Zlo se ukrývá někde hluboko uvnitř. V hlavě i ve shnilém břiše. Snaha ovládnout, zničit, ponížit. Kus bestie je v každém z nás, ale většina ji dokáže zkrotit. Jsou ale jedinci, kteří jsou stále na lovu. Přicházejí z temnoty. Plni špíny a hnisu. Nechceš se s nimi setkat, přesto pomalu ovládají tenhle svět. Stačí si přečíst zprávy. Apokalypsa už dávno začala. Pracujeme na ní pomalu, ale jistě. Umíráme zaživa. Pochodujeme na smrt. A ještě se u toho usmíváme.
Bojovat proti bestiím se dá různými způsoby. Slovem i silou, ale já mám stejně nejraději hudbu. Takovou, která si mě postupně podmaní, získá na svoji stranu. Mám rád energii a sílu, čerpám ji, nasávám. Pro další boj s přízraky. Dovolte mi, abych vám představil maďarské MONASTERY. Kapelu, která hraje syrový, surový death metal. A umí jej na výbornou! Jen pro zajímavost, poprvé jsem se s nimi setkal až letos na festivalu SYMBOLIC. Hrají od roku 1989, měli několik přestávek. Letos přicházejí s novou deskou "Divine Damnation", u které se probouzí démoni!
Kapela nám jasně a zřetelně ukazuje, jak se mají skládat silné melodie. Ano, na skvělých, zajímavých riffech je jejich hudba postavena. Nejsou to ale jenom ony, přidávány jsou i tma, chlad, síla a tlak. Výsledný koktejl vám rozdrásá obličej do krve. MONASTERY dokáží vytvořit atmosféru podobnou blízké smrti. Mám při poslechu pocit, že se setkávám s bestiemi. Díváme se do obličeje a já cítím jejich zkažený dech. Za chvíli mi prokousnou hrdlo a stanu se jedním z nich. Pochválit musím zvuk i obal, ale hlavně spoustu zajímavých nápadů. "Divine Damnation" se stalo na dlouhou dobu mým společníkem a také koutem, oázou, do které jsem se mohl schovat před současným divným světem. Skladby ve mě evokovaly touhu vzít do rukou kladivo a zničit všechny obrazovky. Přelámat kosti na prach. Lámat a roztrhat. V rychlých momentech připomíná deska setkání se smečkou pitbulů, v melodických zase tanec na ledovém ostří rezavého nože. Zlo se ukrývá někde hluboko uvnitř. V hlavě i ve shnilém břiše. Jako prostředek se sama nabízí nahrávka "Divine Damnation". Je totiž nejen poctivým zabijáckým řemeslem, ale i muzikou, která musí potěšit každého, kdo má rád starý smrtící kov. Masivní, mocné a temné, apokalyptické death metalové tsunami!

There are many ways to fight the beasts. Words and force, but I like music best. The kind of music that gradually conquers me, takes me over. I like energy and power, I draw it, I suck it in. For the next fight with the ghosts. Let me introduce you to Hungarian MONASTERY. A band that plays rough, raw death metal. And they do it well! Just for the record, I first met them at SYMBOLIC festival this year. They've been playing since 1989, they've had a few breaks. This year they come with a new album "Divine Damnation", with which demons are awakening!
The band shows us clearly and distinctly how to compose strong melodies. Yes, their music is built on great, interesting riffs. But it's not just them, darkness, coldness, power and pressure are added as well. The resulting cocktail will rip your face to shreds. MONASTERY can create an atmosphere akin to near death. Listening to them, I feel like I'm meeting beasts. We look into each other's faces and I can smell their foul breath. Soon they will bite my throat and I will become one of them. I have to praise the sound and the cover, but most of all a lot of interesting ideas. "Divine Damnation" became my companion for a long time and also a corner, an oasis where I could hide from the current strange world. The songs evoked in me the desire to take a hammer in my hands and destroy all the screens. To break bones into dust. To break and tear. In the fast moments, the record reminds of an encounter with a group of pit-bulls, in the melodic ones, a dance on the icy blade of a rusty knife. Evil hides somewhere deep inside. But there are individuals who are still on the hunt. They come from the darkness. Full of filth and pus. We must destroy them! "Divine Damnation" offers itself as a means. For it is not only honest killer craft, but music that must please anyone who loves the old death metal. A massive, powerful and dark, apocalyptic death metal tsunami!
