FLESHWORKS - Engine Of Perdition

 Mrtví se mnou zase rozmlouvají. Bědují, žalují, našeptávají. Rozprávějí o svých osudech. Sedím uprostřed hřbitova, hned pod křížem ze dřeva. Nevím, co jim mám odpovědět. Raději se naposledy nadechnu a pustím jim novou desku německých death metalistů FLESHWORKS. Chvíli na mě zírají skrz protáhlé obličeje nemrtvých a po chvilce začnou souhlasně kývat hlavami.

 Stejně jako já. Jsem vcelku spokojen. Death metal v podání německých maniaků je drsný, surový, ale zároveň melodický. Kapela nesází na zbytečnou brutalitu a komplikovanost, ale spíše na tlak a energii. Riffy jsou mocně vystavěné, hlas silný a i když deska nepatří k úplné špičce, dobře se poslouchá.



Nejsilnější mi přijdou FLESHWORKS právě v melodicky chladných pasážích. V nich nejlépe vynikne cit kapely pro temné harmonie. Občas mám pocit, že skladby ztrácí na síle, ale celkově považuji novinku za více než zdařilou. Ničím výjimečnou, ale poctivou, s dobrým zvukem a spoustou morbidních nápadů. Chybí mi kus něčeho neotřelého, nějaké zajímavé koření, ale to může také být jen můj skromný dojem. Mrtví ke mě sice rozmlouvají, ale jejich hlas je tichý a mnohdy nezřetelný. Melodický death metal je zde kombinován s klasickým, poctivým nářezem ze starých časů. Výsledkem je album, které určitě přesahuje nad průměr, ale chybí mu přeci jen víc krve, špíny a hnisu. Solidní práce.

"Engine Of Perdition" splňuje všechny náležitosti stylu. Melodické, studené pasáže se střídají s rychlými vypalovačkami. Nad albem se jako temný stín vznáší kousky ledu. Ano, potud je všechno v nejlepším pořádku. Ale jen do doby, než se na nahrávku podíváte jako na klon dříve slyšeného. Záleží pak už jen na vás, zda na tuhle hru Němcům přistoupíte, či nikoliv. Osobně bych ocenil alespoň nějaké ostřejší koření, klidně nějaké vsuvky, aby byla narušena občasná monotónnost celého alba. Správný metal má bolet, ale to se u FLESHWORKS neděje. Je to škoda, protože podvědomě cítím, že pánové jsou velmi dobří muzikanti. Jen se bojí předvést. Chtělo by to lepší produkci, některé songy trošku zkrátit. Jinak je vše v pořádku. Solidní death metalové album!

"Engine Of Perdition" meets all requirements of the style. Melodic and cold passages alternate with fast songs. There is a cloud of freeze above this album like a dark shadow. Yes, so far so good. But you can also look at this album as it is a clone of something you have already heard before. And now it is up to you – if you accept those Germans´ game or not. Personally, I would appreciate something a little bit spicier, even small disturbs so the occasional monotony is distracted. The real metal should hurt you, but FLESHWORKS does not hurt me. Too shame because I feel that those gentlemen are good musicians. They are just afraid to show that. The production should be better and some songs should be shorter. But everything else is fine. A solid death metal album!

 O téhle mrtvole jsem dlouho nevěděl. Byla uložena v dřevěné rakvi a ležela úplně stranou veškerého dění. Dokonce i ostatní nemrtví se jí stranili. Smrt si ale nevybírá a já jako hrobník jsem musel provést nezbytné ohledání. Otevřel jsem shnilé víko, vyděsil se jejím šklebem a pomalu vytáhl z kostnatých rukou zbrusu nové CD amerických ANGEROT.

 Švédský death metal znovu dobývá svět. Opět vznikají další a další kapely, které ctí staré dobré GRAVE, ENTRAILS, ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, DISMEMBER, CARNAGE. ANGEROT patří mezi ně a nutno rovnou říci, že severské řemeslo zvládají na výbornou. Novinka je plná špíny, chladu a drcení prašivých kostí.



"The Splendid Iniquity" je velmi dobře zvukově ošetřené album. Chřestí se o sto šest, postupy jsou sice známé již několik desítek let, ale komu to vadí? Důležitý je hlavně výsledný dojem, chuť zabíjet hudbou a hromady shnilých mrtvol. Na prvotině ANGEROT najdete úplně vše. Sice nic navíc, ale přesto mě novinka uhranula svojí opravdovostí, silou, nadšením a energií. Pokud uléháte do rakve každý večer s chutí dobýt severské katakomby, tak rozhodně neváhejte. Zklamáni nebudete. Američané přinášejí přesně ten druh smrtícího koktejlu, který mám tolik rád. Namíchána nám byla temnota, chlad a smrt. Co si přát víc? Old school Swedish death metal forever! Amen!

ANGEROT nám na své novince jasně ukazují, že dobrý švédský death metal se dá hrát i v USA. Albem jsem od začátku až do konce absolutně stržen a pohlcen. Je jako přitažlivý magnet, plný utrpení, chladu a smrti. Američané umí krásně balancovat mezi rychlými a pomalými pasážemi. Líbí se mi jak zvuk, tak jednotlivé nápady. Nahrávka působí zvláštním smutným dojmem. Evokuje ve mně vzpomínky na poslední věci člověka. Jsme prach a v prach se obrátíme! Jako celek je CD krásnou ukázkou velmi dobrého řemesla, zběsilosti a šílenství. Pokud máte rádi devadesátá léta v jejich nejlepší formě, tak budete určitě spokojeni. "The Splendid Iniquity" působí jako seknutí sekyrou přímo do hlavy. Rozpůlí vás na dvě části. Jedna bude pařit jako o závod a druhá spočine v nekonečném utrpení. Švédský death metal z USA, který vás spálí mrazem! Vynikající záležitost.

ANGEROT shows us on their new album how good is Swedish death metal played in USA. This album broke me down and I was absolutely absorbed since the begging. It is like a magnet, full of misery, cold and death. American maniacs knows how to balance between fast and slow passages. I like the sound and the ideas. This record feels interestingly sad. It evokes memories of last possessions of man. We are just an ash and we will be ash again! As a whole this CD is a nice example of good work, furiousness and craziness. If you like the 90th in its best from you will be satisfied with this album. "The Splendid Iniquity" feels like a cut of axe right into a head. It will cut you in half. A few questions - interview with death metal band from USA - ANGEROT.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.? 

Angerot was formed in 2017 after our previous project disbanded. Josh, Jason and I moved on and formed Angerot. However, the three of us have been in bands together consistently since the late 80s/early 90s. Angerot has a roots Death Metal focus, primarily on the 90s Stockholm sound. 


Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering? 

We have come into a groove on our recording methods in the last 10 years or so. We have done drum tracking locally with Mike Dresch at Cathouse Studios, then we track everything else in our own studio (Underground Sound). This time around we reach past that a bit to work with Tomas Skigsberg for mastering. He invented the sound that we love, so we went to the source. As far as mastering, we all compared the albums we live from the few years and who mastered them...and decided on Brad Boatright. 

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)? 

We are attacking all medium with this. We are working with Black Market Metal for all CD related sales with this album. We are handling all digital sales as well as doing vinyl on our end. We are releasing two colorways, trans green & clear, out of the gate. We also have some very cool plans for a limited vinyl release with some very cool perks for later this summer. 


Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with? 

I do all the lyrics (C.R. Petit). I tend to write in blocks. I will cover 3-5 songs at a time, so with this album I decided to vaguely hold to one concept. There are a couple songs on there that are outside that fold, but for the most part the entire album tells a story. Its It's a story of promise, lies, and revelations. 

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important? 

We hired Chistophe Szpajdel to work up the logo. I have worked with him in the past, and he is a great listener. We wanted a logo with a very 90s vibe to it. As far as marketing, I do the vast majority of all that. Social networks are huge….sadly. I can't say that I am a huge fan. I miss the days before everything was Facebook. Bands and musicians were far more aggressive and DIY. 


Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you? 

We spoke with several labels who were interested in releasing the album. We collectively choose Black Market Metal Label. We have all been down the label road several times. Times are so different now from when we first started...we weren't even sure we were going to partner with a label at all. We spoke to several labels and really liked the approach Black Market Metal had. We want to be respected as a band that works hard, even though it is a different approach than touring non stop. They understand us and know we will do our best to bring wars to our music. 

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration? 

The 90s, when it was all brand new...and fresh. When bands wrote free from trends and expectations. We try to live that same mindset all these years later. We have an obvious influence, but we don't feel bound by it. We write was come naturally. 


Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response? 

We sent to a few and had 5-6 responses within a few days. Some small and some large. We were pleased with the immediate response and eagerness from labels to release the album. I really had no expectations on it, but their replies were all very positive and interest was high. We spoke to each of them and decided on Black Market Metal. This day and age, bigger isn't always better. It feels great to be working with Black Market Metal, send an email and get a reply. Communication is important and I feel we have a solid relationship. 


How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best? 

Angerot is fresh...we only have a few shows under our belt with some great ones upcoming. We are playing with Lamb of God and Behemoth in May and that promises to be great. We are very selective on what we do as we have family and career that hold priorities. Any show can be killer if the vibe is there. 100 people or 10,000...of the vibe is right the show rules. 

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band? 

We set out with a pretty simple goal, to make the best album we could and work with best people we could in doing so. Touring was never talked about. It is a crazy time for touring bands and money just isn't there. So we are taking a different approach and attacking this album differently. We are going to try and it to as many ears as we can by the channels we have available. We have already began the writing process for the next album. We will be taking what we have learned with this first release and applying it ten fold to the next one. We have another great cast of friends we will be working with on it as well. We look forward to seeing how people resonate with our debut and take it from there.

A few questions - interview with death metal band from USA - REPLICANT.

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play , etc.? 

Replicant is comprised of Pete Lloyd on guitar, Mike Goncalves on bass and vocals, and Matt Thompson on drums. Replicant was started sometime in 2014 from the ashes of now-defunct NYDM project Painted Rust (https://paintedrust.bandcamp.com). Pete and Mike met in the aforementioned band and wanted to continue making ugly, dissonant death metal together. After composing a few tracks, we got around to recruiting Pete’s bandmate from Dystrophy, Matt on drums, and our friend TG (Death Fortress, Lux Absentia) on bass. We jammed for about a year before releasing our debut four-song EP “Worthless Desires” on PRC Music in 2016. During this era Mike was in between playing guitar as well as doing vocals or solely handling vocals—it wasn’t until TG’s departure when Mike decided to take on bass and vocals, continuing as a three-piece.

Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?

“Negative Life” was tracked and mixed at our rehearsal studio in New Brunswick, New Jersey with our guitarist Pete (One Stone Recording) handling all of the engineering. We started tracking drums in August 2017 and throughout the fall we tracked the rest of the instruments, effects, and vocals. Everything was mastered in December with Alan Douches.

How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?

PRC Music produced 1000 copies of “Negative Life” on jewel case CD, while we delivered our digital streams and downloads via Bandcamp.

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with? 

Mike conjures all the lyrics. The lyrics in “Negative Life” deal with a general distaste for existence—whether in this carnal state or beyond. A lot of the themes deal with ennui, depression, and frustrated rage. The words attempt to summon abstract emotions and are intended for a cathartic delivery while accompanying the riffs.

Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important? 

Most of the graphics (including the logo) are handled by Mike, with the exception of the cover painting for “Negative Life” which is an original work by our close friend Dan Rivera. Rivera’s work is also used on the cover of Dystrophy’s “Wretched Host”. The visual is an extension of the music, so it is absolutely important to have them complement one another. Rivera’s painting fit the music so well that we had to use it. Social networking plays a major role in people listening to us and getting us on shows in our area.

Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?

PRC Music in Canada put out our discography so far. The owner, Remi is a fan of our music and we are grateful he took a chance on us with the first release and with “Negative Life”. It’s a small label and it’s handled more like a family. We’re in contact with most of the artists on the label and have met a good portion of them when we went up to Quebec to play a few shows. We’ll be going back up there for the Metalbash in Montreal in May.

Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?

We’re all inspired by different things individually. Some influences for us are Gorguts, Negativa, Demilich, Human Remains, Ripping Corpse, Demonacy, Morbid Angel, Blut Aus Nord, Deathspell Omega, and Bolt Thrower. On the less abrasive side we dig Cocteau Twins, Thin Lizzy, and Pink Floyd.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?

No, we delivered the record straight to PRC Music.

How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best? 

At the moment Replicant has about 30 gigs under our belt, from basements to clubs in Rimouski, QC to Richmond, VA and a few spots in between. We appreciate the personal setting of a house/basement show, but we also like that heavy and crushing stage sound at a club. It’s hard to choose sometimes, but we like to play anywhere. It doesn’t matter. One of our favorite performances was opening for Dying Fetus at Saint VItus Bar in Brooklyn, mainly because there were so many people who hadn’t heard us there.

What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?

We are going to perform some Canadian dates this August and are planning to record another batch of songs this summer. We want to keep making weird and angry music and keep playing shows.

TYPHONIAN - Beneath the Streams of Life

 Jdu pomalu a na zádech s sebou táhnu tíhu celého světa. Krok za krokem, s těžkou hlavou. Jako bájný Sisyfos. Občas na člověka padne tíseň a chce být sám. Rozjímat, přemýšlet, navštívit opuštěná místa s temným otiskem. Náhrobky znovu žalují. Vyprávějí dlouhé táhlé příběhy o chladu a smrti. Jsem naladěn na záhrobí.

 Deska death/doomových TYPHONIAN mě provázela na mých toulkách dlouhou dobu. Měl jsem pocit, že svíce pomalu dohořívá a čeká mě jen temnota. Starodávný death metal smíchaný s doomem. Pokrm všech samotářů. Tentokrát v podobě, ve které mě dostal na dlouhou dobu na onen svět i na kolena.



Na "Beneath the Streams of Life" jsou sice přehrávány již známé postupy, ale je to činěno s uvěřitelným odhodláním. Opravdu cítím, že jsem sám v nekonečných katakombách. Kolem leží zetlelá těla dávno mrtvých kněží. Popraskané lebky, oděv, zarostlý v plesnivých ostatcích. Každý mi vypráví svůj příběh a hudba TYPHONIAN je k tomu vynikajícím podkresem. Hledám u hudby opravdovost a u Němců ji nalézám. Oceňuji chladný zvuk, atmosféru beznaděje i syrové nálady uložené na desce i ve starých hrobech. Hraje se zde klasický, tradiční death metal, nasáklý doomem a smrtí. Pro mé nekonečné toulky po hřbitovech muzika doslova stvořená. Nahlodáván jsem postupně, přetvořen pro dřevěnou rakev spouštějící se do studené země. Vynikající a chorobný zážitek!

"Beneath the Streams of Life" je krásně morbidní vzpomínkou na staré death/doom metalové časy. Jednotlivé songy mají obrovskou sílu a musely být nahrávány v tom nejhlubším podzemí. Svět se sice dneska točí už úplně jinak, ale pro nás pamětníky, se jedná o velmi příjemný zážitek. Riffy jsou ostré jako katova sekyra, hlas vytažený odněkud z močálu a atmosféra připomíná poslední odsouzencovy minuty před popravou. Tenhle znovu nahraný výlet do historie se vydařil velmi dobře. Takhle nějak má znít reálný, poctivý death/doom metal. Plesnivě, krutě, morbidně. A teď už mě prosím nechte, musím se zavřít do své kobky, obětovat temným silám a rouhat se bohům. Budou mi k tomu hrát TYPHONIAN! Totální old school death/doom metalový masakr. Obraťte všechny kříže a vítejte v zemi nemrtvých!

"Beneath the Streams of Life" is a pretty nice morbid memory of old death/doom metal times. Every song is very powerfull and was recorded in the deepest underground. The world is other today, but for us survivols this is a very pleasant experience. The riffs are shark like axe, the voice coming from the marsh and the atmosphere reminds the last convict´s minutes before execution. This trip to the history succeeds very well. This is the real, honest death/doom metal. Rotten, cruel, morbid. And now, let me be, I close myself to my cell, I will sacrifice to the dark forces and blaspheme against Gods. And I will listen to TYPHONIAN! Total old school death/doom metal massacre! Turn all crosses and welcome in the land of Undeath!

 Existence temné energie byla právě potvrzena. Záporná gravitace, negace všeho dobrého. Černá díra ve vesmíru, ve které vše zmizí. Svět bez svědomí, zbyly jen oči pro pláč. Smrt je jen pojem, nezbytný časový úsek pro transformaci. Zlo a temnota nás všechny nakonec pohltí. U poslechu nové desky amerických REPLICANT to platí stonásobně. 

REPLICANT jakoby ukovali slitinu z nových ingrediencí. Jako základ si vzali tvorbu IMMOLATION, GORGUTS, ULCERATE, PSYOPUS, DEMILICH, přidali přísady známé u DEATHSPELL OMEGA, vše posvětili pekelným ohněm a technicky divokými postupy. Výsledkem je dílo, které je temné a ostré zároveň. 



Osobně jsem velmi rád, že se kapela vyhnula zbytečným ekvilibristikám. Skladby jsou sice technické, lehce chaotické, ale mají jasný cíl a záměr. Zničit vás. REPLICANT stvořili desku, která připomíná útok temné energie z vesmíru. Je v mnohém neuchopitelná a náročná na poslech. Ocení ji především fanoušci, kteří u hudby rádi přemýšlejí a nedají na první, složitý dojem. Baví mě odkrývat jednotlivé vrstvy songů, líbí se mi hmatatelný tlak, obdivuji čitelný zvuk i zajímavý obal. "Negative Life" je dílem, které k nám bylo sesláno z jiné galaxie. O tom, že černá energie nakonec zvítězí není pochyb. REPLICANT jsou toho jasným důkazem. Vynikající technický death metal, který vás vezme na šílený a temný výlet do jiné dimenze!

The existence of dark energy has just been confirmed. Negative gravity, negation of all good. A black hole in the universe, in which everything will disappear. A world without conscience, only the eyes for crying. Death is just a concept, the necessary time for transformation. Evil and darkness will all eventually devour us. In listening to the new album American Replicant i tis valid hundredfold.

REPLICANT as if they were killing an alloy of new ingredients. Based on IMMOLATION, GORGUTS, ULCERATE, PSYOPUS, DEMILICH, they added ingredients known from DEATHSPELL OMEGA, all consecrated by hellfire and technically wild practices. The result is a work that is dark and sharp at the same time.

Personally, I'm very happy that the band avoided unnecessary equilibrium. Tracks are technical, slightly chaotic, but have a clear aim and intent: To Destroy you. REPLICANT created a record that reminds of the attack of dark energy from space. It is in many ways impractical and difficult to listen to. It will be appreciated especially by fans who like to think about music and do not give the first, complicated impression. I enjoy having to uncover individual layers of songs, I like tangible pressure, I admire the audible sound and interesting cover. "Negative Life" is a work that was sent to us from another galaxy. The fact that black energy eventually wins is no doubt. REPLICANT is clear evidence. Outstanding technical death metal that takes you on a crazy and dark trip to another dimension!

"Proč nejedeme autem, tati?": ptá se mě někde kolem Berouna dcerka. Sedí se synem přede mnou v autobuse a nechápe. Nechci ji strašit. Tak si něco milosrdného vymyslím (nebo to spíš řeknu opatrně, abych je nevyplašil). Důvodem je moje srdce a oči. To je furt dokola - hlídej se, ber ty prášky, nech se operovat. Jenže já nemám rád nemocnice a doktory. Taky není čas. Teď se musím vydat po stopách sebe sama.

A tak taháme batohy, přestupujeme na Zličíně na metro. Já a mé děti. Po jedenácti a půl letech necháváme paní Asphyxovou doma, aby si odpočinula (celé Velikonoce uklízí). Další autobus a už na mě jde nostalgická. Hele, tady jsem chodil na střední školu. Děti nechápou, muzika v telefonech je přednější. Aspoň, že tam mají metal. Samy od sebe. Spokojeně se usmívám. Babičku s autem jsme odvolali, to dojdeme, vždyť je to kousek.

Na každém rohu vidím své kamarády. Z mládí, z mých příběhů. Tady jsem hodil kdysi šavli, zde potkal jednu moc hezkou holku. Potomkům pořád vyprávím. Musím všechno vytřídit, táta přece musí být v jejích očích ten dobrý a lepšími se děláme všichni a rádi, tak to ani moc nebolí. Jen mám na tváři pořád takový ten zasněný úsměv, který přijde prckům vtipnej. 

Maměnka moje, dáma v letech. Objímání, návrat ztraceného syna a krásné babičkovské povinnosti. Jak se máte, co děláte, co škola. Bokem pak, co mi je, že jsme nepřijeli autem. Mámy tohle vycítí a já lhát neumím. Mluví mi do duše, má pravdu úplně ve všem. Dáme si radši oběd, jo? Zavrčím. Nerad se bavím sám o sobě. 

Mám jedno jediné přání. Vyrazit do slunečného odpoledne a projít si cesty, kterými jsem chodil na druhý stupeň základní školy. Zamířit na Staré město, prolézt všechny uličky. Je v tom samozřejmě kus nostalgie, ale já se do Boleslavi dostanu málokdy. Míříme spíš do Jizerek, tam je větší klid a příroda. A na chalupě jsem pokaždé zažil jen to hezké, to o mém rodném městě tvrdit nemůžu.

Opravené budovy, upravené trávníky. Jaro v rozpuku, prázdné ulice. Spousta změn, ale hospoda U Hymrů pořád stojí, škola taky. Když jdu ale za rybářskou baštu, tak se mi rozklepou kolena i ruce. Koukám do okna, kam jsem vždycky lezl za svoji první holkou. Už tu není ani hromosvod. Vlezl jsem na dvůr, utekl od mámy i dětí. Stojím tu sám a ještě jednou prosím za odpuštění. V úzkých kamenných uličkách je otisknuto velké množství vzpomínek. Už všechno přebolelo, ale stejně. Znáte to.

 "Tatíííí, prší, půjdeme si někam sednout?": dostihne mě synátor a já všechny ještě přemluvím ke kapucám a deštníkům. Musím na hrad, na "naší zídku". Takových let, nekonečně mnoho. Tady jsem všude řešil metal, holky. Hele, Zlatá kovadlina, tahle hospoda ještě funguje. Děti ví, že cukrárna nebude. Bude pivo. A rovnou zelený, velikonoční. Musím se srovnat, dát do kupy. Ale jde to pomalu. Pít musím oběma rukama, jednou bych všechno vycintal.

Ještě jedno. Tak jo. Poháry pro děti, teplé ovoce, hořící zmrzlina. Vždycky jsem byl tatínek - pro děti všechno, já vím, že je rozmazluju, ale ony mě to taky všechno vrací. Panenka princezna hltá mé vyprávění. Všechno kořením, aby je to zajímalo. Támhle bydlela zrzavá paní ředitelka, která chodila v květovaném plášti a Sovětský svaz byl pro ní všechno. Máma musela do školy, protože jsem se na Prvního máje poblil v průvodu. Prej provokace. U internacionály. Tatíííí, co holky, co kamarádi, vyprávěj. Jsem ve svém živlu.

 Máma chvílemi slzí, dojímají ji některé vzpomínky. Potkáváme jedny známé. Jakube, jsi to ty? Pamatuju tě jako caparta. Boleslav byla moje město, znám ho nazpaměť. Každý kout. Prší a já všechny zatáhnu ještě na hřbitov, kam jsem s Káčou kdysi chodil dělat lásku. Nikomu to neříkám, ale před očima se mi promítá dlouhý film. Zmokneme. 

Koupím v Kauflandu nějaká piva, Klášter, jasně. Mámě víno a sedíme doma. Zhasneme a chtějí po mě strašidelné příběhy. Vezmu je hezky od podlahy a malá se bojí dojít vyčůrat. Babička mě pořád plísní, abych nepřeháněl. Upovídáme se až do spánku. Nebo vlastně jinak, všichni spí a já se převaluji.

 Ševelí mi srdce. Mění rytmus. Jsem ve stavu polo bdění, polo spánek. Nevěřím na duchy, ale přijdou za mnou. Tady jsme kdysi s partou pořádali pitky, támhle vzadu jsem, když nebyli naši doma, trávil krásné chvíle se svoji holkou. Stojí tu vedle sebe. Všichni. Mí metaloví kamarádi. Nemluvíme, přesto si rozumíme. Vidím, jak se usmívají. Motá se mi hlava, asi tlak, ale cítím je. Podávají mi pivo. Ráno se probudím první, vytáhne mě slunce a pot.

Musím ven, jde se mnou jen dcerka. Malej prý pomůže babičce s obědem. Chodíme po sídlišti a já jí ukazuju stopy sebe sama. Ke každému betonovému soklu mám svůj příběh. Dojdeme až k rokli. Musím si sednout na lavičku. Dělám, že je mi vedro, ale je toho na mě moc. Podívejte kamarádi, já vím, zbyl jsem tu na světě bez vás. Mám rodinu, krásné děti. Zapomenout na vás nemůžu, vaše odchody byly moc bolestivé, jsou ve mě asi už navěky, ale dnes zbylo jen to dobré, víte?

 Křehulinka objevila mládě králíka. Běhá za ním po louce. Na začátku Radouče. Zasním se, ještě, že musíme na oběd. "Tatínku, tady si se líbal s mámou?": ptá se na můj zasněný pohled tahle malá ženská - kopie manželky. Pohladím ji po vlasech a kývnu na souhlas. Kdybys jen věděla. 

Oběd jako vždy skvělý, následuje dlouhá procházka kolem Jizery. Tudy jsme chodili na nádraží, na naše metalový výlety. Pořád se zastavuji, fotím si, mnohé se změnilo, ale třeba překážková dráha pro koně v Podlázkách zůstala. Děti chtějí zase do hospody, a protože přijdou velký mraky, jdeme. Opakujeme zelené pivo, zmrzliny. Srším vtipem, tatínek v dobré náladě. Usínám doma hned, jak dorazíme. Spím jako Jezule.

Ráno vyšleháme holky, užijeme si neskutečně jejich jekot pro zdraví, dostaneme spoustu dobrot a musíme na autobus. Prckové nadšení, tati, Boleslav je tak krásný město. Bylo to úžasný. Zamáváme komínu, rozloučím se se svým rodným krajem. Chtěl jsem se vydat po stopách sebe sama. Ukázat dětem MOJE město, moje dětství, užít si. Aby viděly babičku a spoustu radosti. Aby měly jednou hezký vzpomínky.

Když jsem viděl úsměvy na jejich tvářích a slyšel nadšené výkřiky, když doma vyprávěly ženě, věděl jsem, že se výlet po stopách sebe sama vydařil. Na kořeny se nesmí zapomínat. Jsou naší součástí, ať už byly jakékoliv.

 Čekala jsi na mě hned u vchodu do hřbitova. Zahalená v kápi, roztoužená a zároveň chladná jako čerstvý hrob. Podala si mi kostnatou ruku a vyzvala mě k tanci. Nemohl jsem opět jinak a tvoji nabídku přijal. Tanec se samotnou Smrtí se přeci neodmítá.

 Tančíme na vašich hrobech, lámeme kosti, drtíme ostatky na prach. Po nás zbude jen potopa a zmrzlá zem. Smrt si nevybírá a švédský death metal také ne. DEMONICAL jsou opět zde. Znovuzrození, s novým vokalistou Alexanderem Högbomem. Šílení, divocí jako dřív. Přesto trošku jiní - více melodičtí, chladnější, mrazivější.



Prvních několik poslechů jsem chtěl album "Chaos Manifesto" proklít a zatratit. Ještě, že jsem tak neučinil. Deska vyrostla až po delší době. DEMONICAL jsou letos trošku jiní, než jsme zvyklí. Více se soustředili na strukturu skladeb, dodali více melodií a jejich skladby jsou i přes svoji délku naléhavější. Jedná se ale jen o lehký vývoj v rámci klasického švédského death metalu. Songy jsou přívětivější, přesto si pánové ponechali svůj jasný rukopis, neurvalost, rebelii, syrovost a temnotu. DEMONICAL nejsou kapelou, která by objevovala nové. Spíše se soustředí na různé tradiční, klasické způsoby zabíjení hudbou. Letos si zachovali svoji tvář, přesto jsou lehce odlišní. Osobně se mi tento směr líbí a užívám si ho stejně jako v úvodu zmíněný tanec se Smrtí. Švédští bardi mají ten správný cit pro záhrobní záležitosti. Nové album je toho jasným důkazem. Chladný, temný a melodický švédský death metal, u kterého shnijete zaživa! Velmi dobře!

During the first few listenings, I wanted to curse and condemn the new album "Chaos Manifesto". I am glad that I finally didn’t do this. The record has started to grow up after the longer time. This year DEMONICAL is a bit different than we were used to. Currently, they were more focused on the structure of the songs, added more melodies, and their songs are more urgent despite their length. But this is still a slight development within the frame of classical Swedish death metal. Despite the tracks are milder, the musicians retain their own clear handwriting, rebellion, brutality, rawness and darkness. DEMONICAL is not a band that would discover something new. Rather, they focus on various traditional, classic ways of killing by their music. This year they have retained their face, but still they are slightly different. Personally, I like this direction and enjoy it, just like the dance with the Death mentioned in the introduction. The Swedish bards have the right feeling for the beyond the grave things. The new album is clear evidence of this. Cold, dark and melodic Swedish death metal, for which you rot alive! Very good!
