Řekli mi běž a tak jsem běžel. Mí vlastní démoni. Utíkal jsem dlouhou chodbou, hluboko pod zemí a ze stěn vylézaly ruce. Měly v dlaních nože, skalpely. Bodaly mě a řezaly, odsekávaly mi maso od kostí. Ke konci jsem se už jenom plazil. Ve špíně a hnisu, v nadějí, že existuje světlo na konci tunelu. Byl to velký omyl a zklamání. Když totiž zemřete, potkáte už jenom tmu a nekonečnou bolest. Stejné je to i při poslechu debutové desky portugalských SAEVUS FINIS. Když totiž jejich hudbu poslouchám, opravdu si připadám, že se toulám podsvětím, nahlížím do jednotlivých kobek, abych se nakonec dostal k bráně do pekla.

První, co mě zaujalo, tak byl obal. Vždycky, když jsem novinku poslouchal, díval jsem se na něj a připadal jsem si fascinovaný. Tak nějak mi krásně doplňuje jednotlivé skladby. Ty jsou náležitě morbidní, špinavé a když jim dáte čas, tak vás začnou pálit ve vnitřnostech. Budete se kývat do rytmu jako nemrtví a vychutnávat si atmosféru plnou tmy a absolutního nihilismu. Portugalci vydali velmi povedené a zajímavé dílo.

V některých momentech působí nahrávka až "nepříjemně". Rozhodně to není jen obyčejná, dnes tolik častá vzpomínka na staré kapely. Naopak, Portugalci se snažili o invenci, o to, aby bylo album pestré a zajímavé. Musím potvrdit, že se jim to povedlo. Základem jsou sice vlivy třeba takových IMMOLATION, INCANTATION, BURIAL HORDES, MORBID ANGEL, VIANIDE, MAERE, ale přidávána je i velká spousta vlastních nápadů. Jako celek je potom nahrávka velmi naléhavá, masivní, neklidná a má v sobě takovou zvláštní energii. Od posluchače bude určitě vyžadovat fantazii a soustředění. Teprve po nějaké době vynikne její síla naplno. Pro mě osobně je potom skvělé, že i po několika týdnech stále objevuji nová temná zákoutí, další neotřelé momenty. Připadám si jako archeolog, který právě vykopal starý hrob. Ohledávám jednotlivé kosti, samozřejmě se sluchátky na uších, ve kterých mi hraje "Facilis Descensus Averno". Najednou mám pocit, že se mnou mrtvý rozmlouvá. Vypráví mi o nekonečné bolesti, o utrpení, o dlouhé chodbě bez konce. Jak musel běžet stále dopředu a jak u toho muzika postupně gradovala, zadírala se mu do mozku, hluboko pod kůži. Určitě víte, o čem píšu. Pokud jste staří fanoušci kovu smrti, také vás fascinuje temnota a chlad. Chladné kobky, mrtvolné katakomby. Pokud ano, tak jste zde správně. Zmínit ještě musím formální stránku věci. Zvuk i obal jsou povedené. Nemám žádných námitek. Naopak, desku si opravdu užívám. Řekli mi běž a tak jsem běžel. Mí vlastní démoni. Utíkal jsem dlouhou chodbou, hluboko pod zemí a ze stěn vylézaly ruce. Morbidní, tíživý, mocný a infernální death metal z onoho světa! Blasfemie a temnota!

Because when I listen to their music, I really feel like I'm wandering through the underworld, peering into the various dungeons to finally reach the gates of hell.

The first thing that caught my attention was the cover art. Every time I listened to a new release, I'd look at it and feel fascinated. It somehow complemented the individual tracks beautifully for me. They are appropriately morbid, dirty and if you give them time, they start to burn your guts. You'll be swaying to the beat like the undead and enjoying an atmosphere full of darkness and absolute nihilism. The Portuguese have released a very hilarious and interesting work.

In some moments, the recording seems almost "unpleasant". It is definitely not just an ordinary, nowadays so common memory of old bands. On the contrary, the Portuguese have tried to be inventive, to make the album varied and interesting. I have to confirm that they succeeded. Although the base is influenced by such bands as IMMOLATION, INCANTATION, BURIAL HORDES, MORBID ANGEL, VIANIDE, MAERE, they also add a lot of their own ideas. As a whole then the record is very urgent, massive, restless and has such a strange energy to it. It will definitely require imagination and concentration from the listener. Only after some time will its power fully emerge. For me personally, then, it's great that even after a few weeks I'm still discovering new dark corners, more novel moments. I feel like an archaeologist who just dug up an old grave. I'm examining the bones, of course with headphones on, with "Facilis Descensus Averno" playing in my ears. Suddenly I feel like the dead are talking to me. He's telling me about the endless pain, the suffering, the long corridor without end. How he had to keep running forward, and how the music gradually graded, digging into his brain, deep under his skin. I'm sure you know what I'm writing about. If you're an old fan of death metal, you're also fascinated by the darkness and the cold. Cold dungeons, dead catacombs. If so, you've come to the right place. I must also mention the formal side of things. The sound and the cover art are great. I have no complaints. On the contrary, I really enjoy the record. They told me to run, so I ran. My own demons.
