Už toho bylo příliš. Moc práce, moc stresu, moc bolesti kolem. Negativní energie tě dostihla. Padal si pomalu k zemi. Uprostřed ulice, uprostřed tepajícího města. Z uší ti tekla krev a poslední, co si viděl na našem světě, byl dav lidí, kteří si tě natáčeli. Procházíš dlouhou chodbou a myslíš si, že konečně najdeš klid. Vždycky sis představoval, že u posledního soudu obstojíš. Teď tě drásají do krve kostnaté ruce nemrtvých. Žádné světlo na konci tunelu, žádné rozhřešení. Jenom utrpení a tma.
TOMB MOLD na mě vždy působili jako přízraky ze záhrobí. Jejich death metal je pokaždé velmi drásající, propracovaný, inteligentní a živočišný zároveň. Letošní demo pokračuje v nastaveném směru. Kanaďané nadále rozvíjejí svoje zvrácené hudební myšlenky. A dělají to velmi elegantně a vkusně. Krájí tmu na hrubé kusy.
Když poslouchám "Aperture of Body", připadám si jako účastník nějakého krvavého a tajemného hororového filmu nebo sci-fi z osmdesátých let. Vše je zahalené do smradlavé mlhy a riffy se rozléhají podzemím jako ozvěny výkřiků hříšníků. Na TOMB MOLD je skvělé to, že jsou svým způsobem originální, nezařaditelní. Mají svůj vlastní výraz a to se v dnešní době cení nadevše. Přesto si dovolím vzdáleně přirovnat třeba k takovým CYNIC, ATHEIST, případně DEMILICH, DISMA, DEMIGOD, INCANTATION, ale i DISMEMBER, CARCASS. Ve skladbách se potkávají jak základní, tradiční vlivy, tak i progresivnější forma smrtícího kovu. Vše zároveň perfektně sedí dohromady. Posluchač se sice musí dostat pod povrch, ale jakmile dojde k "vzájemnému přenosu", zavládne nadšení. Alespoň já jsem tak novou demonahrávku vnímal. Celou dobu se pohybujeme na tenké hranici mezi bděním a nočními můrami. Zvuk i obal jsou samozřejmě v nejlepším pořádku. Kapele se opět povedlo mě přikovat na zeď, otevřít moji hlavu a narvat do ní svoji muziku pod tlakem. Všechna společná setkání si neskutečně užívám. Smrt je stále velmi blízko. TOMB MOLD zhmotnili tmu i nenávist. "Aperture of Body" má na mě doslova uhrančivý účinek. Velkolepá death metalová jízda temnotou!

In the middle of the street, in the middle of the beating city. Blood coming out of your ears and the last thing you saw in our world was a crowd of people filming you. Walking down a long corridor, thinking you'd finally find peace. You always imagined you'd stand the last trial. Now you're being torn to the bone by the bony hands of the undead. No light at the end of the tunnel, no absolution. Only misery and darkness.
TOMB MOLD always struck me like ghosts from beyond the grave. Their death metal is always very moving, sophisticated, intelligent, and animalistic at the same time. This year's demo continues in the set direction. The Canadians continue to develop their twisted musical ideas. And they do it very elegantly and tastefully. They slice the darkness into rough pieces.
When I listen to "Aperture of Body", I feel like a participant in a bloody and mysterious horror or sci-fi movie from the 80s. Everything is shrouded in a stinking fog and the riffs echo through the underground like the screams of sinners. The great thing about TOMB MOLD is that they are original in their own way, unclassifiable. They have their own expression, and that's what's valued above all these days. Still, I dare to remotely compare them to such bands as CYNIC, ATHEIST, or DEMILICH, DISMA, DEMIGOD, INCANTATION, but also DISMEMBER, CARCASS. Both basic, traditional influences and a more progressive form of death metal meet in the songs. Everything fits together perfectly at the same time. The listener does have to get beneath the surface, but once the "inter-transmission" occurs excitement reigns. At least that's how I perceived the new demo. All the time we walk a fine line between waking and nightmares. The sound and packaging are of course in the best of order. The band has once again managed to pin me to the wall, open my head and cram their music in under pressure. I'm enjoying all the sessions together immensely. Death is still very close. TOMB MOLD materialized darkness and hatred. "Aperture of Body" literally has a spellbinding effect on me. A magnificent death metal ride through the darkness!
