Pokaždé, když poslouchám nějakou novou desku, tak si dopředu nečtu žádné informace, dokonce ani promo materiály. Nechám ji na sebe nejdřív jen tak působit, nezatížen předsudky a názory jiných. Poslouchám a přemýšlím, hledám správná slova a zajímají mě hlavně emoce, které na mě dokáže kapela přenést. U DREAM UNENDING mě jako první napadla dvě slova - bolest a osvobození. Zajímavé je, že se mi z jejich světa vůbec nechtělo, raději jsem jen seděl, vnímal, nasával, nechal se unášet. Občas jsem si i četl staré sci-fi knihy a musím rovnou říct, že mě album doslova rozsekalo.
Teprve až potom jsem zjistil, že pod tímto jménem jsou podepsáni Derrick Vella (Tomb Mold) a Justin DeTore (Innumerable Forms). Tentokrát v trošku jiném stavu mysli, než je známe z jejich domovských smeček. Novinka je pro mě něco jako sen, podivný, se spoustou pestře temných nálad.
Základem je pořád v určitých momentech syrový a surový death metal. Jinak by deska mohla zaujmout fanoušky třeba takových ANATHEMA, TIAMAT, MY DYING BRIDE, PARADISE LOST, i starších SCEPTICISM. Těch styčných bodů je možná více, než byste zpočátku slyšeli. "Tide Turns Eternal" je svým způsobem inovativní, progresivní, zároveň si ale zachovává přehlednost a zřetelnost. Oba pánové jsou velmi talentovaní a umí svoje nadání přetavit ve skvělou hudbu. Nahrávka je vyloženě gurmánským zážitkem pro všechny posluchače, kteří u hudby rádi přemýšlejí. Představte si špinavou řeku (možná se jmenuje Styx?), na které se kolébá loďka. Jednou zamíří do země mrtvých, jindy zase cítíte z melodií určitou naději. Jednou jsem sledoval dravce, jak se potácí ve větru. Podobných přirovnání mě napadá samozřejmě velká spousta. A to je pro mě právě důkazem, že se jedná o skvělé album. Dokázalo totiž rozjitřit moji mysl, moje myšlenky létají jako hejna můr kolem světla. O zvuku, obalu, celkovém provedení a produkci, netřeba cokoliv psát. Oba muzikanti jsou natolik zkušení, že je vše v nejlepším pořádku. Ano, pořád si stojím za svým - bolest a osvobození. Atmosférický doom death metal, který vás převeze přes řeku mrtvých!

I listen and think, I look for the right words and I am mainly interested in the emotions that the band can convey to me. At DREAM UNENDING, two words came to my mind first - pain and liberation. It is interesting that I did not want their world at all, I rather just sat, perceived, sucked, let myself be carried away. Sometimes I even read old sci-fi books and I have to say straight away that the album literally cut me open.
Only then did I find out that Derrick Vella (Tomb Mold) and Justin DeTore (Innumerable Forms) were signed under this name. This time in a slightly different state of mind than we know them from their home packs. The novelty for me is something like a dream, strange, with a lot of colourful dark moods.
The basis is still raw and raw death metal at certain moments. Otherwise, the album could attract fans of such ANATHEMA, TIAMAT, MY DYING BRIDE, PARADISE LOST, and older SCEPTICISM. There may be more of those points of contact than you initially heard. "Tide Turns Eternal" is in a way innovative, progressive, but at the same time it retains clarity and clarity. Both gentlemen are very talented and can turn their talents into great music. The recording is purely a gourmet experience for all listeners who like to think about music. Imagine a dirty river (maybe it's called Styx?) Where a boat sways. One day he heads to the land of the dead, another time you feel a certain hope from the melodies. I once watched a predator stagger in the wind. Of course, a lot of such comparisons occur to me. And that is proof to me that this is a great album. It could brighten my mind, my thoughts flying like flocks of moths around the light. There is no need to write anything about sound, packaging, overall design and production. Both musicians are so experienced that everything is fine. Yes, I still stand by myself - pain and liberation. Atmospheric doom death metal that will take you across the river of the dead!
