Nůž, který ti pomalu zajížděl do břicha, byl rezavý, starý a ihned ti způsobil sněť. Zemřel si ale nakonec na selhání srdce. Vyděšený, opuštěný a zapomenutý. Stal si se další obětí v řadě, zatímco s tvým vrahem dělají rozhovory, píší o něm knihy a je hvězdou televizních pořadů. Brutální, zlý a bezcitný, přesto obdivovaný, se spoustou fanoušků a obdivovatelek. Tvoje tělo spálili na popel a nezůstal po tobě ani stín, ani prchavý otisk.

Velmi spalující, surová, nekompromisní a divoká je i nová nahrávka skotských death metalových maniaků SCORDATURA. Měl jsem před lety tu čest potkat kapelu i na koncertě u nás v České republice a musím potvrdit, že jejich vystoupení bylo plné temné energie, zdravého vzteku a riffů, u kterých odpadávalo maso od kostí. S novým albem to mám úplně stejně. Také mě přikovalo na zeď, rozsekalo na kusy a pohodilo moji mrtvolu u cesty, jako nějakou nepotřebnou loutku.

"Led into Oblivion" je přesně tím druhem alba, které když si pustíte, tak budete mít pocit, že jste se ocitli v prudké lavině, mezi kamením, polámanými kostmi, bělostnými lebkami a zkaženou krví. Tohle je tsunami, které vás smete z povrchu zemského. Vše doplňuje masivní, nahrubo nasekaný zvuk, který řeže do živého. Paolo Girardi je podepsán pod velmi zajímavým motivem na obalu. Líbí se mi moc! Hlavní jsou ale, ostatně jako vždycky, nápady, melodie, hudba samotná. Skladby jsou velmi dobře napsány, mají v sobě potřebný drive, sílu, takovou tu pradávnou touhu ničit a zabíjet. SCORDATURA volně čerpali inspiraci u kapel typu CANNIBAL CORPSE, DYING FETUS, MALEVOLENT CREATION, ABORTED, SUFFOCATION, DEICIDE. Dělají to velmi elegantně, zkušeně, s poctivostí mistrů v oboru. Přidávají také velkou spoustu svých vlastních, dobře napsaných nápadů a invence. Výsledný koktejl vás nenechá na pochybách. Přirovnal bych poslech k návštěvě nějaké staré jeskyně, o které se v legendách vypráví, že v ní spí, hluboko v podzemí, šílená krvelačná bestie. Téhle smečce se povedlo ji probudit a vytáhnout na světlo. Po této desce zůstává jen spálená země a mozky propláchnuté kyselinou. Je to trepanace lebky, na hranici šílenství, možná i kousek za ní. Poslední roky mám divný pocit, že se svět řítí do záhuby, jakoby přestaly platit po staletí ověřené principy. Než ale nastane apokalypsa, budu tuhle nahrávku poslouchat stále dokola. Má v sobě něco morbidně přitažlivého, co mě nutí se neustále vracet. Nůž, který ti pomalu zajížděl do břicha, byl rezavý, starý a ihned ti způsobil sněť. Zemřel si ale nakonec na selhání srdce. Absolutní masakr, album, které trhá maso od kostí!

The new album by the Scottish death metal maniacs SCORDATURA is also intensely scorching, raw, uncompromising, and wild. Years ago, I had the honor of seeing the band perform at a concert here in the Czech Republic, and I can confirm that their show was full of dark energy, healthy rage, and riffs that made the flesh fall from your bones. I feel exactly the same way about the new album. It also pinned me to the wall, chopped me into pieces, and tossed my corpse by the roadside like some useless puppet.

"Led into Oblivion" is exactly the kind of album that, when you play it, makes you feel like you’ve been swept up in a raging avalanche, amid rocks, broken bones, bleached skulls, and corrupted blood. This is a tsunami that will wipe you off the face of the earth. All of this is complemented by a massive, raw, choppy sound that cuts right to the bone. Paolo Girardi is responsible for the very interesting cover art. I really like it! But what matters most, as always, are the ideas, the melodies, and the music itself. The songs are very well written; they possess the necessary drive, power, and that primal urge to destroy and kill. SCORDATURA drew loose inspiration from bands like CANNIBAL CORPSE, DYING FETUS, MALEVOLENT CREATION, ABORTED, SUFFOCATION, and DEICIDE. They do it very elegantly, skillfully, with the integrity of masters of the craft. They also add a great deal of their own well-crafted ideas and creativity. The resulting mix leaves no room for doubt. I’d compare listening to this to visiting an ancient cave, the kind of place legends say is home to a mad, bloodthirsty beast slumbering deep underground. This pack has managed to awaken it and drag it into the light. All that remains after this album is scorched earth and brains washed out with acid. It’s a trepanation of the skull, on the edge of madness maybe even a little beyond it. In recent years, I’ve had this strange feeling that the world is hurtling toward destruction, as if principles proven over centuries no longer apply. But before the apocalypse comes, I’ll keep listening to this recording over and over. There’s something morbidly compelling about it that compels me to keep coming back.
