Temná, chladná noc se pomalu měnila v mlhavé ráno. Samota duše, samota těla, takhle to bude jednou vypadat, až zaplatím převozníkovi přes řeku Styx. Ocitnu se ve světě za oponou a zůstanu jenom se svým vlastním svědomím. Na smrt jsme vždycky sami. Zbývá už jenom vybrat soundtrack k poslednímu spočinutí. Myslím si, že nové album norských CADAVER je pro tyto chvíle velmi dobrou volbou.
Zažil jsem s kapelou jejich počátky, i skvělý návrat v roce 2020. Vždycky se mi líbil jejich přístup k muzice, způsob jakým píšou nové skladby. Každé album je trošku jiné, přesto si pánové zachovávají svůj vlastní rukopis a originální výraz. I novinka se pohybuje někde na pomezí staroškolského thrash metalu a deathu. Samozřejmě s nezbytnými příměsemi black metalu a progresivních, technických prvků.
Letos mi jejich čerstvě umíchaný a pěkně zapáchající koktejl začal pořádně chutnat až po nějaké době. K vzájemnému přenosu došlo opravdu až brzy ráno, když jsem šel temnou ulicí, když se noc měnila v den a nastala hodina mezi psem a vlkem. Jednotlivé melodie jsou velmi naléhavé, ostré a nepostrádají takovou tu poctivou patinu. Povedl se i zvuk a o obalu také netřeba diskutovat. Všechno tu sedí perfektně na svých místech a vy se tak můžete soustředit na hudbu samotnou. Možná jste si všimli, že jsou mnozí lidé poslední roky zahleděni jenom sami do sebe. Je to zvláštní jev, ze kterého vzešla již spousta zlého. Jakoby se při poslechu člověk díval do zrcadla, které mu dokáže nahlédnout do jeho nitra. Alespoň takhle vnímám novinku já. Vše mi tu připadá ohlodané na kost, syrové. Určitě znáte takový ten pocit pomalu přicházejícího vzteku, který jednou vyvře ven jako láva ze sopky. CADAVER se povedlo zachytit přesně takové nálady a ať už jsou to odkazy na CARCASS, VOIVOD, floridskou nebo švédskou death metalovou školu nebo do rudého zabarvený black metal, vše je dávkováno s citem i elegancí starých mistrů v oboru. Tahle kapela si šla vždy vlastní cestou a i letos po nich zůstává pěkně hluboká krvavá stopa. Doporučuji poslouchat v tichu a naprosté tmě, v těchto momentech vynikne jejich pradávná síla nejvíce. Je fakt, že někdy bývám také rád sám, odstřihnutý od současného divného světa. Přecházím v myšlenkách na druhou stranu, padám do hlubiny, užívám si jednotlivé melodie. Pokud máte tuhle smečku rádi a nebojíte se pohlédnout do zrcadla a zjistit pravdu o temnotě, tak neváhejte ani chvilku. Dostanete spoustu odpovědí na otázky, které jste se báli položit. Black, thrash death metalová mantra, která vás rozdrásá zevnitř! Temnota plná chladu a beznaděje!

The dark, cold night was slowly turning into a foggy morning. Loneliness of the soul, loneliness of the body, this is what it will look like one day when I pay the ferryman across the River Styx. I'll find myself in the world behind the curtain, left only with my own conscience. We are always alone in death. All that's left is to choose the soundtrack for our final resting place. I think that the new album by Norway's CADAVER is a very good choice for these moments.
I've been with the band through their early days, and their great comeback in 2020. I've always liked their approach to music, the way they write new songs. Each album is a little different, yet the gentlemen retain their own signature and original expression. Even the new album is somewhere between old school thrash metal and death. Of course, with the necessary admixtures of black metal and progressive, technical elements.
This year, their freshly mixed and nice smelling cocktail started to taste properly after some time. The mutual transmission didn't really happen until early in the morning as I walked down a dark street, as night turned to day and the hour between dog and wolf arrived. The individual melodies are very urgent, crisp and not lacking that honest patina. The sound is also good and the cover artwork is also not to be discussed. Everything fits perfectly in place here and you can concentrate on the music itself. You may have noticed that many people have been self-absorbed of late. It's a strange phenomenon, and a lot of bad things have come out of it. It's as if, when listening to it, one is looking into a mirror that can see inside oneself. At least that's how I see the novelty. Everything here seems gnawed to the bone, raw. I'm sure you know that feeling of slow-coming anger that will boil out like lava from a volcano. CADAVER has managed to capture exactly that kind of mood, and whether it's references to CARCASS, VOIVOD, the Florida or Swedish school of death metal, or red-tinged black metal, everything is dispensed with the feeling and elegance of the old masters in the business. This band has always gone their own way and even this year they leave a pretty deep bloody trail. I recommend listening in silence and complete darkness, it is in these moments that their ancient power shines through the most. It is a fact that sometimes I also like to be alone, cut off from the strange world of today. I cross over to the other side in my thoughts, fall into the depths, enjoy the individual melodies. If you like this pack and are not afraid to look in the mirror and find out the truth about the darkness, don't hesitate a moment. You'll get plenty of answers to questions you've been afraid to ask. Black, thrash death metal mantra that will tear you up from the inside! Darkness full of coldness and hopelessness!
