Otřel nůž od krve a usmál se. Bylo to poprvé za celý obřad. Jinak se plně soustředil. Všichni si nejdřív mysleli, že je to jenom hra. Že se obléknou do kápí, že sepnou ruce do kruhu, že se podívají, jak vypadá nahá mladá dívka. Jenže on to myslel vážně, on opravdu věřil ve zlo. Teď tu stojíme a přemýšlíme, co dál. Někdo začne šeptat neznámá slova. Podivná modlitba, tichý nářek nemrtvých. Pak přijde ten, o kterém se nemluví a symboly nakreslené na zdech začnou hořet.

Black metal (i death metal) v sobě musí mít spalující žár a zároveň musí chladit jako ruka staré mrtvoly. Je prostým faktem, že mám raději tento styl v jeho starší podobě. Líbí se mi, když mě dokáže hudba rozdrásat do krve, když si podupávám do rytmu a moje mysl se ztrácí v temných myšlenkách. Dovolte mi pár slov k novému albu řeckých black metalistů BURIAL HORDES.

Baví mě být ve společnosti nového alba a dívat se do tmy. Užívat si chladnou, plesnivou atmosféru, tolik známou ze starých katakomb. Pokud se vám líbí smečky jako DECIPHER, MAYHEM, CELTIC FROST, INCANTATION, DEATHSPELL OMEGA, GRAVE MIASMA, DEAD CONGREGATION a další tmáři, tak neváhejte ani chvilku. Myslím, že si dáte album několikrát pod tlakem do hlavy a budete se cítit stejně zničení, jako já. Líbí se mi zvuk, obal, celková produkce i provedení. Je hodně znát, že Řekové věří tomu co hrají. Jsou poctiví a opravdoví. Jako pradávní démoni, kteří k nám přicházejí na návštěvu při podobných seancích, jako je ta v úvodu dnešního článku. BURIAL HORDES na to jdou postaru, ale zároveň přidávají nahrubo nasekanou tmu v podobě, v jaké se podává na pohřbech. Ze skladeb je slyšet i určitá melancholie i bolestivé ozvěny ze záhrobí. Během společných setkáních mám neodbytný pocit, že mě někdo sleduje ze stínu. Záblesk nože a v kostech se usadí nekonečný chlad. Smrt vás nakonec vždy dostihne. Obchází kolem a kývá se do rytmu spolu se mnou. Zde, pod starým prokletým kostelem, hluboko pod zemí, zní album "Ruins" nejlépe. Novinku vám mohu jenom doporučit. Naleznete v ní vše potřebné pro poslední věci člověka na tomto světě. Řekům se povedlo přenést do své hudby absolutní tmu. Spalující, mrazivý, black metalový nihilismus!

I enjoy being in the company of the new album and looking into the darkness. Enjoying the cool, musty atmosphere so familiar from the old catacombs. If you like the likes of the likes of DECIPHER, MAYHEM, CELTIC FROST, INCANTATION, DEATHSPELL OMEGA, GRAVE MIASMA, DEAD CONGREGATION and other darkies, don't hesitate a moment. I think you'll put the album under pressure a few times and feel as devastated as I did. I like the sound, the cover, the overall production and the performance. It shows a lot that the Greeks believe in what they are playing. They are honest and genuine. Like the ancient demons that come to visit us in seances like the one at the beginning of today's article. BURIAL HORDES go for it the old-fashioned way, but at the same time they add rough-hewn darkness in the form it's served at funerals. There's a certain melancholy and painful echoes from beyond the grave in the songs. During our gatherings together, I have the insistent feeling that someone is watching me from the shadows. The flash of a knife and an infinite chill settles in my bones. Death always catches up with you in the end. It circles around and sways to the rhythm with me. It's here, under the old cursed church, deep underground, that "Ruins" sounds best. I can only recommend the new album. You'll find everything you need for the last things of man in this world. The Greeks have managed to bring absolute darkness to their music. Burning, frosty, black metal nihilism!
