Znechucen současným světem znovu usedám ke stolu se samotným Satanem. Usmívá se. Má důvod. Mezi lidmi je čím dál tím víc zla a nenávisti. Závisti a krutosti. Veřejné popravy mají znovu zástupy sledujících. Jen jsou pořádány online. Ptám se ho, jak z toho ven. Žádná cesta už dávno neexistuje, zmizelo z nás cokoliv lidského. Potom, zcela beze slov, mi podá do rukou nové album australských tmářů BEYOND MORTAL DREAMS. Kapely, která moc dobře ví, o čem je opravdové peklo.
Důkazem budiž jejich předchozí nahrávky (odkazy na recenze naleznete dole pod dnešním článkem). Nezbývalo mi tedy nic jiného, než znovu zapnout play a nechat se pozvat na morbidní výlet bez konce. Do záhrobí, do absolutní tmy, mezi démony. A to vše za zvuků prvotřídního death metalu zahraného s nadšením a ďábelskou touhou ničit.
Pánové pokračují tam, kde minule přestali. Stále v sobě mají maniakální a bestiální touhu zničit svojí hudbou vše živé, pořád se mi na nich líbí opravdovost, reálnost, uvěřitelnost, autenticita. Samozřejmě, v téhle smečce naleznete jen samé dobré muzikanty, kteří moc dobře vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát - blasfemií nakažený syrový smrtící kov. Troufám si tvrdit, že se jim to povedlo opět na výbornou. Album totiž není jen perfektně zvládnuté po formální stránce (Andy Kite - recording, mastering), ale má v sobě navíc takovou tu těžko definovatelnou černou auru. Skladby v sobě obsahují velké množství tlaku, pradávné energie, nasbírané snad ve starých jeskyních, ve kterých sídlí ty nejdivočejší bestie. Opravdu, je cosi zvířecího, nelidského, co mě stále přitahuje k dalším a dalším poslechům. Fanoušci třeba takových DEAD CONGREGATION, MINTHRAS, CENTURIAN, EXMORTEM, NILE, MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL, IMMOLATION, DEAD CONGREGATION, IMPRECATION mi má slova určitě potvrdí. Nikdy mě nebavilo číst recenze, ve kterých se jen nudně a popisně analyzuje hudba, v tomto případě to snad ani nejde. Buď máte tenhle styl v krvi, potom budete spokojeni, pokud ne, běžte pryč. Nic mezi tím neexistuje. Jednotlivé motivy jsou zde velmi dobře napsané, mají jasnou strukturu, nad kterou jsou potom vystavěny pestré a nihilistické konstrukce. Mě nezbývá než vám nové album "Devastation Hymns" doporučit a poděkovat Satanovi za jeho slova. Znechucen současným světem znovu vkládám album do svého přehrávače. Usmívám se. Mám důvod. Mezi lidmi je čím dál tím víc zla a nenávisti. Závisti a krutosti. BEYOND MORTAL DREAMS se povedlo všechno tohle zhudebnit a vytáhnout na povrch. Temný, divoký, bestiální death metal, u kterého potkáte své vlastní démony! Blasfemie se zde potkává s absolutní tmou a chladem!

Disgusted with the current state of the world, I sit down again at the table with Satan himself. He smiles. He has reason to. There is more and more evil and hatred among people. Envy and cruelty. Public executions once again draw crowds of spectators. Only now they are held online. I ask him how to get out of this. There is no way out anymore; we have lost everything that is human. Then, without a word, he hands me the new album by Australian dark metal band BEYOND MORTAL DREAMS. A band that knows very well what true hell is.
Proof of this can be found in their previous recordings (links to reviews can be found below today's article). So I had no choice but to press play again and let myself be invited on a morbid journey with no end. To the afterlife, to absolute darkness, among demons. And all this to the sounds of first-class death metal played with enthusiasm and a devilish desire to destroy.
The gentlemen continue where they left off last time. They still have a maniacal and beastly desire to destroy everything alive with their music, and I still like their sincerity, realism, credibility, and authenticity. Of course, this pack consists solely of talented musicians who know exactly what they want to play—raw, deadly metal infected with blasphemy. I dare say they have once again succeeded with flying colors. The album is not only perfectly mastered in terms of form (Andy Kite - recording, mastering), but it also has that hard-to-define dark aura. The songs contain a great deal of pressure, ancient energy, perhaps gathered in old caves where the wildest beasts dwell. Indeed, there is something animalistic, inhuman, that keeps drawing me back for more and more listens. Fans of bands such as DEAD CONGREGATION, MINTHRAS, CENTURIAN, EXMORTEM, NILE, MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL, IMMOLATION, DEAD CONGREGATION, and IMPRECATION will certainly agree with me. I've never enjoyed reading reviews that just boringly and descriptively analyze music, and in this case, it's probably not even possible. Either you have this style in your blood, in which case you'll be satisfied, or you don't, in which case you should walk away. There is no middle ground. The individual motifs are very well written, with a clear structure on which colorful and nihilistic constructions are built. I can only recommend the new album "Devastation Hymns" and thank Satan for his words. Disgusted with the current world, I put the album back into my player. I smile. I have a reason. There is more and more evil and hatred among people. Envy and cruelty. BEYOND MORTAL DREAMS has managed to put all this into music and bring it to the surface. Dark, wild, beastly death metal where you will meet your own demons! Blasphemy meets absolute darkness and coldness here!
