Čekání na smrt. V zimě, ve sněhu, v divoké vichřici. Hudba i chlad se ti dostávají až do morku kostí. I do podvědomí. Vznášíš se na zpěněných vlnách vlastních myšlenek. Mají barvu krve a když se setmí, tak tě jako nějaké pevné pavučiny obejme smutek. Osamocen bojuješ s přírodou i s vlastním svědomím. Posloucháš u toho nové album švédských tmářů IMPERISHABLE a přemýšlíš o věčnosti. Tahle muzika je křišťálově čistá. Jako čerstvý led, který za chvilku pokryje tvoji mrtvolu.
Pánové nám letos přinášejí svoji druhou dlouhohrající nahrávku a nutno rovnou dodat, že se jedná o vskutku povedený smrtící kov severského střihu. Není divu, kapela pochází z Gothenburgu a má tenhle styl dávno zakódovaný v genech. I letos dostanou fanoušci poctivou porci ostrých riffů, mocných melodií, divokých bicích i surového vokálu. A to vše zahalené do sněhové bouře. Zemřete uvrženi do hlubiny.
Jak je všeobecně známo, kapela je tvořena zkušenými muzikanty (VAMPIRE, DR. LIVING DEAD, NOMINON, LEPROSY, CARNAL SAVAGERY a spousta dalších), kteří moc dobře vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát. Dali si pozor na skvělý, dobře čitelný zvuk (Recorded by Andy LaRocque at Sonic Train Studios (At the Gates, Lord Belial, King Diamond)) i zajímavý a perfektně provedený motiv na obalu od mého oblíbeného malíře Juanjo Castelana. Na první i druhý, i každý další poslech je slyšet i vidět, že vše sedí perfektně na svých místech. Hlavní je ale, jako vždy hudba, a ta má v sobě potřebný drive i sílu, takový ten poctivý heavy efekt, který mám na death metalu tolik rád. Opravdu si při poslechu připadám, jako bych byl někde daleko na severu a bojoval tam proti přírodě i sobě samému. Jednotlivé skladby mají vždy jasné a zřetelné nápady, které jsou nadále rozvíjeny. A to vždy takovým způsobem, že si je pamatuji a rád se k nim vracím. Pokud jste fanoušci třeba takových AT THE GATES, NECROPHOBIC, DEATH, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, ENTRAILS, EVOCATION, WOLFHEARTH určitě mi dáte za pravdu, že se nové album opravdu povedlo. Jako bych se ztratil někde v lesích na severu. Osamocený, jenom se svými vlastními démony. Vždycky říkám, že si musím k desce získat osobní vztah, musím mít chuť si ji rvát do hlavy pod tlakem. U "Swallowing the World" tomu tak je, to vám klidně podepíšu vlastní krví. Zkrátka a dobře, IMPERISHABLE umí své řemeslo na výbornou a přidávají ještě něco navíc. As is widely known, the band consists of experienced musicians (VAMPIRE, DR. LIVING DEAD, NOMINON, LEPROSY, CARNAL SAVAGERY, and many others) who know exactly what they want to play and how. They paid attention to the excellent, clear sound (Recorded by Andy LaRocque at Sonic Train Studios (At the Gates, Lord Belial, King Diamond)) and the interesting and perfectly executed cover art by my favorite painter Juanjo Castelan. On the first and second, and every subsequent listen, you can hear and see that everything fits perfectly in its place. But the main thing, as always, is the music, and it has the necessary drive and power, that honest heavy effect that I love so much in death metal. When I listen to it, I really feel like I'm somewhere far north, fighting against nature and myself. The individual songs always have clear and distinct ideas that are further developed. And always in such a way that I remember them and like to come back to them. If you are a fan of bands such as AT THE GATES, NECROPHOBIC, DEATH, DISMEMBER, ENTOMBED, ENTRAILS, EVOCATION, WOLFHEARTH, you will surely agree with me that the new album is really good. It's as if I were lost somewhere in the forests of the north. Alone, only with my own demons. I always say that I have to develop a personal relationship with an album, I have to feel like I want to pound it into my head under pressure. That's the case with "Swallowing the World", I'll gladly sign that with my own blood. In short, IMPERISHABLE knows its craft perfectly and adds something extra.
