Válka už dávno začala. Přízraky padlých vojáků se vrátily, aby vykonaly děsivou pomstu. Znovu se umírá v ulicích, opět zní éterem příkazy k zabíjení. Chlad, temnota a zástupy, pochodující na jistou smrt. Historie se opakuje s pravidelnou přesností. Dějiny lidského násilí jsou nekonečné. Stejně jako pravý, reálný a prašivý death metal. Nové album německých maniaků ATOMWINTER je zde a já s chutí znovu a znovu umírám.
Téhle smečce jsme se u nás na stránkách věnovali od jejich počátků (odkazy na recenze a rozhovor naleznete dole pod článkem). Patří k jedněm z vyvolených, kteří přesně pochopili ducha devadesátých let minulého století. Jsou to staří, zkušení válečníci, kteří moc dobře vědí, o čem je hnusná, ošklivá a reálná smrt. Nahrávka "Sakrileg" je toho jasným důkazem. Oheň zase jednou hoří černým plamenem! A zombie se usmívají.
AMOTWINTER se pohybují ve stejných katakombách s jistotou a silou, stejně jako kapely typu ASPHYX, BOLT THROWER, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, ENTRAILS, NIHILIST. I letos se jim povedlo nahrát desku, která mě zasáhla přímo do srdce. Nabodnut na ostré riffy, pohřben zaživa, s chorobným vokálem, zabijáckými bicími, jsem s hudbu doslova propojen. Najednou jsem jedním z mnoha vojáků temnoty, který se sklání před samotnou Smrtí. Ďábel, démoni, i všechny ostatní přízraky mi dávají za pravdu a kývají na souhlas hlavami bez očí. Skladby jsou velmi dobře napsány, zvuk drtí kosti a o obalu netřeba diskutovat, miluju černobílé obrazy plné morbidity. Patří k hranému stylu, stejně jako rakev k mrtvému. Němci mě převedli na druhou stranu, za řeku Styx a byli mi skvělými průvodci. Novinka je totiž nebývale povedeným počinem po všech stránkách. Když budete "Sakrileg" poslouchat stále dokola, shnijete pomalu zaživa, rozpadnete se v prach a stanete se také zombie toulající se navěky na onom světě. Myslím si, že se album stane na dlouhou dobu častým návštěvníkem v mém přehrávači. Je totiž po okraj narvané skvělými motivy, chladem, tmou a nekonečným utrpením hříšníků. Válka už dávno začala. Přízraky padlých vojáků se vrátily, aby vykonaly děsivou pomstu. Temné, chladné ozvěny z death metalových hrobů!

We've been covering this band since their early days on our site (links to reviews and interview can be found at the bottom of the article). They are one of the select few who have accurately grasped the spirit of the 1990s. They are old, seasoned warriors who know all too well what the ugly, nasty, real death is all about. The recording of "Sakrileg" is clear proof of that. The fire burns black once again! And the zombies are smiling.
ATOMWINTER move in the same catacombs with confidence and power, just like bands like ASPHYX, BOLT THROWER, GRAVE, DISMEMBER, ENTRAILS, NIHILIST. This year they also managed to record a album, which hit me right in the heart. Charged on sharp riffs, buried alive, with sick vocals, killer drums, I literally connected with the music. Suddenly I am one of the many soldiers of darkness bowing down to Death itself. The devil, the demons, and all the other phantoms give me the benefit of the doubt, nodding their eyeless heads in agreement. The songs are very well written, the sound is bone crushing and the cover artwork needs no discussion, I love the black and white images full of morbidity. It belongs to the style being played, like a coffin belongs to the dead. The Germans took me to the other side, beyond the river Styx and were great guides. In fact, the novelty is an unprecedented success in every respect. If you listen to "Sakrileg" over and over again, you will slowly rot alive, crumble into dust and become a zombie too, wandering forever in the next world. I think the album will become a frequent visitor in my player for a long time. It's packed to the brim with great themes, coldness, darkness and the endless suffering of sinners. The war has long since begun. The ghosts of the fallen soldiers have returned to wreak their terrible vengeance. Dark, cold echoes from death metal graves!
