendární kapely, která velebí záhrobí již od osmdesátých let minulého století. Jedná se krutě ošklivou esenci pravého nefalšovaného black death metalu, který vás přenese do doby, kdy světu vládly smečky jako SARCÓFAGO, BEHERIT, ANAL VOMIT. DEATH YELL sází na upřímnost, na šílenství, na nepropustnou tmu. 



Na albu "Descent Into Hell" se mi asi nejvíc líbí pravověrnost, uvěřitelnost, až ortodoxní oddanost posledním věcem člověka. Na povrch vylézají pradávné satanské rituály, znovu na zdech hoří krvavé pentagramy, opět je obětováno silám, se kterými je neradno si zahrávat. Deska nás nasměřuje do starých opuštěných katakomb, rozmělní naše kosti na prach a rozloží mysl na nekonečnou řadu vyděšených částí. DEATH YELL hrají postaru, tak jak jim to kdysi našeptal samotný Satan. Ocení je asi spíše starší ročníky posluchačů a potom já, který se rád a často vydávám na nekonečné výlety na onen svět. Black death metalové album, které hoří jako pradávný pergamen! Velmi dobrá deska!

Black/deathoví maniaci DEATH YELL jsou řádnými členy chilské záhrobní scény. Jejich prvotina je hnilobná, zákeřná, šílená a připomíná zápach čerstvě otevřených hrobů. Pro někoho se bude jednat jen o obyčejný hluk, ale pro nás, kteří trávíme dlouhé hodiny v podzemí, bude novinka těchto šílenců velmi chutným pokrmem. Co na tom, že nám jsou servírovány jen samé ohlodané kosti, práchnivé tkáně a absolutní zlo. Jsme napájeni překapanou tmou, smíchanou s pavučinami a znesvěcenou vodou. Chilané moc dobře vědí, jak zhudebnit absolutní temnotu. Nejedná se sice o nic převratného, ale deska se velmi dobře poslouchá a doporučil bych ji všem, kteří rádi pořádají okultní seance. Zapalte svíce, obětujte Satanovi a přivítejte všechny nemrtvé. Pandořina skříňka je otevřena, peklo může začít! Špinavý a ošklivý death metal, který spasí všechny vaše černé duše!

The black/death maniacs DEATH YELL are the proper members of the Chilean other world. Their first album is saprobic, cruel and crazy and it reminds smell from freshly open graves. This may be just an ordinary sound for someone, however for us who spend hours in underground is this new album from those crazy people very nice meal. Who cares that they serve us just some nibble bones, rotten tissues and an absolute evil. We are charged with filtered darkness which is mixed with spider webs and polluted water. These Chilean guys knows exactly how to compose the darkness. This album is nothing epochal, however the album is very good to listen and I would suggest it for all of you who like to organize occult séances. Ave DESULTORY! Přiznám se rovnou, že vaše novinka „Through Aching Aeons“ mě totálně rozsekala. Je v ní absolutně vše, co má v death metalu být. Jaké jste zaznamenali reakce od fanoušků? Co recenze? Jste se svojí prací spokojeni?

Moc díky! Vypadá to, že naše album dostává hodně pozitivních ohlasů od fanoušků i kritiků. To nás samozřejmě těší, protože jsme na něm pracovali opravdu tvrdě. A vzhledem k tomu, že tohle album bude poslední od DESULTORY, je skvělé, že je tohle opravdu kvalitní album.


První, co člověka vyloženě uhodí do očí, tak je skvělý obal od Pierre-Alain D. Proč jste oslovili právě jeho a jak jste cover vybírali? Co má vlastně titulní obraz znázorňovat? Pořád se na něj dívám, nutí mě přemýšlet, ale stále nemůžu přijít na to, co nebo kdo to vlastně je? Nějaká příšera? Mně se ten obal neskutečně líbí, hrozně mě přitahuje.

Ano, našli jsme práci Pierra-Alaina a hned jsme věděli, že je to přesně to, co potřebujeme pro naše album. Je to prostě tmavý a dystopický pocit, když se člověk dívá na ten obraz a to se nám líbí.

Kdo je autorem textů pro „Through Aching Aeons“ a o čem pojednávají? Kde pro témata berete inspiraci?

Já (Klas) jsem napsal všechny texty na tomhle albu. Zabývají se vším možným, co se kolem nás točí, ale i tím, co se děje ve světě. Texty jsou většinou dost abstraktní a posluchači si musejí vysvětlit sami, co pro ně texty znamenají.


Novinka má opravdu hodně temný, ostrý zvuk. Kdo je pod ním podepsán a kde jste novinku nahrávali? Zajímal by mě i způsob tvorby nového materiálu. Jak vlastně skládají DESULTORY? Kdo má poslední slovo, kdo řekne, že „tak je to správně, takhle to necháme?“

Album bylo nahráno s Tore Stierna v jeho Necromorbus studiu ve Stockholmu. Hodně se do celého procesu zapojil a dost řešil zvuk, který je tentokrát víc organický and těžší.

Když píšeme nové písně, tak většinou začínáme tím, že Håkan přijde s nápady pro kytaru a přinese je do zkušebny. Tam se sejde celá kapele a pomáháme s celým procesem, Thomas dělá část pro bubny, já dělám vokály a Jojje basu. Je to vlastně dost demokratický proces a většinou se na konci shodneme.


Líbí se mi určitá temnota, která je z vaší tvorby cítit. Jako bych se procházel lesem v noci, někde u vás na severu ve Švédsku. Ovlivňuje vás hodně prostředí, ze kterého pocházíte? Promítá se nějak to, odkud procházíte, do vaší tvorby?

Ani ne, možná neuvědoměle, ale rozhodně nehledáme inspiraci tím, že chodíme po lese jako to dělají jiné kapely.


Přiznám se, že mám rád celou vaši diskografii. Začínal jsem poslouchat vaši kapelu ještě v době, kdy jste vydali svoji první demo kazetu „From Beyond“ v roce 1990. Ještě mám doma někde staré kazety, ale ty už jsou v hrozném stavu. Neuvažujete o znovu vydání demonahrávek?

Páni, to je skvělé a je určitě vždycky super slyšet takové věci od lidí, co nás poslouchají od samotného začátku. Znovu jsme upravili všechna naše dema a dali jsme je na Into Eternity a Bitterness v roce 2011 a vydalo to Pulverised records.


Jste už dnes pamětníci. Když porovnáš vaše začátky a současnost, změnila se doba hodně? Myslím tím teď přístup fanoušků, labelů, promotérů apod. Často slýchávám, že „už to není takové, jako to bývalo“. Co si o tom myslíš ty?

Já se v tomhle pohybuju už 28 let, takže je jasné, že se spousta věcí změnila. Undergroundová scéna byla samozřejmě skvělá mezi lety 88-93. Bylo tu všechno to nakupování kazet atd. Všichni v téhle scéně se do všeho ponořili, psali dopisy, vyměňovali kazety, dělali ziny atd. Dnes je samozřejmě všechno jednoduší, protože existuje internet, což předtím nebylo.

V současné době si většina lidí nová alba stahuje z internetu a používá jen jeho digitální podobu. Jak vidíš tuhle problematiku ty? Zajímal by mě tvůj pohled jako muzikanta

Je to samozřejmě jednodušší najít nějakou kapelu, ale také si myslím, že předtím bylo trošku složitější zjistit, co bylo dobré a co jsi chtěl poslouchat. Ale samozřejmě, klasický metal je obrovská věc a pořád se rozrůstá. Takže osobně si myslím, že online streamování hudby je fajn věc, ale rozhodně se dnes lidem nedostává ten samý pocit, jako kdysi. Dřív jsme čekali na vydání Piece of Mind, Justice for All, Reign in Blood, Altars of Madness nebo Leprosy. Pak jsme běželi do obchodu a koupili si vinyl, šli domů natěšení a poslouchali jsme to album snad 50x, četli si texty, atd.

Jsou nějaké desky, které tě v poslední době oslovily?

Nikdy předtím jsem neposlouchal Neurosis. Ted jsem začal a oni jsou heavy jako kráva!

Znáš, posloucháš nějaké kapely z České republiky?

Samozřejmě znám KRABATHOR, ale to je bohužel vše.

Ave DESULTORY! I have to admit that your new album “Through Aching Aeons” absolutely crushed me. It has everything what death metal should have. How are reactions from fans and critics? What about reviews? Are you satisfied with your work?

Thanx a lot, it seems that the album are getting great reviews almost everywhere both from fans and from critics, and that of course feels great as we worked really hard with the material on this album and since this will be the last album from Desultory it feels good to end it with an high standard album.

The first thing which caught my attention is the great cover b Pierre-Alain D. Why did you chose him and how did you chose the cover? What the cover is supposed to represent. I still look on it and it makes me thing but I cannot figure out what is on the cover. Some kind of a monster? I like the cover so much, it just draws my attention.

Yes, we found this artwork by Pierre-Alain and we felt instantly that it would fit the album perfectly, it is a somewhat dark and dystopic feeling to the picture, we really like it.

Who is the author of the lyrics for “Through Aching Aeons” and what are the lyrics about? Where do you find inspiration for your topics?

I (Klas) wrote all the lyrics for this album, it deals with all stuff that goes on around us both personally and in the world around, the lyrics are often quite abstract and the listener can interpret himself what the lyrics mean for him/her.

The new album has a really dark, sharp sound. Who did the sound and where did you recorded the new album? I would like to know how do you compose new material for your albums, how is the process going? How DESULTORY compose? Who has the last word and who says “this is it, this is how the song will go”.

It was recorded with Tore Stierna in his Necromorbus studio in Stockholm, he was very involved in the outcome of the sound which is a bit more organic and heavy this time I think
The writing process is usually that Håkan has done some guitar ideas and brings it to the rehearsal room where the rest of the band helps with arrangement, Thomas creates his drum parts, I do the vocal arrangement and Jojje the Bass, it is quite a democratic process and we usually agree in the end


I like the darkness of your work. It feels like I am outside in the forest in the night, somewhere in Sweden. Are you somehow influenced by your environment? Does the country where are you from shows somehow in your songs?

Not really, maybe subconsciously but we do not find inspiration by walking in the forests like some other bands seems to do.

I have to say that I have your complete discography. I listened to your band when you released your first demo cassette “From Beyond” in 1990. I even have the old cassette in my home now but they are in terrible shapes. Have you considered releasing your demo records again?

Wow, that is really amazing, its always so cool to hear from people that been with us since the really early days. We actually re-mastered and released all our demos and put them on the re-issues of Into Eternity and Bitterness in 2011 released by Pulverised records.

You are like veterans now. When you compare your beginnings with today, do you think the time has changed? I mean the attitude of fans, labels, organizations and so on? I often hear that “it is not how it used to be”. What do you think?

Yes we have been around now for almost 28 years so a lot of things have of course changed. The underground scene in the years between 88-93 was of course amazing with all tape-trading and so on, it took a lot of dedication from the people in the scene to write letters, trade tapes, do zines etc and of course all that is easier now with internet which didn’t exist at that time.

Nowadays, many people download music online and they only use its digital form. How do you feel about this issue? I would like to know your opinion as a musician.

It is of course easier now to find new bands and so on but I also think that maybe back then the dedication was a bit higher it was not so easy to find out what was good and to get what you wanted to listen to, but of course, ordinary metal is huge and continues to grow, so I think its good with the online streaming, but I don’t think the kids now get the same feeling like I did when I was waiting for Piece of Mind, Justice for All, Reign in Blood, Altars of Madness or Leprosy to be released…then go directly to the record store and buy the vinyl, go home really excited and listen to it 50 times in a row, read all the lyrics etc…

Are there any albums which have caught your attention recently?

I have not really listened to Neurosis before, but now I have started to check them out and its heavy as fuck!

Do you know and listen any Czech bands?

I know about Krabathor of course but not really anyone else unfortunately.

 Procesy podchlazení lidského těla mívají mnohdy zajímavý průběh. V žilách se vám začnou pomalu tvořit malé krystalky ledu, mozek odmítá jakoukoliv činnost a kolem srdce se usazuje tíseň. Získáváte mrtvolnou barvu, jste alergičtí na světlo, stáváte se nemrtvými.

 Zombie procesy probíhají i na nové desce českých SECTESY. Kapely, která se rozhodla hrát poctivý, melodiemi obestřený death metal severského střihu. Venku je výheň a v mém pokoji pod bodem mrazu. Poslouchám "In The Secretion of Upcoming Days" stále dokola a přemýšlím, kdy vyleze ze stěn první děsivá temná tvář od krve.



Z "In The Secretion of Upcoming Days" je, jako z dlouho nevětraného hrobu, cítit inspirace DESULTORY, EVOCATION, UNLEASHED, ale třeba i DARK TRANQUILLITY, HYPOCRISY, DISMEMBER. SECTESY mají již od svých počátků svůj jasný ledový rukopis, umí pořádně zachřestit a hlavně - navodit smutně příjemnou atmosféru. Na desce potkáte perfektně zpracované kytary, chorobně znějící vokál. Je ošetřena dobře čitelným a podchlazeným zvukem (SECTESY Home studio a HOLLYSOUND Studio), opravdu parádním obalem (Jakub Rusek). Splněno bylo vlastně vše proto, aby byl fanoušek severských melodií nadmíru spokojen (kapela dokáže jednu hrozně důležitou věc - umí napsat jasný a zapamatovatelný motiv). Nemám žádných kritických připomínek, album si neskutečně užívám, snad jen některé skladby mohly být trošku kratší. Procházím se hřbitovem, čekám, až se setmí, kývám se do rytmu a zdravím známé zombie. Křepčíme na "In The Secretion of Upcoming Days", odpadávají nám kousky masa od kostí. Vše je v absolutním pořádku! Má krev je ledová a srdce nasměřované na sever! Vynikající album, které roztančí i nemrtvé!

The processes of subcooling the human body often have an interesting course. Small crystals of ice will slowly begin to form in your veins, your brain will refuse any activity, and a dilapidation will occur around your heart. You get a dead color, you are allergic to light, you become undead.

Zombie processes also take place on the new board of the Czech SECTESY. The bands that decided to play honest, melodic Nestor's death metal. There is a fire outside and in my room below the freezing point. I'm listening to "In the Secretion of Upcoming Days" all the time and I wonder when the first scary dark face covered by blood comes out.
From "In The Secretion of Upcoming Days", like a long-awakened grave, feel the inspiration DESULTORY, EVOCATION, UNLEASHED, but even DARK TRANQUILLITY, HYPOCRISY, DISMEMBER. SECTESY have their bright ice manuscript from their very beginnings, they can really shake and, most importantly, create a sadly pleasant atmosphere. On the record you'll meet perfectly-crafted guitars, a morphing vocal. It is treated with a well-readable and subcooled sound (SECTESY Home studio and HOLLYSOUND Studio), really a great cover (Jakub Rusek).

In fact, everything was done to be extremely satisfied with the Nordic melody fan (the band can do one very important thing - they can write a clear and memorable motif). I do not have any critical comments, I'm really enjoying the album, maybe some songs could be a bit shorter. I go through the graveyard, wait until I get dark, I'm in the rhythm and greet familiar zombies. We're shouting "In the Secretion of Upcoming Days", we're missing pieces of meat from our bones. Everything is in absolute right! My blood is ice and hearts pointing north! Excellent album that dances even undead!

 Hned vedle varhan, kousek od oltáře, se válí kusy lidských těl. To zase někdo jednou bojoval za víru. Znesvěcený kostel, ohořelé kříže, apokalypsa všech věřících. Nevím, proč vlastně, ale Satan opět dostal svou jasnou lidskou tvář. 

 Běloruský death metal od LJOSAZABOJSTWA je černým rouhačským otiskem na zdi starého kostela. Mocné vypjaté riffy vypovídají ledacos o okultních rituálech, o děsivých zážitcích, o strachu. Člověk má opravdu pocit, že se prochází ruinami kdysi mocné katedrály. Záhrobí zase jednou zvítězilo.



Při poslechu "Sychodžańnie" občas vzpomínám na kapely jako NECROS CHRISTOS, MORTUARY DRAPE, ale i třeba MAYHEM. Působí jako zahuštěná tma, smíchaná s krví, jako bolest ukřižovaných, jako smrt v přímém přenosu. Proplétám se mezi riffy, užívám si okultní atmosféru, parádně ošklivý zvuk. Deska připomíná čerstvě otevřený hrob, starou, časem ohlodanou mrtvolu. Smrt je při poslechu hodně blízko. Vynikající black/death metalové album, které obrací kříže směrem dolů. Takhle zní samotné peklo!

sumarizace:

Morbidní album "Sychodžańnie", plné toho nejsmrdutějšího old school death metalu, se rozhodně povedla. Najdete na něm ty nejvybranější kousky zahnívajícího masa. Každý hrobník, fanoušek old school death metalu a blacku by měl zbystřit svoji pozornost. Na albu se totiž odehrávají ty nejtemnější okultní rituály, chrastí se s kostmi a drtí se lebky ostrými melodiemi. LJOSAZABOJSTWA pocházejí z toho nejhlubšího podzemí a na jejich hudbě je to znát. PARADISE LOST - Medusa

 Našlapuji opatrně, po schodech dolů. Dřevěná prkna vržou, ze stěn ztéká temnota. Tam někde ve sklepě, pod blikající žárovkou, je truhla a v ní uříznutá hlava Medusy. Vytahuji ji, kroutí se háďata ve vlasech. Už jsem to chtěl dlouho udělat. Musel jsem. Pohlédl jsem jí do tváře a navěky zkameněl. Došel jsem svého cíle.

Přiznám se, že první týden opakovaného poslechu nové desky PARADISE LOST jsem byl velmi rozpačitý. Nevěděl jsem moc, co si s novinkou počít. Tápal jsem, mnohdy album odložil a odcházel s nepochopením pryč. Pak jsem si vzal na chalupě v horách "Medusu" do sluchátek, když jsem šel do sklepa a tam jsem hudbě zcela propadl.




PARADISE LOST jsou kapelou, která již asi nebude předkládat nic nového, převratného. Přesto si troufám tvrdit, že se novinka povedla. Chce sice víc času než "The Plague Within", ale jinak si s předešlým albem v ničem nezadá. Důležitý je smutek a ten je z tvorby Britů pořád cítit. Na sto honů rozpoznatelné riffy Grega Mackintoshe a vokál Nicka Holmese, to jsou hlavní poznávací znaky skupiny. A potom také studeně naléhavá atmosféra. Víc od PARADISE LOST nepotřebuji a vlastně ani nechci. Každý máme v hlavě nebo dole ve sklepě svoji vlastní Medusu. Neposlouchám už dávno nahrávky ušima, ale spíš srdcem a letošní deska britských doomařů mě úplně pohltila. Kráčím tiše, abych nenarušil vznešeně černou náladu, mávnu rukou nad příliš "moderním" zvukem i ne moc hezkým obalem. Hlavní je hudba a ta se mi doslova zadřela pod kůži. Doom metalová deska od legendy, u které vám zkamení srdce smutkem! Skvěle!

I walk cautiously down the stairs. Wooden boards plop and darkness flows from the walls. Somewhere in the basement, there is a chest under the flashing bulb and the cut off head of the Medus is inside. I'm pulling her up, the nods twisted in hair. I wanted to do it for a long time.... I had to.... I looked at her face and faded forever. I've reached my goal.
I admit that I was very embarrassed for the first week of listening to the new PARADISE LOST album. I did not know much about what to do with the news. I wandered, often dropping the album and leaving with misunderstanding. Then I took the "Medusa" into the headphones on the chalet in the mountains and when I went to the basement... there I had completely dropped the music.
PARADISE LOST are a band that will probably not offer anything new or overwhelming. Yet I dare to say that the novelty has succeeded. It may require more time than "The Plague Within", but otherwise it does not fit in with the previous album. The sad atmosphere is important, and it is still felt from the work of the British. One hundred honors of recognizable riffs by Greg Mackintosh and Nick Holmes vocals are the main cognitive features of the band. And then a cold-tempered atmosphere.

I do not need more from PARADISE LOST and I do not even want it. Everyone has our own Medus in the head or downstairs in the cellar. Long ago I do not listen to the recordings with my ears but rather by the heart and this album of British doomers totally absorbed me. I walk silently, not to disturb the lofty black mood. A forgive them a "modern" sound and not nice cover. The main thing is music and I literally stuck under my skin. Doom metal album from the legends, your heart will fossilize while listening to this record! Great!

Prý vyšla nová směrnice, která zakazuje sex s nemrtvými. Jenže my jsme rebelové, my si děláme co chceme! Ctíme pradávná pravidla metalu, nenecháme se jen tak zastrašit. Vždyť co může být krásnějšího, než pořádně sexy zombie, nemám pravdu?

 Poslouchám metal už od doby, kdy byl ještě hlavně zábavou. Jsem vždycky hrozně rád, když mi na recenze přijdou kapely jako jsou finští BONEHUNTER. Včera jsem byl v hospodě a donutili jsme s kamarádem servírku, aby nám pustila z mp3 jejich nové album "Sexual Panic Human Machine". Chvílemi tančili i ti co nemohou. Pořádně natlakovaný thrash/black i poctivá dávka punku opravdu dokáže rozhýbat nemrtvé.



"Sexual Panic Human Machine" je albem ve stylu starých dobrých DARKTHRONE, DESASTER, VENOM, AURA NOIR, MIDNIGHT, GEHENNAH, TOXIC HOLOCAUST. Připomíná mi pořádnou pařbu v noční márnici. Kolem se válí poházené kosti, líbáme stále dokola ty nejkrásnější lebky, pivo teče proudem. Nic neřešit, užívat si, mávat hlavou až do úplného zemdlení. U podobné hudby neumím být v klidu. Moc dobře vím, že je nepůvodní, stále stejná, ale když ono je to stále taková zábava a odvaz. Starý prašivý zvuk, nasazení hodné dávných mistrů, plesnivina, vznášející se všude kolem. BONEHUNTER umí kopnout do vrtule, rozprášit usedlý prach, zničit energií všechny pochybovače. Dejte mi další pivo a otevřete další hrob! Thrash! Metal! Black! Punk! Navždy! Skvělé album!

Finští black thrashoví BONEHUNTER letos vydali album plné skvělých studených songů. Perfektní starý zvuk, riffy vytažené odněkud ze samotného podzemí a k tomu drive a energie. Novinka mrazí, jako dotyk samotné Smrti. Ne, BONEHUNTER se nemění, ale to, co hrají, dělají poctivě, s nadšením a odhodláním. Z novinky doslova tryskají černé kousky ledu. Při poslechu si přijdu jako na nějakém opuštěném hřbitově, kde právě ožívají nemrtví. Mráz, strach, tajemno, temnota a nekonečná tma. Tohle všechno na nahrávce najdete. BONEHUNTER nic nemění, hrají jen to, co umějí nejlépe. Starý, plesnivý a reálný black thrash metal. Za mě palec nahoru! Tahle deska mi koluje v krvi jako jed! Album, u kterého praskají lebky chladem!

No, BONEHUNTER doesn't change, but when they play, they do it honestly, with enthusiasm and backbone. There are  black chunks of ice gushing from the news. When listening I'm like on an abandoned cemetery, where undead just come alive. Frost, fear, mystery, darkness and endless darkness. All of these can be found on the record. BONEHUNTER doesn't change anything, just play what they can best. Old, moldy and real black thrash metal. For me, thumbs up! This album circulates in my blood like poison! This is the album that skulls are cracking by!
