Asphyx says:

Deathcore and its offshoots are definitely not among the styles I would look for voluntarily. I'm too old dog for that. I prefer to spend my time in abandoned cemeteries and with bands that are closer to my heart. For the second time, however, I will make an exception for the Slovak band STERCORE. This group is still working on themselves, and fine-tuning the details of their songs. And it does it even at a time when dozens of similar groups you can be heard at every step.

STERCORE is a group of nice guys who play deathcore and complement it with a lot of melodies. And they do it well, if I take into account the shift in sound, in the overall production, graphics and similar things, which a lot of groups underestimate, and then they are surprised that no one listens to them and no one is interested in their music. Let's face it. If I listened to deathcore and melodic death metal embedded in it, I would have a STERCORE poster pasted in my room. That is a clear thing!

Even CARNIFEX, INSOMNIUM, IN FLAMES and other similar bands would not be ashamed of the "Indifference" album. If I take it around and around, I don't really have any major problems with this album. Sure, it could be dirtier, it could include fewer deaf spots on it (but I really found only a few, especially when the band is playing fast). On the contrary, melodies are a great asset of Slovak lunatics. Personally, melodies are quite important for me and here the guitar riffs are the thing that can keep my attention. "Indifference" is a fresh, varied record that definitely does not lack drive and heavy effect. The involvement of various guests is also refreshing. STERCORE improved a bit in their craft again, you can feel the enthusiasm and determination on the record. In addition, I like them as people, which of course also counts in the overall impression. Sometimes a slight stereotype creeps in, but these are really just occasional moments that can't disturb the overall impression. I don't have a numerical rating in my reviews and impressions from the albums, I personally think that the number can't express what the words can, but in the case of new STERCORE album I would easily give 7/10. The record is fresh, in a way brave and as a bonus ,it will kick your ass! Can a fan of this style want anything more? I don't think so. Be STERCORE!
