Příběh dvoustý šedesátý devátý - Vila paní hraběnky
Měli jsme to tenkrát nastavené tak, že když jsme poslouchali nějakou hudbu, tak jsme se podle ní snažili i žít. Měl jsem to tak já, i mí kamarádi. S death metalem jsme chodili do starých kostelů kolem Boleslavi, na hřbitovy (nejoblíbenější byl ten opuštěný, židovský) a s thrashem se zase pařilo po hospodách a klubech. Zahraj vole, něco pořádnýho. A barman pronesl něco o tom, že je potřeba zase nakrmit prasata a pustil něco od podlahy. Byla to sranda, měl jsem hodně energie. Takovou tu vnitřní sílu, kterou mladí lidé mívají. Nadšení a odhodlání se porvat s celým světem. Občas to bylo potřeba. Ale občas na mě, asi jako na každého, padly i chmury.
Každý byl navenek hroznej drsňák, tvrdej jako ocel. To k metalu patřilo. Ale co já pamatuju, tak když se pilo třeba celou noc, tak někdy takhle k ránu se lidé otevírali a nechávali průchod svým nočním můrám. Každý jsme měli něco. Smrt našich kamarádů, divný rodiče, děti sídliště, tuláci ulice. V takových chvílích přicházel na řadu doom metal. Mí oblíbenci Candlemass, Paradise Lost, Winter. Ti asi nejvíc. Jednu takovou pařbu jsme zažili zrovna nedávno. Pořádala ji Jana u sebe doma. Spousta chlastu, metalu, prdelky našich holek, bylo to moc krásný. Tomáš s Buddhou už dávno odešli, zavěšeni do sebe. Kluci měli rádi noc, to na ně nikdo blbě nekoukal. Vzhůru jsem zůstal já, Jana a Andrea. Prcalinka si šla lehnout s tím, že už dvakrát blila. Šikovné děvče.
A Jana začala. Byla nějaká smutná, už jí štvalo, že nemůže najít žádnýho normálního chlapa, jak říkala. Samej debil, co jí jen koukal na kozy, ale v hlavách nasráno. Pořád se kolem ní točila spousta kluků, byla fakt kost, ale když přišlo na lámání chleba, tak po prvním zásunu utekli. Co dělám blbě, asi je vyděsím, vždyť chci jen kousek normálního posranýho štěstí. Rodinu a děti, obyčejnej život, kterýmu jsme se ještě před pár lety posmívali. Stejně je to divný, Jana je fakt chytrá holka, krásná, taková ta samice, která by s klidem mohla (měla) natáčet porno, aby udělala víc lidem radost. Nojo, ale ona taky měla mozek a to chlapům moc dobře nedělá. Snažím se jí utěšovat, ale jsou tu slzy. Lahev ubrečenýho vína, Candlemass, doom metalové šedivé ráno.
Usne s náma v posteli, já ji mám pořád moc rád, asi jsem si ji měl v nějakým tom mezidobí, co jsem zrovna netokal, vzít. Mohli jsme se mít krásně. Přemýšlím o tom, když ráno čůrám do záchodu, co moc nesplachuje. Opravím plovák, hergot, ty bys fakt potřebovala chlapa. Ne ale nadržený padesátníky, co si chtěj ještě dokázat, že mají na mladou ženskou. Sladký řeči, kecy, kecy, kecičky. Vstává a musí do sprchy. Potom jdeme my. Hele, venku je hezky, pojď, půjdeme se projít. Oblékne se do upnutýho trika. Má fakt krásný prsa. Andrea tak trošku pořád závidí a v posteli se mě na to pořád ptá. Jdeme směrem na Starý město, tam je o víkendu klid. Prázdné ulice, všichni ještě spí.
A slunce nám svítí do obličeje. Snažím se být vtipnej a rozveselit svoji kamarádku. Taky dávám takový ty debilní rady, aby si našla normálního, obyčejnýho kluka. Nojo, ale s těma je zase nuda. Končíme tím, že ženský vlastně neví, co chtějí a dáme si radši v non stopu pivo. Už je jí lépe. Hele holky, měl bych pro vás překvapení, řeknu, když jsme tak nějak automaticky zabloudili do vilové čtvrti na Rozvoj. Kdysi, jako parta šesti bratránků, jsme tady měli takovej dětskej gang. Úplně vzadu, na konci ulice, je obrovský prvorepublikový barák, s neskutečně zarostlou zahradou. Vím, kde je ve zdi díra. To se vám bude líbit, je to tam tajemný, magický a je tam spousta stromů s ovocem. Pořádali jsme tam kdysi tajné výpravy za dobrodružstvím.
K doom metalu i pořád ještě nezahnanému smutku, který má Jana v obličeji, tahle procházka krásně sedne. Díra ve zdi pořád je. Akorát se tam už nevejdu. Musím přelézt. Děláme něco zakázanýho, tetelíme se napětím. Krása, přátelé, kdo nezažil, nepochopí. Chvěje se mi uvnitř v břiše malý zvířátko. Nemám strach, ale nevíme, co nás čeká. Je tam altánek, zarostlý břečťanem, divokými růžemi. Děláme, že jsme šlechtici, vyndám ze žebradla lahváče a napijeme se. Bože, tady je to krásný. Neupravený, opuštěný, záhadný a tajemný. Magický místo. Tady určitě žijí duchové. Dobří i zlí. Smutní. Zdi vypráví. Oprýskaná omítka. Jana i Andrea stojí v úžasu. Obě něco šeptají a dýchají hluboko. Je krásný se na ně jen dívat.
"Pojďte dovnitř!": řekne Jana a ve mě zatrne. To jsme si s klukama nikdy nedovolili. My tak maximálně na zahradu, jablka očesat, výpravu udělat a zmizet. Ale co, když už jsme tady. Vezmu šutr a poruším zákon. Okenní tabule na terase vypadne skoro sama. Dýchne na nás dlouho nevětraný vzduch zatuchliny. "Tady budou duchové, úplně to cítím": pošeptá mi Andrea do ucha a já na ní vidím, jak je vzrušená. Přivítá nás obrovská hala, krb a dubový stůl. Docela se divím, že to tu ještě nikdo nevykradl. Běhá mi mráz po zádech. Jsme tiše, pořád v nás doznívá včerejší doom metal. Každý je pohroužený do sebe, přemýšlí a nábožně našlapuje. Narušili jsme soukromí starého domu na konci ulice. Jdu nahoru.
Obrovské dveře zavrzají a jsme v ložnici. Vypadá to, jakoby někdo odjel narychlo. Pak objevím něco, co jsem asi neměl v životě vidět. Na nočním stolku leží ohmataný sešit s nápisem Můj život. Asi bych neměl, ale hrozně mě to láká. Otevřu první stránku a najednou jsem mimo, v jiném světě, v jiné dimenzi. Paní hraběnka měla zajímavý život. Za války to ještě šlo, ale po roce 1948 si zažila doslova peklo. Má úhledné písmo, se spoustou kudrlinek. Nejkrásnější jsou pasáže, když píše o svém manželovi. Nejsmutnější, když přišla o dítě. Ke konci často vzpomíná na dětství, asi jako každý, kdo ho měl hezké. Části o vězení a různém ponižování od komunistických sviní jsou hrozně děsivý. Nejdřív nechápe, modlí se, ptá se proč? Jak se mohlo dopustit, že tupá hovada mohla týrat tak nádhernou, vznešenou a vzdělanou ženu?
"Pojď už pryč!": volají na mě. Dočtu poslední kapitolu, kdy se paní hraběnka loučí se životem a děkuje všem, kdo ji měli rádi. Vyběhneme ven a já mám pocit, že stojí na terase a mává nám na rozloučenou. Vyprávím všechno svým kamarádům ve Startu a většina mě moc nechápe. Dělají si srandu, ale já budu mít od toho dne navěky zafixovaný doom metal s jedním starým domem na konci ulice. Jana se konečně usměje, ona ví, ona tam byla s náma. Najednou zjistí, že svět není zase tolik zlej, že se má vlastně moc dobře. Je mladá, hezká, zdravá. Má všechno před sebou. Máme svobodu. Může si vlastně dělat, co chce. A kluků je na světě přeci spousta. Dám ji pusu, takhle se mi líbíš, buď taková, jaká jsi, buď jako paní hraběnka. Pohladí mě a řekne mi, že si mě měla vzít. Andrea nás sjede pohledem a zatáhne mě domů. Hrají nám k tomu Candlemass.
Vize je taková, že každou neděli vyjde jeden příběh (pokud mi do toho tedy něco nevleze). Všechny pak budou postupně doplňovány zde (pravý sloupec na stránkách):
Navštívil jsem nedávno kostel v sousedním městě. Pod zemí se nacházela stará kobka, studená, temná a plná mrtvých vysušených těl. Stál jsem a nasával atmosféru. V podobných místech musely být nahrávány black metalové desky, u kterých vám při poslechu přeběhne mráz po zádech. Smrduté a zlé, ošklivé jako samotná smrt. Najednou jsem měl pocit, že se těla posadila a šeptala. Zlé modlitby, čím dál tím hlasitěji. Ne, neutekl jsem pryč, sem přece patřím, do nekonečných chodeb podsvětí.
Patří sem i američtí black metalisti SARCOPTES. Ti letos přicházejí se zbrusu novým materiálem, s EP "Plague Hymns", které je až po okraj narvané upřímným ryzím černým kovem a thrash metalem. Deska má doslova mrazivou atmosféru. Přidejte hlasitost a zhasněte všechna světla.
"Plague Hymns" je opusem ve stylu třeba takových EMPEROR, NIFELHEIM, DISASTER, DESTROYER 666, IMMORTAL, ABSU, ABBATH, starších SATYRICON. Na své si opravdu přijdou všichni milovníci záhrobních rituálů, melancholicky laděných riffů a chorobného vokálu. SARCOPTES navíc mají velký cit pro melodie a troufám si tvrdit, že vás k přehrávači doslova přikovají. Jasně, je to dílo určené pro přesně definované obecenstvo, bez jakýchkoliv přesahů, ale nevidím v tom žádný problém. Dvojice dlouhých skladeb postupně graduje, má spoustu temných zákoutí, ničí a pálí a zároveň chladí jako kus ledu. Kvalitní je jak zvuk, tak i obal, tady je hodně znát, že si dali ve studiu Zack Ohren a před plátnem Zé Burnay hodně záležet. Album má v sobě taky takovou tu ošklivost, hnilobu, praskající kosti. Je to vlastně jako vždycky, hrát technicky umí dobře dnes každý druhý muzikant, ale jen některý dokáže složit songy, které se člověku zadřou pod kůži. "Plague Hymns" je vznešeným dílem, se vším, co k tomu patří. Musím ten kostel z úvodního odstavce znovu navštívit. A už teď vím, co budu mít ve svém přehrávači. Black/thrash metal, který vás strhne do hlubin! Velmi dobře!

Pokud se vám líbí kombinace black metalu, thrashe, tmy, chladu, špíny a odhodlání zničit onen svět, tak rozhodně neváhejte. Tahle smečka má v sobě opravdu obrovskou sílu. Songy obsahují až magickou, velmi přitažlivou atmosféru. Člověk si připadá, že stojí někde na vrcholu skály, rozhodnutý, že každou chvíli skočí dolů. Pod námi je jen tma, záhrobí a smrt. Slyším zde také absolutní odhodlání a patrné stopy zimomřivého šílenství. Black metal je v podání SARCOPTES chladný, zákeřný, zlý ze své podstaty, ale také přemýšlivý, nutkající, neklidný a ošklivý. Připadám si jako oběšenec, houpající se v ledovém větru. Black metal, který ochladí vaše duše! Velmi dobře!

Začalo to před pár lety. Všechny narozené děti měly nějakou poruchu. Divný zastřený pohled a propadaly záchvatům zuřivosti. Nepsané hranice slušného chování už nikoho nezajímaly a stíral se rozdíl mezi realitou a světem plným počítačových her a virtuálna. Závislost na obrazovkách, lehké ovládání masy, jsi další na řadě kamaráde. Už si starý a nepotřebný, neznáš spoustu cizích slov. Nová doba, nový pořádek. Degenerace lidstva už dávno začala. Chceš ještě žít v tomhle divném světě? Bránit ti nebudeme. A nezapomeň svoji smrt sdílet.
Občas podobný klasický brutální death metal potřebuji narvat do žil. Když je ještě dobře zahraný, tak jak to umí ruští OSSUARY ANEX, není co řešit.Vrátí měpokaždé o několik let nazpátek, když ještě smrtící kov zněl jako řev bestie a svět byl v pořádku. Novinka je opět neskutečně nasypaná, kulervoucí a pestrá.
"Obscurantism Apogee" vás vykostí zaživa, vytrhá vám nepotřebné orgány z těla. A to všechno podobným stylem, jako to dělávaly kapely typu SUFFOCATION, SKINLESS, DISGORGE, PYREXIA. Deska má chtěně temnou atmosféru, je opravdu velmi dobře napsaná a perfektně se poslouchá. Rusové nevymýšlejí sice nic nového, ale za některé pasáže by se nemusely stydět ani technicky laděné skupiny. Navíc se skvělým syrovým zvukem. Náhodě nebylo ponecháno vůbec nic. Jen musíte mít rádi starý poctivý brutální death metal klasického střihu. Vezměte jed na to, že nakonec všichni skončíme na stejných pitevnách, jen naše generace bude mít na tváři ledový úsměv. Ještě jsme zažili realitu, živé koncerty, kam si lidé jezdili užít pořádný nářez. Svět se mění, ale dobrá hudba zůstává. Jsem pokaždé vždycky hrozně rád, když potkám maniaky jako OSSUARY ANEX. Mám potom alespoň po dobu poslechu pocit, že ještě někdo dělá svoji práci poctivě, že umí řemeslo a dokáže do muziky propašovat i chlad, temnotu a opravdovou smrt. "Obscurantism Apogee" smrdí jako kus shnilého masa. Brutálně death metalový masakr, po kterém zůstane jen spáleniště. Masakr!

Pokud máte rádi brutální death metal v jeho klasické podobě, mohla by vám třetí dlouhohrající deska ruských OSSUARY ANEX určitě vyhovovat. Je totiž plná morbidně chytlavých melodií, neskutečného tlaku a nepostrádá tolik chtěnou syrovost. Líbí se mi, že Rusové přesně vystihli atmosféru opuštěné ulice, kde se stala vražda. Inspirace SUFFOCATION, SKINLESS, DISGORGE, PYREXIA je sice cítit na každém kroku, ale album se velmi dobře poslouchá a vstřebává. Proti provedení, zvuku, ani obalu nemám žádných námitek ani připomínek. Všechno odsýpá, jak má, valí se to, jako lavina. Album bych s klidem doporučil všem amatérským patologům i fanouškům brutality v death metalu. Všechny skladby opravdu hodně řežou, jsou ostré a nekompromisní. Co si víc přát? Nic mě vlastně nenapadá. Novinku „Obscurantism Apogee“ si opravdu užívám. Líbí se mi jistá samozřejmost, s jakou nám OSSUARY ANEX předkládají tyhle kousky krvavého masa. Brutální death metal, který útočí přímo na solar plexus! Velmi dobrá deska! Doporučuji!

If you like brutal death metal in its own classic way you could like this third long play album by Russian OSSUARY ANEX. It is full of morbid catchy melodies, unbelievable pressure and it doesn´t lack of rawness. I like that these Russians catch the atmosphere of abandoned street where the murder happened. You can feel the inspiration of SUFFOCATION, SKINLESS, DISGORGE, PYREXIA on every corner but this album is very easy to listen and absorbed. I have no objections about the whole work, sound or the cover. Everything flows how it should and it is like an avalanche. I would recommend this album to amateur pathologists or fans of brutality in death metal. All of those songs cut you, they are sharp and uncompromising. What else we want? There is nothing more to be said. This new album „Obscurantism Apogee“ is very enjoyable for me. I like the commonplace which is noticeable in OSSUARY ANEX´s work and how they show us the pieces of bloody meat. Brutal death metal which attack right on the solar plexus! Very good album! I have to recommend it!

"Naše první natáčení ve studiu Davos bylo spíše dílem náhody, byť někteří členové tam již z dávných dob měli nějaké zkušenosti. S výsledkem jsme byli velmi spokojení, ale druhé album jsme natáčeli jinde, protože se nám naskytla zajímavá možnost ozkoušet si fungování pod labelem a věci s tím spojené. Naše očekávání bohužel malovala výslednou realitu až v příliš růžových barvách a nemít vše plně ve vlastních rukách nám taky moc nesedlo, takže když šlo o natáčení Mohamordu, byl návrat do Davosu věcí, nad kterou jsme se shodli tak rychle, že je i zatěžko vybavit si, jestli okolo toho byla vůbec nějaká diskuse. Otyn nám jako člověk skvěle sednul a nesmírně si pochvalujeme jeho přátelský a zároveň profesionální přístup. Svoje pak samozřejmě i sehrálo, že má Otyn bohaté zkušenosti s hraním i nahráváním, takže nám často byl schopen poskytnout i zajímavou zpětnou vazbu."
Někdy kolem půlnoci se probudím a nemůžu spát. Slyším divné zvuky. Starý dřevěný dům, ve kterém se kdysi stala hrozná vražda, vypráví děsivé příběhy. Posedlost démony, krev na zdech. Nářek a pláč, zvuky, ze kterých vám běhá mráz po zádech. Byl to hodný a svědomitý chlap, všichni se dodnes diví, jako mohl uříznout brokovnici a uprostřed noci vykonat své šílené dílo. Venku bliká lampa a já poslouchám death metal. Vše se mi spojilo v jedno. Zažívám další horor převedený v realitu.

THE GLORIOUS DEAD nám připravili nechutný koktejl old school death metalu volně inspirovaného třeba takovými MORBID ANGEL, ENTOMBED, GRAVE, MASSACRE, BOLT THROWER, DEATH. Pánové se pohybují mezi starými hroby elegantně a se samozřejmostí. Do nečisté hry vás uvede a na poctivý smrtící masakr připraví už parádně vyvedený obal od Nate Burnse. Na hromadu vyskládané kostry jasně definují, co se bude na desce odehrávat. Ryzí, skvěle zahraný death metal, s parádním zvukem - Spenser Morris (mixing), Andrew D'Cagna (mastering). Kapela působí od začátku do konce jako posedlá démony. Album jsem poslouchal převážně v noci, za absolutní tmy. Vynikly tak nejlépe jednotlivé zákeřné nuance. Z "Into Lifeless Shrines" je cítit, že muzikanti nasávali základy death metalu v devadesátých letech. Je upřímnou výpovědí o starých časech, kdy se hrálo od srdce. Songy se sypou jako lavina z kostí, ale nezapomíná se ani na temnotu a chlad. Dostanete tak do rukou dílo, které si nejvíce užijí fanoušci klasické smrti do země. Cítím na jazyku pachuť krve a smrti. Démoni se probudili! Skvělá smrtící pocta stínům!

THE GLORIOUS DEAD is an American death metal band that plays according to ancient methods and rules. This year, they come with its first full-length record, which is filled to the brim with darkness, dirt, dust and stench, which you can only feel in places where some bad deeds have happened.
THE GLORIOUS DEAD prepared a disgusting cocktail of old school death metal loosely inspired by such as MORBID ANGEL, ENTOMBED, GRAVE, MASSACRE, BOLT THROWER, DEATH. The gentlemen are moving between the old graves elegantly and with certainty. The excellent cover art made by Nate Burns will introduce you to an unclean game and prepare you for an honest deadly massacre. On the skeletons pile, they clearly define what will happen on the record. Pure, well-played death metal, with great sound - Spenser Morris (mixing), Andrew D'Cagna (mastering). The band acts like demon-possessed from start to finish. I listened to the album mostly at night, in complete darkness. Thus, the individual insidious nuances stood out the best. From "Into Lifeless Shrines" you can feel that the musicians were absorbing the basics of death metal in the nineties. It is an honest confession of the old days when it was played from the heart. The songs spill out like an avalanche of bones, but the darkness and coldness are not forgotten either. You will get a record that will be most enjoyed by fans of classic death. I can smell blood and death on my tongue. The demons have awakened! A great deadly tribute to the shadows!

Ave, can you introduce your band to our readers? – When was it founded and what style of music do you play etc.?
Hello, we are Liquid Flesh, a three piece death metal band from Grenoble, France. The band was founded in 2014, with the idea to play raw & simple death metal. We recorded a first album “Spontaneous Liquefaction” and did some shows, after which the band went on a break. The founding members Glaviar (Drums) & Gastric Luke (Guitars) exhumed the band in 2018 with a new bass player/singer Putrid Bruce. After months of rehearsal, where the idea of the band evolved a little bit, tending to be more obscure and complex while staying “right in your face”, the band recorded a new album “Chair Liquide”, which we are proud to present today.
Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?
This album was recorded in Grenoble in the old rehearsal room of the band in 2019. Gastric Luke was in charge of the recording, then mixed and mastered it in his home studio.
How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?
We released 500 copies of Chair Liquide in a digipak format with Metal is the Law Productions. A small release of tapes should be arriving soon but we are still searching for some labels to work with to do tapes, vinyl, exclusive merch… Don’t hesitate to contact us!

Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?
Putrid Bruce is the author of the lyrics. They were created in a classic way. We usually jam around some riffs, then create a structure around it with some mumbling voices. At the end, he writes the lyrics and if needed, we refine the songs.
But it’s not a rule and the creative process of the future songs would surely be different.
Who created the logo of the band, and who took care of the graphics and the website? What about you and social networks? Do you consider these things important?
As the production, Gastric luke was in charge of the graphic and imagery around the band. He is a graphic designer and a visual artist for a long time, so it was quite natural for him to manage it.
Visuals are very important for us, as it adds an extra atmosphere & interpretation to our music.
Social networks are also important today. For example because of the COVID, it is almost the only way for us to communicate around our music. We don’t have a problem with using it, as long as it stays a tool.
Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takes care about you?
We are currently working with Metal is the Law productions for our digipak releases. We are very satisfied by them. It’s a small label, like we are a starting band and it’s very interesting to learn and evolve together.
Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?
We don’t idolise bands, but of course as we play a 30 years old music style we took inspirations of many bands. We could name Death Strike, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Incantation, Undergang, Carcass, Entombed...
Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?
We sent our record to many labels, but few answers, saying that they had already a full schedule or were not interested. It is while playing live in Bordeaux with promo tapes we made in 2019 that we met Bastien of Metal is the Law Productions, which contacted us a few weeks later to offer us a deal.
How many gigs have you played? Which type of gigs do you prefer, whether it's (clubs or festivals) and which of your performances would you consider as the best?
We didn’t play a lot of gigs with Liquid Flesh, maybe a dozen. According to the actual context the type of gigs we prefer doesn’t really matter, we just want to play in front of people as quickly as possible.
Yet our best memory of performances was with Agressor & Sublime Cadaveric Decompositon. It was such an honor to play with these two legends of french extreme metal.
What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?
We really want to play live ! More seriously and because of the time we have now we are preparing some new songs, so maybe “Chair Liquide” could have a little brother faster than expected.

Ruce měl celé od krve, ale usmíval se. Tahle pitva se opravdu povedla. Nejdříve rozřízl tělo od krku až dolů. Vytáhl vnitřnosti. Pořádně zkontroloval shnilá střeva. Nařízl lebku a byl překvapen, jaký je uvnitř tlak. Tenhle člověk musel poslouchat jenom pravý, ryzí a nefalšovaný brutální death metal. Měl pravdu, nebožák měl na boku vytetovaný nápis japonské kapely BLOOD CARNIVAL.Pokračoval dál,oddělil maso od kostí, vše hezky vyskládal na sterilní stůl. Co na tom, že pitvaný ještě žil?
Historie kapely BLOOD CARNIVAL sahá až do let 1997 - 2004 (v roce 1999 vydali svoje první demo "Death Blaster", kdy pánové působili na scéně poprvé. Potom si dali na dlouhé roky pauzu, aby se vrátili s dalším demonahrávkou (2017). Bestie spala mnoho let, aby se letos probudila a hodila mezi nás jako kus syrového masa smrtí nasáklou desku "Blood Awakening", která si mě ihned získala svým tradičním přístupem, surovým zvukem i temnotou.
"Blood Awakening" je albem ze stejných piteven jako SUFFOCATION, DEEDS OF FLESH, CANNIBAL CORPSE. Jedná se o takovou brutálně death metalovou klasiku, velmi dobře zahranou, s poctivě chladnou atmosférou. Deska si mě ihned přetvořila k obraz svému, líbí se mi motivy skladeb, riffy mě bolí a drásají, jakoby mě někdo opravdu řezal skalpelem do živého masa. Je slyšet, že jsou BLOOD CARNIVAL zkušenými patology, kteří ale zároveň neztratili vášeň pro pitvy. Mám pro podobně znějící brutální death metal staré školy velkou slabost. Líbí se mi, jak je nahrávka drsná, surová, bez jakýchkoliv zbytečností. Nenašel jsem vlastně žádné slabé místo, i když je samozřejmě jasné, že podobných smeček naleznete všude velké množství, Japonci mě dokázali přitáhnout k přehrávači, udržet moji pozornost. Vytřeli se mnou podlahu, vymáchali mi ksicht v krvi. Pokud máte v oblibě pestrou paletu morbidních nálad, tak rozhodně neváhejte. Tady se pitvá zaživa! Jednou jsem viděl film, ve kterém oběť zavázali do obrovského pytle. Potom do ní mlátili palicemi, dokud nevypustila duši. Můj pocit z "Blood Awakening" je hodně podobný. Brutalita, tma a smrad rozkládajícího těla! Totální masakr!

"Blood Awakening" is an album from the same autopsies as SUFFOCATION, DEEDS OF FLESH, CANNIBAL CORPSE. It is such a brutally death metal classic, very well played, with an honestly cool atmosphere. The record immediately transformed me into its own image, I like the motifs of the songs, the riffs hurt and scratch me, as if someone really cut me with a scalpel into live meat. It can be heard that BLOOD CARNIVAL are experienced pathologists who have not lost their passion for autopsies. I have a great weakness for similarly sounding old school brutal death metal. I like how rough, raw the recording is, without any unnecessary things. I didn't actually find any weak points, although of course it's clear that you can find a lot of similar bands everywhere, the Japanese were able to draw me to the player, to keep my attention. They wiped the floor with me, rinsing my face in my blood. If you like a varied palette of morbid moods, then don't hesitate. Autopsy is alive here! I once saw a movie in which the victim was tied to a huge bag. Then they beat him with sticks until he released his soul. My feeling about "Blood Awakening" is very similar. Brutality, darkness and the stench of a decomposing body! Total massacre!

Hello, I'm Pako Deimler, yes of course, first of all thank you for this interview and for giving DEIMLER the opportunity to appear in DEADLY STORM ZINE, it is a pleasure.
Ok, let's see, DEIMLER was formed back in 1998, it was active as a band until the end of 2001 approximately, we were 5 members, very young and inexperienced and with little means, we tried to make Thrash with Death Metal dyes, but we stayed very far of that. I barely have decent audio files from that era. The band was stopped until 2008, which was when I decided to put it into operation again, with new members and myself at the helm. In DEIMLER the question of the composition, writing and recording of all the music is my thing, the rest of the members are battle partners in DIMENSSION, and they will help me live, but they do not take part in the composition.
DEIMLER is Old School Death Metal, I prefer the Finnish Swedish side as an influence, since it is the Death Metal that I like the most

Ok, a ver te cuento, DEIMLER se formó allá por 1998, estuvo activa como banda hasta finales de 2001 aproximadamente, eramos 5 miembros, muy jovenes e inexpertos y con pocos medios, intentabamos hacer Thrash con tintes Death Metal, pero nos quedamos muy lejos de eso. Apenas conservo archivos de audio decentes de esa época. La banda quedó parada hasta 2008, que fue cuando decidí ponerla en funcinamiento de nuevo, con nuevos miembros y conmigo al frente. En DEIMLER la cuestión de la composición, escritura y grabación de toda la música es cosa mía, el resto de los miembros son compañeros de batalla en DIMENSSION, y me ayudarán en el directo, pero no toman parte en la composición.
DEIMLER es Death Metal Old School, me decanto por la vertiente sueco finlandesa como influencia, puesto que es el Death Metal que más me gusta.
Where and under what conditions were you recording the new album? Who was in charge of sound, production and mastering?
I have recorded the Ep „Zero One“ in my own studios, so the recording conditions have been ideal. The sound, mixing and mastering has been a matter of Javi Félez from Moontower Studios, he is the producer and the one who has been in charge of everything related to the sound, the drums have also been recorded there, the other instruments and the voice in my studios
El Ep „Zero One“ lo he grabado en mis propios estudios, por lo que las condiciones de grabación han sido idoneas. El sonido, mezcla y masterización a sido cosa de Javi Félez de Moontower Studios, él es el productor y el que se ha encargado de todo lo referente al sonido, las baterías también se han grabado allí, los demás instrumentos y la voz en mis estudios.
How many copies were released and which medium was used for this new edition (CD, digital, vinyl, cassette)?
The Awakening Records label of China, has been in charge of the CD edition, an initial circulation of 1000 copies has been made, they are being distributed internationally.
Slovakia's Immortal Souls Productions label is handling the tape release, it will be an ultra limited edition of 70 tapes only.
I am proceeding to make a print run on vinyl, co-released with several labels, there are 3 interested labels and it is possible that the vinyl is a Split, but it is necessary to find another label that is interested in co-publishing, this format is complicated, since it is very expensive and difficult to sell, but I will not stop trying, to see what happens. Who is the author of the lyrics and how were they created and about what do the lyrics deal with?
Like music, the lyrics are written by me, they are about science fiction, but with a personal background and always oriented to a Death Metal approach, I know that I have not invented anything new, but I wanted to do something different, I'm tired of most of bands of the genre always talk about the same thing, death, destruction, zombies, corpses, guts, viscera, murders, wars, etc. I just wanted to give it a different approach.
The concept of the band and the lyrics is focused on a world halfway between the film sagas of Alien and Matrix, although this is extrapolated to almost everything related to science fiction cinema of the '70s,' 80s or even '90, basically that's my world inside DEIMLER.
Al igual que la música las letras las escribo yo, tratan sobre ciencia ficción, pero con un trasfondo personal y siempre orientadas a un enfoque Death Metal, se que no he inventado nada nuevo, pero quería hacer algo distinto, estoy cansado de que la mayoría de bandas del género siempre hablen de lo mismo, muerte, destrucción, zombis, cadáveres, tripas, visceras, asesinatos, guerras, etc. Solo quería darle un enfoque distinto.
El concepto de la banda y las letras está enfocadas en un mundo a medio camino entre las sagas cinematograficas de Alien y Matrix, aunque esto es extrapolable a casi todo lo relacionado con el cine de ciencia ficción de los años '70, '80 o incluso '90, básicamente ese es mi mundo dentro de DEIMLER.

El logo fue creado por Cesar Valladares. El arte de la portada y el de los clips de video han sido cosa de Jose Antonio Vives, la verdad es que ambos artistas son unos grandes profesionales, estoy muy contento con el resultado, enseguida supieron plasmar en imagenes lo que tenía en mente, es importante trabajar con profesionales. Which label did you choose for releasing your album and why this label? Are you satisfied by how your label represents you and takés care about you?
I wrote to more than 200 record labels from all over the planet, of those 200 there were only 2 labels really interested in releasing the Ep, the rest simply did not answer and the few that answered were not interested, each one with their circumstances. But the conditions of these 2 interested labels were not excessively good, I decided to wait a little longer to see if someone would be interested. One fine day Awakening Records from China wrote to me, we talked, their conditions seemed acceptable to me and I decided on them, ironically, I had not contacted this label, they were the ones who wrote. Yes I am happy with the treatment and the conditions achieved, despite the distance and the language we have been able to do a good job together, I am happy.
Espcribí a más de 200 sellos discográficos de todo el planeta, de esos 200 sólo hubo 2 sellos realmente interesados en editar el Ep, el resto simplemente no contesto y los pocos que contestaron no estaban interesados, cada uno con sus circunstancias. Pero las condiciones de estos 2 sellos interesados no eran excesivamente buenas, decidí esperar un poco más a ver si alguien se interesaba. Un buen día Awakening Records de China me escribió, hablamos, sus condiciones me parecieron aceptables y me decidí por ellos, ironicamente, con este sello no había contactado, fueron ellos los que escribieron. Sí estoy contento con el trato y con las condiciones conseguidas, apesar de la distancia y el idioma hemos podido hacer un buen trabajo juntos, estoy contento.
Which bands do you idolise and where do you get your inspiration?
My favorite Death Metal bands are several, I like the American and the English, the Spanish too, of course, the ones that I really idolize are the Swedish and Finnish Death Metal bands. CARNAGE, DISMEMBER, DEMILICH, CARTILAGE, ENTOMBED, GRAVE, ADRAMELECH, FUNEBRE, etc. Thanks to this music DEIMLER exists. It can be said that my inspiration comes from everything I have heard throughout my life, everything that catches my attention, everything is important, I do not close myself to anything, always within which is Metal and Rock.

Did you send your record to some Labels - which are the labels? How was the response?
The truth is that the response of the labels has not been very good, it is very difficult to attract attention and for a decent label to be interested, in the middle of a pandemic it is difficult to bet on something new, but I am not complaining I have managed to do a little noise and someone to notice DEIMLER, that's already much more than what I had before starting.
La verdad es que la respuesta de los sellos no ha sido muy buena, es muy dificil llamar la atención y que algún sello decente se interese, en medio de una pandemia es dificil que se apueste por algo nuevo, pero no me quejo he conseguido hacer un poquito de ruido y que alguien se fije en DEIMLER, eso ya es mucho más que lo que tenía antes de empezar.

With the current line-up under the name DEIMLER, we have not yet been able to premiere live, things are very difficult for everyone and nothing is clear. We really want to play live and we have spoken with many people to try to find something, but at the moment nothing is clear.
Concerts luckily I have played in quite a few, but with other of my bands DIMENSSION, FAMISHGOD, DIS GOB, THE FUNERAL RITES, ALLDEAD, etc. With DEIMLER I played a lot at the end of the '90s, but that's a long way off.
I have no preference for any type of concert in particular, they all seem wonderful to me, it is a great experience and if they pay you for your work and effort even more ha ha ha.
Con la actual formación bajo el nombre de DEIMLER, aún no hemos podido estrenarnos en directo, las cosas están muy dificiles para todos y no hay nada claro. Tenemos muchas ganas de tocar en directo y hemos hablado con mucha gente para intentar encontrar algo, pero de momento no hay nada claro.
Conciertos por suerte he tocado en bastantes, pero con otras de mis bandas DIMENSSION, FAMISHGOD, DIS GOB, THE FUNERAL RITES, ALLDEAD, etc. Con DEIMLER toqué bastante a finales de los años '90, pero eso queda ya muy lejos.
No tengo preferencia por ningún tipo de concierto en concreto, todos me parecen maravillosos, es una esperiencia grandiosa y si te pagan por tu trabajo y esfuerzo aún más ha ha ha.
What about your plans for the future? What do you want to achieve with the band?
At the moment I am immersed in the recording and writing of a new album, it will be a disc of 10 songs, they are already composed, it will be a brutal album and very DEIMLER. On November 2 we started the recording of the drums at Moontower Studios, Gabriel Artina will be in charge of drums, who becomes part of the DEIMLER family.
And for the future I will continue writing music until the forces leave me, I am already thinking about the next album while I record this ha ha ha.
With DEIMLER I would like to achieve what I have not been able to do so far with any of my bands, I have been in this world since 1996, forming bands, playing for free, writing music that nobody or few people listen to or value, seeing how those bands dissolve. For different reasons, enduring arguments at home, at first with my parents, later with my ex-wife, at the same time with bandmates who are like brothers and who end up stopping talking to you, it is hard to do something that you dedicate your body to and your soul and from which you see no results, you leave your life in it but it is useless. I am satisfied if I can get DEIMLER to play live again and have the backing of a decent label, the rest will come if it wants and if not I will continue, as before.
De momento estoy inmerso en la grabación y escritura de un álbum nuevo, será un disco de 10 canciones, ya están compuestas, será un disco brutal y muy DEIMLER. El 2 de noviembre comenzamos la grabación de las batería en los Moontower Studios, se hará cargo de las baterías Gabriel Artina, que pasa a formar parte de la familia de DEIMLER.
Y para el futuro seguiré escribiendo música hasta que las fuerzas me dejen, ya estoy pensando en el siguiente disco mientras grabo este ha ha ha.
Con DEIMLER me gustaría lograr lo que no he podido hacer hasta ahora con ninguna de mis bandas, llevo desde 1996 metido en este mundo, formando bandas, tocando gratis, escribiendo música que nadie o poca gente escucha o valora, viendo como esas bandas se disuelven por distintos motivos, aguantando discusiones en casa, al principio con mis padres, después con mi exmujer, al mismo tiempo con compañeros de banda que son como hermanos y que terminan por dejarte de hablar, es duro hacer algo a lo que le dedicas tu cuerpo y tu alma y del que no ves resultados, te dejas la vida en ello pero de nada sirve. Me conformo si consigo que DEIMLER toque en directo de nuevo y tener el respaldo de un sello decente, lo demás ya vendrá si quiere y si no seguiré camino, como hasta ahora.

Probudíš se uprostřed noci ze smutného snu. Za oknem prší do mlhy. Musíš ven. Mezi staré stromy, k vlastnímu hrobu. Po tvářích ti stéká krev. Chutná sladce. Někteří lidé nikdy nenajdou klid. Jsou jako pavučiny, které vlají ve větru. Hledají, šourají se po zaprášených cestách celého světa, snaží se utéct před stereotypem, aby nakonec spočinuli na stejném hřbitově jako všichni ostatní. Je v nich zvláštní, svým způsobem přitažlivý smutek. Pod vážnou maskou ale nalezneme i žhavou, tepající lávu.
Alespoň podobně to mám já s doom metalem. Musí být pro mě černo šedým snem, našeptáváním, hraním si s pochmurnými náladami. S melodiemi, které proniknou do mých kostí, s přitažlivou atmosférou. Když jsem poprvé slyšel nové album belgických MARCHE FUNEBRE, všechno tohle jsem z jejich novinky "Einderlicht" cítil. Na tradičních základech byl vystavěn doom metalový opus, okořeněný blackem, doomem, rockem a absolutním nihilismem.
"Einderlicht" je pro mě pestrým, nebál bych se napsat osobním albem. Kapela se přesně trefila do mého současného rozpoložení. Je tu podzim a ráno bývá sychravo. Jsem jako zvíře, které se připravuje na zimu. Propracované, inteligentní texty, bolestivý křišťálově průzračný zvuk, perfektně zpracované vokály i obal. Ne, novinka pro mě není jen obyčejnou hudbou, je něčím navíc, má v sobě temnou jiskru. Pokaždé se musím zastavit a koukám chvíli do kraje. Je ještě tma a za hřbitovní zdí šli spát všichni neklidní. Pokud máte rádi kapely jako MY DYING BRIDE, NOVEMBERS DOOM, MOURNING BELOVETH, SATURNUS, KATATONIA, nebudete určitě zklamáni. V potoce najednou teče krev, možná mi hrozí samovznícení. Víte, vnímám muziku spíše srdcem a "Einderlicht" je určena pro všechny, kteří si rádi hrají s fantazií. MARCHE FUNEBRE umí být zemití, suroví, ale i vznešení, zákeřní, ale i neskonale smutní. Jako když odchází život, jako když se probudíte z temného snu. Myslím, že další slova jsou zbytečná. Jdu znovu položit květiny na svůj vlastní hrob a snít. Chci se stát neviditelným, poutníkem ve stínu. Dokonalá esence smutku a tmy!

I'm like an animal who preparing themselves for winter. Sophisticated, intelligent lyrics, painful crystal clear sound, perfectly processed vocals and cover. No, the novelty for me is not just ordinary music, it is something extra, it has a dark spark in it. Every time I have to stop and look at the landscape for a while. It was still dark and behind the cemetery wall everyone went to bed restless.
