Ze staré, kdysi dávno prokleté jeskyně se ozývá řev bestie. Je po staletí krmena lidským masem, bolestí a nenávistí. Jako druh jsme se příliš nezměnili. Stále mezi sebou válčíme, pořád se klaníme dávno padlým modlám. Mučíme nevinné, znásilňujeme těla i mysl, ovládáme druhé a toužíme po moci. Jsou kapely, které dokáží našim hrůzným činům nastavit zrcadlo. Když poslouchám v pořadí třetí dlouhohrající album démonů EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY z Chicaga, tak si připadám jako na nějaké zvrácené černé mši. Kříže jsou obráceny směrem dolů, svěcená voda má barvu krve a kněz se jedovatě usmívá.

Novinka má podmanivě temnou a chladnou atmosféru. Death metal v podání těchto maniaků je velmi krutý, ošklivý, nechutný, jako ty nejhnusnější lidské myšlenky. Připadám si při poslechu jako bych se procházel morbidní death metalovou galerií smrti. V jednotlivých expozicích jsou nainstalována zohavená těla v různém stádiu rozkladu. Oběšení, zastřelení, popravení, pitvaní zaživa. Pokud máte rádi hudbu, která vám dokáže vystřelit mozek z hlavy, potom jste zde správně. Bestie se znovu probudila!

Tahle smečka je složena ze samých zkušených muzikantů (OPPRESSOR), kteří moc dobře vědí, co a jak chtějí hrát. Blasfemický, surový death metal, který vás přikove na zeď. Skladby jsou napsány s pradávnou vášní a touhou zabíjet. Kapela vzešla z toho nejhlubšího podzemí, s ničím se moc nepáře, je nekompromisní, má velmi brutální vokál, ostré riffy i melodie. Nezapomíná ale i na pochmurně krvavé nálady. Nová nahrávka "Rise of the Mutated" je tak i přes svoji krutost velmi pestrá, zajímavá a spousta pasáží se mi zadřela pod kůži, dostala do žil i do podvědomí. Stejně jako vždy velmi oceňuji ryzost, opravdovost, upřímnost a naprostou autenticitu této desky. Řeže se tu přímo do živého, útočí rovnou na solar plexus. Mám pocit, že mi někdo stojí těžkou okovanou botou na prsou, nemohu dýchat, dusím se vlastní krví i zkaženými myšlenkami. Potkávám své vlastní démony a užíváme si dobře čitelný a masivní zvuk, i stylový zajímavý motiv na obalu. Vše sedí perfektně na svých místech, album je vybroušené k dokonalosti. EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY připomínají perfektně seřízený stroj na zabíjení, který k nám přijel ze samotného pekla. Smrt má mnoho podob a tu kterou nám přinášejí tihle tmáři, tak je hnusná, ošklivá, mokvající. Budete zavřeni ve starých kobkách, mučeni, znásilněni hudbou, aby nakonec vaše tělo předhodili hladovým psům. Toulám se podsvětím skoro 35 let a tuhle desku budu doporučovat všem pravověrným na potkání. Má v sobě totiž všechno, co mám na tomto stylu tolik rád. From an ancient cave, cursed long ago, comes the roar of a beast. For centuries, it has been fed on human flesh, pain, and hatred. As a species, we haven’t changed much. We still wage war against one another, still bow down to idols long since fallen. We torture the innocent, rape both body and mind, control others, and crave power. When I listen to the third full-length album by the demons of EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY from Chicago, I feel as if I’m at some kind of twisted black mass. The crosses are turned upside down, the holy water is the color of blood, and the priest smiles venomously.

The new album has a captivatingly dark and cold atmosphere. Death metal as performed by these maniacs is extremely cruel, ugly, and repulsive just like the most vile human thoughts. While listening, I feel as if I’m walking through a morbid death metal gallery of death. The individual exhibits feature mutilated bodies in various stages of decomposition: hangings, shootings, executions, and vivisections. If you like music that can blow your brains out, then you’ve come to the right place. The beast has awakened once again!

This band is made up entirely of experienced musicians (OPPRESSOR) who know exactly what they want to play and how. Blasphemous, raw death metal that will pin you to the wall. The songs are written with primal passion and a thirst for killing. The band emerged from the deepest underground; they don’t mess around, they’re uncompromising, and they feature extremely brutal vocals, sharp riffs, and melodies. But they don’t forget to incorporate gloomy, bloody atmospheres either. Their new album, "Rise of the Mutated", is thus despite its cruelty very diverse and interesting, and many passages got under my skin, seeping into my veins and my subconscious. As always, I greatly appreciate the purity, genuineness, sincerity, and absolute authenticity of this record. It cuts right to the quick, striking straight at the solar plexus. I feel as if someone is standing on my chest with a heavy, iron-shod boot; I can’t breathe, suffocating in my own blood and corrupted thoughts. I encounter my own demons, and we enjoy a clear, massive sound, as well as a stylish, intriguing cover design. Everything fits perfectly into place; the album is polished to perfection. EMBRYONIC AUTOPSY resembles a perfectly calibrated killing machine that has come to us straight from hell itself. Death takes many forms, and the one these dark forces bring us is so vile, ugly, and oozing. You’ll be locked up in ancient dungeons, tortured, raped by music, only to have your body ultimately thrown to the hungry dogs. I’ve been wandering the underworld for nearly 35 years, and I’ll be recommending this album to every true believer I come across. It has everything I love so much about this style. Cruelty, pent-up rage, dark energy, and bone-crushing power. From an ancient, long-cursed cave, the beast’s roar echoes. For centuries, it has been fed on human flesh, pain, and hatred. As a species, we haven’t changed much. We’re still at war with one another, still bowing down to long-fallen idols. We torture the innocent, rape both body and mind, control others, and crave power.
