Zatím jsem o chrámu hluboko v lesích slyšel jen z vyprávění. Nastal čas, abych se do něj konečně vypravil. Legendy nelhaly. Zjevil se znenadání, zahalen do mlhy, záhadný a tajemný. Stejně jako nová deska chilských SOULROT, kteří zde museli nahrát svoji novou desku "Victims of Spiritual Warfare". Již od prvního poslechu si totiž připadám, že jsem uprostřed staré katedrály, ve které se odehrávaly temné obřady k vyvolání zlých sil. Stačí zapnout play a najednou se ocitnete v zemi, kde už dávno vládnou nemrtví.
Měl jsem rád již jejich první album "Nameless Hideous Manifestations" (2017), které bylo až po okraj také narvané staroškolským death metalem. Hroby jsou znovu otevřeny, těla exhumována a rakve rozsekány na malé kousky. Chilané nám i letos dodali pořádně shnilý koktejl.
Na "Victims of Spiritual Warfare" se kapela opět volně inspiruje podsvětím a kapelami jako ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, ASPHYX, AUTOPSY, NIRVANA 2002, CARCASS, DEMIGOD, TRAUMATIC, CARNAGE, BOLT THROWER, DISMEMBER. Chřestí se pytlem plným kostí, útočí se ze zálohy. Zvuk je parádně prašivý, motivy ve skladbách shnilé a vokál chorobný. Vše je v absolutním pořádku a všichni, kdo mají rádi starý death metal, by mohli být spokojeni. SOULROT navíc přidávají kus sebe samého a zvou vás na výlet do tajného chrámu bolesti s takovou razancí, že nelze odolat. Songy řežou, sekají, ale zároveň chladí jako atmosféra v opuštěné hrobce. Chodby podsvětí jsou nekonečné, stačí jen vstoupit a nechat se pohltit. Mě se to stalo, nová deska mi ihned pronikla do žil a ještě dlouho tam zůstane. Píšu to pořád, není nad to, pořádně přidat hlasitost, zhasnout všechna světla a zúčastnit se obřadu s názvem "Victims of Spiritual Warfare". Pánové umí navodit potřebnou atmosféru, předat pestrou paletu mokvajících nálad. Smrt čeká! Staňte se také nemrtvými!

On the album “Victims of Spiritual Warfare” the band is once again freely inspired by the underworld and bands such as ENTOMBED, NIHILIST, ASPHYX, AUTOPSY, NIRVANA 2002, CARCASS, DEMIGOD, TRAUMATIC, CARNAGE, BOLT THROWER, DISMEMBER. The album sounds like shaking a sack full of bones, attacking from ambus. THe sound is very dusty, the motifs in the songs are rotten and the vocals are sick. Everything is perfect and everyone who likes old death metal could be satisfied. In addition, SOULROT add a piece of themselves and invites you on a trip to the secret temple of pain with such force that it cannot be resisted. The songs cut, chop but at the same time cool like the atmosphere in an abandoned tomb. The corridors of the underworld are endless, just enter and be swallowed. It happened to me, the new record immediately penetrated my veins and will stay there for a long time. I write it all the time, it's not over, to add volume properly, turn off all the lights and take part in a ceremony called “Victims of Spiritual Warfare”. Gentlemen can create the necessary atmosphere, convey a diverse range of soaking moods. Death awaits! Become undead too!
