Temné myšlenky, které vyplují na povrch jako těla utopenců. Chlad, bolest, beznaděj a taky vztek, protože proti osudu se nedá bojovat. Stojím u řeky Styx a přemýšlím, jestli zaplatit. Už nastal čas? Nakonec zvítězí zvědavost. Dávám Cháronovi nové album legendárních amerických death metalistů INCANTATION. Dávno vím, že zlo je nekonečné, protože ďábel neuznává pravidla. Houpeme se do rytmu a nasáváme ponurou a děsivou atmosféru. Hudba skončí, já vstoupím na onen svět a musím poslech neustále dokola opakovat.

"Unholy Deification" je totiž přesně nahrávkou, kterou jsem od téhle smečky chtěl. Jako dlouholetý fanoušek, který sleduje jejich cestu, jsem si jejich poslední počiny velmi oblíbil. Mají v sobě vždy něco magického, démonického. Novinka je dalším pokračováním temných ozvěn z podsvětí.

Každý opravdový death metalový rituál by měl otevřít dveře do jiné, děsivější dimenze. INCANTATION tohle umí stále na výbornou. V kapele se sešli skvělí muzikanti, kteří nejen, že perfektně rozumí svému řemeslu, ale dávají hudbě i něco navíc. Srdce, odhodlání, opravdovost. Eliran Kantor namaloval velmi zajímavý obal, který jsem musel mít ihned doma v podobě trika. I samotné nosiče (vychází na kazetě, vinylu i CD) jsou krásné sběratelské trofeje. Tohle je zkrátka hudba pro staré, poctivé fanoušky, pro lidi, kteří stejně jako kapela věří v absolutní temnotu. Desku jsem poslouchal převážně v noci, když byly mraky nízko. Měl jsem pocit, že se ke mě plazí jedovatí hadi. Pravdou je, že skladby v sobě obsahují velké množství prudkého jedu, vzteku, takové té pradávné pudové, primitivní nenávisti, kterou mám v muzice tolik rád. Když projdete přes bránu, na onen svět, tak máte několik možností. Můžete se rozpadnout v prach, můžete navěky trpět a nebo poslouchat desky, jako je "Unholy Deification". INCANTATION patří hluboko pod zem, do studených a smradlavých katakomb, do kobek, ve kterých leží prokletí. Kapela má svůj vlastní, nezaměnitelný rukopis, originální výraz, který neustále vyvíjí a brousí k dokonalosti. Temné myšlenky, které vyplují na povrch jako těla utopenců. "Unholy Deification" is exactly the record I wanted from this pack. As a longtime fan who has followed their journey, I have grown to love their latest effort. They always have something magical, demonic about them. This new release is another continuation of the dark echoes from the underworld.

Every true death metal ritual should open the door to another, more terrifying dimension. INCANTATION still does this perfectly. The band has gathered great musicians who not only understand their craft perfectly, but also give something extra to the music. Heart, commitment, sincerity. Eliran Kantor drew a very interesting cover, which I had to have at home immediately in the form of a t-shirt. Even the recordings themselves (released on cassette, vinyl and CD) are beautiful collector's trophies. In short, this is music for old, honest fans, for people who, like the band, believe in absolute darkness. I listened to the album mostly at night when the clouds were low. I felt like poisonous snakes were crawling towards me. The truth is that the songs contain a great deal of violent venom, rage, the kind of ancient instinctive, primitive hatred that I love so much in music. When you go through the gate, to the other world, you have several options. You can disintegrate into dust, you can suffer forever, or you can listen to records like "Unholy Deification". INCANTATION belongs deep underground, in the cold and stinking catacombs, in the dungeons where the curse lies. The band has its own unmistakable signature, an original expression that it is constantly evolving and honing to perfection. Dark thoughts that float to the surface like the bodies of drowned men.
