Pojďte se se mnou vydat po stopách ztraceného času. Do dob, kdy neexistoval internet, lidé k sobě měli blíž a světu vládly kapely jako CANDLEMASS, BLACK SABBATH a beat generation pomalu odcházela v zapomnění. Mí rodiče měli spoustu gramodesek s rockem, doomem a hippies pomalu zastárli. Nebo ještě dále do historie, když se ulicemi Prahy toulal rozervaný Václav Hrabě a Mrtví nemohli milovat.

Občas se setkám s hudbou, o které nemá cenu psát. Lepší je jí poslouchat. Zavřít se do temného pokoje, brouzdat ve vzpomínkách a nechat pod nohama křupat čerstvý sníh. Právě v těchto momentech, s novým albem "Whose Hearts Petrified" od pražských démonů TRAHIR v přehrávači a dobrou knihou, je mi momentálně nejlépe. Normálně se věnuji a poslouchám extrémnější muziku. Ale základy, ze kterých vznikla, uctívám bezezbytku.

Jeden můj kamarád říká, že dnes je vlastně všechna muzika retro, což podepisuji vlastní krví. Jenže jsou kapely, které se jenom tak tváří. A pak jsou ty, jako TRAHIR, kterým prostě věříte. To je pro mě asi nejdůležitější. Zaslechnout lze odkazy na slavné kapely, které formovaly (stoner) rock, doom, heavy metal. Myslím, že každý si najde ty své a nemá cenu je vypisovat. Lepší je přidat hlasitost, užít si čistý a zároveň "starý" zvuk z The Barn studia, pokochat se nad stylovým obalem (Moonroot - Vojtěch Doubek). Songy čpí okultismem, pelyňkem, špínou i krví. Kapela jde na dřeň, základní riffy jsou ohlodány na kost. Samostatnou kapitolou jsou pak texty, které rozhodně stojí za pozornost (opravdu klobouk dolů - fantasy, sci-fi, historie, literatura - ano, Václav Hrabě, za toho asi největší dík). Kolem jsou potom vystavěny košaté a zajímavé kompozice. Jako bych se toulal zimní krajinou a došel až na staré pohřebiště. Někde tam, uprostřed lesa, s přízraky v zádech, se musela hudba nahrávat. Je jako vzpomínky na ztracené časy, o kterých mi vyprávěli rodiče. Je v ní bolest i radost, jemná a zároveň syrová energie. Nahrubo nasekaná tma i tajemno. Doporučuji poslouchat v klidu a s myslí naladěnou na smutek. Budete se usmívat, někteří možná i plakat. Obejmete své milé, zapálíte svíčku za všechny, kteří měli tuhle desku poslouchat s vámi a již nemohou. Vynikající vokály, spousta zajímavých momentů, prvotřídní provedení, ale i chvění, jiskra, která se změní v plamen. Pokorně se skláním před touto nahrávkou! Heavy doom rockové album, které vás spálí zevnitř!

Come with me on the trail of lost time. Back in the days when there was no internet, people were closer to each other and bands like CANDLEMASS, BLACK SABBATH ruled the world and the beat generation was slowly fading into oblivion. My parents had a lot of gramophone records with rock, doom and hippies slowly got old. Or even further back in history, when a ragged Václav Hrabě roamed the streets of Prague and the Dead couldn't love.

Occasionally I come across music that is not worth writing about. Better to listen to it. To shut myself in a dark room, to wade through memories and let the fresh snow crunch under my feet. It's in these moments, with the new album "Whose Hearts Petrified" by Prague demons TRAHIR in the player and a good book, that I'm at my best at the moment. Normally I'm hanging out and listening to more extreme music. But I worship the foundations from which it was created completely.

A friend of mine says that all music today is actually retro, which I sign with my own blood. But there are some bands that are just pretending to be. And then there are those, like TRAHIR, that you just believe them. That's probably the most important thing for me. You can hear references to famous bands that shaped (stoner) rock, doom, heavy metal. I think everyone will find their own and there is no point in listing them. It is better to turn up the volume, enjoy the clean and at the same time "old" sound from The Barn studio, admire the stylish cover (Moonroot - Vojtěch Doubek). The songs reek of occultism, wormwood, dirt and blood. The band goes to the core, the basic riffs are gnawed to the bone. A separate chapter are the lyrics, which are definitely worth paying attention to (hats off to them - fantasy, sci-fi, history, literature - yes, Václav Hrabě, probably the biggest thanks to him). Around it are then built colourful and interesting compositions. It's like wandering through a winter landscape and arriving at an old burial ground. Somewhere there, in the middle of the forest, with ghosts at its back, the music must have been recorded. It's like memories of lost times my parents told me about. There's pain and joy in it, a subtle and raw energy at the same time. Coarsely chopped darkness and mystery. I recommend listening quietly and with your mind tuned to sadness. You will smile, some may even cry. You will hug your loved ones, light a candle for all those who should have listened to this record with you and no longer can. Excellent vocals, lots of interesting moments, top notch performances, but also a tingle, a spark that turns into a flame. I humbly bow before this record! Heavy doom rock album that will burn you from the inside!
