Prozradila ho až zkažená krev, která se objevila ve stoce pod naším domem. Za dveřmi jeho bytu se muselo stát spousta ohavných činů. Takový milý pán, usměvavý a vždy vtipný. Ale za příjemným vzhledem se ukrývala zrůda. Vyšinutá, šílená šelma, která vraždila na potkání. Lednice plná masa, rudé skvrny v koupelně. Mluvil tiše a dlouho nechtěl prozradit, kde všechny pohřbil. Nakonec nás vzal kousek za město, do lesa, kde si jinak hrály děti. Mělké hroby vydaly svědectví a nikdo z nás už nebyl takový jako dřív.

Když mysl člověka zahalí temnota, dějí se různé zlé věci. Když poslouchám novou desku amerických death metalistů DIGYPUS, mám pocit, jako bych se zrovna díval na podobný horor. Vše je zahalené krvavou mlhou. Chladné, ostré riffy, magické melodie, kapela působí jako našeptávači zla. Nahrubo nasekaná tma, špinavá stoka, ve které se převalují zbytky lidských těl. Tohle je hodně ohavný smrtící kov.

Podobně shnilý a mokvající death metal staré školy mám ve velké oblibě. U "Bushmeat" si připadám jako při návštěvě hřbitova, kde jsou na jednotlivých náhrobcích jména jako AUTOPSY, UNDERGANG, VASTUM. DIPYGUS čerpají ze stejných vzorů. Pocházejí z nejhlubšího undergroundu. Nepřinášejí sice nic nového do záhrobí, ale přesvědčilo mě jejich odhodlání, opravdovost. Songy jsou totiž neskutečně uvěřitelné, mají potřebnou morbidní atmosféru. Cítím z nich pach smrti, nasládlý a shnilý. Nevím, jestli jste někdy byli u exhumace starého hrobu, ale nebývá to hezký pohled. S "Bushmeat" se to hodně podobné. Posluchač je stažen do černé hlubiny smradlavého močálu. Každý další krok, každý další poslech, vás stahuje víc a víc do temnoty. Možná jenom nevíte, co se děje za dveřmi vašeho souseda. Proč se jeho návštěvy nikdy nevrací zpět? Vysvětlení najdete pod jeho maskou, někde uvnitř. S DIPYGUS nahlédnete za dveře pocákané krví. Poslouchejte bedlivě, mějte uši nastražené. Za rohem možná stojí i váš vrah. Mokvající, prašivý death metal staré školy, který vás pohřbí zaživa! Absolutní smradlavý, hnilobný masakr! Nemrtví mi zajisté potvrdí. Inferno!

He was betrayed by the rotten blood that appeared in the sewer under our house. There must have been a lot of heinous acts behind the door of his apartment. Such a nice gentleman, smiling and always funny. But behind the pleasant appearance, there was a monster. Mad beast that killed a rat. Fridge full of meat, red stains in the bathroom. He spoke softly and for a long time he did not want to reveal where he buried them all. Eventually he took us just outside the city, to the forest, where the children were otherwise playing. The shallow graves testified, and none of us were as they used to be.

When a person's mind is obscured by darkness, various bad things happen. When I listen to the new album of American death metallers DIGYPUS, I feel like I'm watching a similar horror movie. Everything is shrouded in bloody mist. Cool, sharp riffs, magical melodies, the band acts as whisperers of evil. Roughly chopped darkness, a dirty sewer in which the remains of human bodies roll. This is a very abominable death metal.

Similarly, I like the rotten and soaking death metal of the old school. At "Bushmeat" I feel like visiting a cemetery, where there are names like AUTOPSY, UNDERGANG, VASTUM on individual tombstones. DIPYGUS draw from the same patterns. They come from the deepest underground. They do not bring anything new to the grave, but I was convinced by their determination, their authenticity. The songs are incredibly believable, they have the necessary morbid atmosphere. I smell death, sweet and rotten. I don't know if you've ever been to the exhumation of an old grave, but it's not a pretty sight. It's very similar with "Bushmeat". The listener is drawn into the black depths of a stinky swamp. Every next step, every other listening, draws you more and more into the darkness. Maybe you just don't know what's going on behind your neighbour's door. Why do his visitors never return? You can find the explanation under his mask, somewhere inside. With DIPYGUS, you peek behind a blood-splashed door. Listen carefully, keep your ears ready. Your killer may be around the corner. Wet, dusty old-school death metal that will bury you alive! An absolute stinking, rotting massacre! The undead will surely agree. Inferno!
