Venku mrzne a fouká ledový vítr. Přesto musím ven. Mrtví nepočkají. Vydám se do tmy a poslouchám novou desku BERZERKER LEGION. Stíny jsou dlouhé a v ulicích nikdo není. Jenom tma a vzpomínky. Kousek za městem, pod korunami starých stromů, je vchod do podzemí. Nahlížím do jednotlivých hrobek a už dávno nejsem na tomto světě. Cítím v kostech, že tahle deska se opět povedla. Kapela se vrátila po třech letech a je silnější, než kdy dřív.
Máte rádi melodický death metal? Já samozřejmě ano. Pánové opět rozpoutali bouři, která vás smete z povrchu zemského. Mrazivé melodie mi pronikají dovnitř mé hlavy, jsem při poslechu mimo, na onom světě. Potkávám duše svých předků, vzpomínám na kamarády, kteří již nejsou mezi námi. Mám rád muziku, která ve mě probudí fantazii. Z novinky cítím chlad, silné motivy a spoustu dobrých nápadů. Můj kompas je nasměřován na sever.
My, staří a poctiví fanoušci kovu smrti samozřejmě víme, že tahle smečka je složena ze členů slavných kapel jako ASPHYX, DARK FUNERAL, WOMBBATH, VADER. Sešla se tu death metalová šlechta, parta muzikantů, kteří moc dobře rozumí své práci. Ale nejen to, je znát a slyšet, že pánové tvořili novou desku s takovým tím klasickým nadšením. Základem jsou severské melodie z oblasti Gothenburgu, zazní ale i odkazy na americkou klasiku. Pokud jste tedy fanoušci kapel jako AT THE GATES, EUCHARIST, HYPOCRISY, AMON AMARTH, ale třeba i OBITUARY a BOLT THROWER, je nové album určeno přesně pro vás. Zvuku, produkci, ani obalu nelze vytknout vůbec nic. Vše perfektně sedí na svých místech. Každé hodnocení je vždy velmi subjektivní a je to tak správně. Mezi mnou a kapelou musí dojít ke vzájemnému propojení, musí mě jejich hudba bavit. Jsem s BERZERKER LEGION na stejné vlně. A hlavně, letošní počin "Chaos Will Reign" mě opravdu baví poslouchat. Nejlépe v noci nebo brzy ráno, když jsou ulice ještě prázdné a můžete potkat pouze přízraky. Pozdravím nemrtvé a vstoupím dovnitř. Už dávno nepotřebuji nic. Jenom klid na poslech a dobré nahrávky. Zavřu za sebou rezavé dveře a toulám se podzemím. Tahle deska v sobě má velkou sílu, spoustu neotřelých melodií a praskají u ní kosti. Pro mě je to důkaz, že nelze hodnotit jinak, než velmi vysoko. Ledová, mocná a majestátní melodická death metalová vichřice, po které zůstane jenom zničená země! Mráz v kostech!

It's freezing outside and there's an icy wind. Still, I have to go out. The dead won't wait. I go out in the dark and listen to the new BERZERKER LEGION album. The shadows are long and there's no one in the streets. Just darkness and memories. Just outside the city, under the old tree tops, is the entrance to the underground. I peer into each tomb and I am long gone from this world. I feel in my bones that this record has done it again. The band has returned after three years and is stronger than ever.
Do you like melodic death metal? Of course I do. The gentlemen have once again unleashed a storm that will blow you off the face of the earth. The chilling melodies penetrate inside my head, I'm out of my head, in the other world, listening to it. I meet the souls of my ancestors, I remember my friends who are no longer with us. I like music that awakens my imagination. I feel a chill, strong themes and a lot of good ideas from the news. My compass is pointing north.
We, old and honest fans of death metal, know that this pack is composed of members of famous bands like ASPHYX, DARK FUNERAL, WOMBBATH, VADER. Death metal royalty gathered here, a bunch of musicians who understand their job very well. But not only that, you can see and hear that the gentlemen created the new album with such a classic enthusiasm. Nordic melodies from the Gothenburg area are the basis, but there are also references to American classics. So if you are a fan of bands like AT THE GATES, EUCHARIST, HYPOCRISY, AMON AMARTH, but also OBITUARY and BOLT THROWER, the new album is for you. You can't fault the sound, the production or the cover art at all. Everything fits perfectly in place. Every review is always very subjective and rightly so. There has to be a connection between me and the band, I have to enjoy their music. I am on the same wavelength with BERZERKER LEGION. And most importantly, this year's release "Chaos Will Reign" is really fun to listen to. Preferably at night or early in the morning when the streets are still empty and you can only meet ghosts. I say hello to the undead and step inside. I don't need anything anymore. Just a quiet place to listen and good records. I close the rusty door behind me and wander underground. This record has a lot of power, a lot of fresh melodies and it's cracking my bones. For me, it's proof that you can't rate it other than very highly. It's freezing outside and there's an icy wind. Still, I have to get out. The dead can't wait. I head out into the darkness and listen to the new BERZERKER LEGION album. The shadows are long and there's no one in the streets. Just darkness and memories. An icy, mighty and majestic melodic death metal storm that will leave only a ruined earth! A frost in the bones!
