Chodil jsem kolem dlouhá léta, ale nikdy jsem nevstoupil dovnitř. Přesto mě něčím lákala. Byla vyrobena ze starého kamene a bylo znát, že ji postavili mistři ve svém oboru. Nakonec zvědavost zvítězila. Jednoho dne jsem zase rozmlouval s nemrtvými a musel jsem to udělat. Otevřel jsem rezavé dveře, po kterých se jako jedovatí hadi proplétali popínavé rostliny. Měl jsem pocit, že jsem několikrát zemřel a znovu se narodil. Hrobka byla otevřena a vydala své svědectví.
Všechno se rozpadlo v prach, až na jedno tělo. Zpuchřelé kosti, lebka hledící tiše do tmy. Jenže klid byl jen zdánlivý. Odněkud z podzemí, z dávno opuštěných katakomb, se ozvaly první tóny nové desky španělských ATARAXY. Najednou jsem pochopil. Pochopil jsem, o čem je absolutní tma.
Z nového alba "The Last Mirror" je cítit zatuchlina starých hrobů. Smrt je při poslechu hodně blízko. Jakoby se mě dotýkala svojí kostnatou rukou. Vnímám skvělý, chladný a tajemný zvuk (Javi Félez - Recording, Mixing, Greg Chandler - Mastering), s chutí a obdivem se dívám na velmi povedený obal (Rodrigo Pereira Salvatierra). Mám rád starý prašivý death metal obestřený tmou, zamotaný do pavučin. Líbí se mi doomové nálady, uctívám stejné modly jako kapela. Deska se poslouchá velmi dobře. V některých momentech lze přirovnat k tvorbě třeba takových ASPHYX, HOODED MENACE, ABHORRENCE, BINAH, GOREPHILIA, AUTOPSY, DESECRESY, CONVULSE, BOLT THROWER, KRYPTS, DECOMPOSED. Nahrávka je velmi emotivní, protkaná spoustou zajímavých momentů. Nechybí samozřejmě smutek, napětí, tlak a energie. Zároveň skladby nepostrádají potřebnou agresivitu. Pokud stejně jako já rádi a často navštěvujete staré opuštěné hřbitovy, určitě si nové ATARAXY poslechněte. Potom pochopíte, o čem jsem psal v úvodu dnešního článku. Budete mezi prsty prosévat prach svých předků a přemýšlet o přízracích z onoho světa. Přidejte hlasitost a démoni vystoupí z mlhy. Možná vám prokousnou hrdlo, možná vás pohřbí zaživa. Záleží jen na vás. Osobně jsem kouzlu "The Last Mirror" s chutí podlehl a nechal se převést přes řeku Styx. Skvělý počin! Death metal z mrazivé říše stínů!

I've walked by for years but never stepped inside. Still, I was attracted to it. It was made of old stone and you could tell it was built by masters in their field. In the end, curiosity won out. One day I was talking to the undead again and I had to do it. I opened the rusty door, where creepers slithered like poisonous snakes. I felt like I had died and been reborn several times. The tomb was opened and gave its testimony.
Everything crumbled to dust except one body. Rotted bones, a skull staring silently into the darkness. But the peace was only apparent. From somewhere underground, from the long-abandoned catacombs, came the first notes of the new Spanish ATARAXY album. Suddenly I understood. I understood what absolute darkness was all about.
The new album "The Last Mirror" reeks of the mustiness of old graves. Death is very close when you listen to it. It's like it's touching me with its bony hand. I feel the great, cold, and mysterious sound (Javi Félez - Recording, Mixing, Greg Chandler - Mastering), and I look with taste and admiration at the very hilarious cover (Rodrigo Pereira Salvatierra). I like old dusty death metal covered in darkness, tangled in cobwebs. I like doom moods, I worship the same idols as the band. The album is very easy to listen to. In some moments it can be compared to the work of such bands as ASPHYX, HOODED MENACE, ABHORRENCE, BINAH, GOREPHILIA, AUTOPSY, DESECRESY, CONVULSE, BOLT THROWER, KRYPTS, DECOMPOSED. The recording is very emotional, interwoven with a lot of interesting moments. Of course, there is sadness, tension, pressure, and energy. At the same time, the songs do not lack the necessary aggressiveness. If, like me, you like and often visit old abandoned cemeteries, definitely give the new ATARAXY a listen. Then you will understand what I wrote about in the introduction of today's article. You will sift the dust of your ancestors between your fingers and think about the ghosts of the other world. Turn up the volume and the demons will come out of the fog. Maybe they'll bite your throat, maybe they'll bury you alive. It's up to you. Personally, I willingly succumbed to the spell of The Last Mirror and let myself be transported across the River Styx. Great job! Death metal from the frosty realm of shadows!
