1. září 1939 bylo napadeno Polsko německými vojsky. Ve stejné datum, po 81 letech, na které dnes nikdo již příliš nevzpomíná, vyšlo i nové album moravských maniaků GÖTTERRDÄMMERUNG. Na textech o Druhé světové válce je založena i novinka "Neuschwabenland", která mi už od prvního tónu připomíná thrashovou bleskovou válku. Jsem smeten nekompromisním materiálem, za který by se nemusely stydět ani klasické kapely, které s tímto stylem začínaly. Deska působí jako černobílý dokument. Vidím před sebou přesně do rytmu pochodující dav. Jdou přímo na smrt.

Oproti prvotině "Projekt Riese" z roku 2017 mi připadá novinka údernější, ostřejší i techničtější. Skladby jsou opravdu doslova nasáklé atmosférou války. Uvěřitelné, zběsilé, nabroušené jako bodák, který ti rozpáře břicho.

Kapela prošla personálními změnami a nejvíc znatelná je ta na postu zpěváka. Grinsen má přesně takový ten jedovatý ječák, který je "nepříjemný" a zároveň do songů přesně sedne. Celé album potom působí jako pochod smrti v rytmu SODOM, KREATOR, PROTECTOR, SLAYER. Zkrátka a dobře, stará naštvaná thrash metalová škola se spoustou zajímavých momentů. GÖTTERRDÄMMERUNG si na nic nehrají, útočí přímo, rovnou na komoru. Pro mě osobně je vždy nejvíc důležité, abych z předkládané hudby cítil emoce a při "Neuschwabenland" jsem opravdu přímo uprostřed válečné vřavy. Je znát, že pánové věří tomu co hrají a není to jen skvělé řemeslo, ale i obrovský kus srdce. Navíc se celou nahrávkou vznáší těžko popsatelný chlad a temnota. Takový ten drive, který se podle mého nelze naučit. Muzikanti jej musí mít v sobě. Kolem cesty leží zmrzlé mrtvoly. Domy hoří a nářek raněných je bolestivou kulisou. Městem projela thrash metalová divize GÖTTERRDÄMMERUNG a zanechala po sobě jenom spálenou zemi. Ležím v zákopech a poslouchám "Neuschwabenland". Smrt je tak blízko! Válka! Vynikající deska, která vás přenese na bojiště!

On September 1, 1939, Poland was invaded by German troops. On the same date, after 81 years, which no one remembers much today, a new album of Moravian maniacs GÖTTERRDÄMMERUNG was released. The new album "Neuschwabenland" is also based on texts about the Second World War, which reminds me of the thrash band Blitzkrieg from the first tone. I'm swept away by uncompromising material, which even the classic bands that started with this style would not be ashamed of. The album acts as a black and white document. I see a crowd marching to the exact rhythm of tones. They go straight to death.

Compared to the first "Project Riese" from 2017, the novelty seems more striking, sharper and more technical. The songs are really literally soaked in the atmosphere of war. Believable, furious, sharpened like a bayonet that rips open your stomach.

The band has undergone personnel changes and the most noticeable is the one as a singer. Grinsen has exactly the poisonous scream that is "unpleasant" and at the same time fits exactly into the songs. The whole album then acts as a death march in the rhythm of SODOM, KREATOR, PROTECTOR, SLAYER. In short and well, the old angry thrash metal school with a lot of interesting moments. GÖTTERRDÄMMERUNG attack directly into the chamber. For me personally, is always most important to feel emotions from the presented music, and at "Neuschwabenland" I am really right in the middle of the turmoil of war. It's clear that the gentlemen believe what they play and it's not just a great craft, but also a huge piece of heart. On top, the whole recording is full of hard-to-describe coldness and darkness. The kind of drive that I don't think can be learned. Musicians must have it in them. There are frozen corpses around the road. Houses are on fire and the wailing of the wounded is a painful backdrop. The thrash metal division GÖTTERRDÄMMERUNG drove through the city, leaving only scorched earth. I lie in the trenches and listen to "Neuschwabenland". Death is so close! War! An excellent album that will take you to the battlefield!
