Uprostřed starého hřbitova stojí dřevěný kříž zasvěcený všem prokletým. Je obrácený směrem dolů a když se setmí, tak začne hořet jasným černým plamenem. Z márnice se začnou ozývat šílené skřeky a mrtví vylézají z děr. Mají obličeje zohavené nenávistí, vztekem a šílenstvím. Přišli se pomstít za všechnu bolest, kterou jsme jim způsobili. Upálení na hranici, oběšení na stromech, mučeni ve starých prašivých kobkách. Ve jménu zvrácené víry, ve jménu dávno padlé modly.

Nové album démonů SHED THE SKIN jsem očekával s velkým napětím. Každý jejich zásek se vždy stává na dlouhou dobu mojí nejposlouchanější hudbou vůbec. Novinka není výjimkou. Pánové pokračují ve své cestě, která je lemována vybělenými kostrami hříšníků a která směřuje rovnou do nejtemnějšího pekla.

Satan zase jednou sedí na svém trůnu a usmívá se. Není divu, letošní album "The Carnage Cast Shadows" je i jeho jasnou definicí. Nahrubo nasekaná tma se zde potkává s chladem. Jako bych navštívil ruiny kdysi prokletého kostela a znovu nasával veškerou pochmurnou a blasfemickou náladu místa, kde se odehrávaly ty nejkrvavější satanistické rituály. Kapela ve složení bubeník Kyle Severn (INCANTATION, Perdition Sect), kytarista Matt Sorg (Ringworm, Perdition Sect, Soulless, ex-Blood of Christ), zpěvák/kytarista Ash Thomas (CRUCIFIED MORTALS, SURGIKILL, THE VLADIMIRS, FaithXtractor) a baskytarista Ed Stephens (Ringworm, Shok Paris, Vindicator, Vanik), odvedla opět perfektní morbidní práci. Povedl se jak masivní a zcela zničující zvuk, který dodává nahrávce na ještě větší uvěřitelnosti, tak i obal (Justin Meyers), který vnímám jako znázornění příchodu Satana na zem. Zkrátka a dobře, pokud máte v genech zakódovaný smrtící kov ve stylu CIANIDE, CARCASS, INCANTATION, ASPHYX, NECROPHAGIA, EXHUMED, DEICIDE, DIABOLIC, ACHERON, PERDITION TEMPLE, CRUCIFIER, IMPRECATION, potom jste zde správně. Nové album "The Carnage Cast Shadows" doporučuji podávat podchlazené a nejlépe na víku od rakve. Tohle je hudba, která se bude hrát všude, až se všichni prokletí vrátí na zem, aby se pomstili. Zůstane po nich, stejně jako po této desce, jenom spálená země a hluboká krvavá rýha. Nemohu opět jinak, než vám novinku doporučit. Vynikající záhrobní záležitost! Krutí démoni se stanou i vašimi nočními můrami! Temný a syrový death metal, absolutní definice tmy a zla!

The new album of demons SHED THE SKIN was awaited with great anticipation. Each of their hits always becomes my most listened to music ever for a long time. The new one is no exception. The gentlemen continue their journey, which is lined with bleached skeletons of sinners and which heads straight to the darkest hell.

Satan is once again sitting on his throne and smiling. Not surprisingly, this year's album "The Carnage Cast Shadows" is also his clear definition. Coarse chopped darkness meets coldness here. It's like visiting the ruins of a once cursed church and once again soaking up all the gloom and blasphemy of a place where the bloodiest satanic rituals took place. The band, consisting of drummer Kyle Severn (INCANTATION, Perdition Sect), guitarist Matt Sorg (Ringworm, Perdition Sect, Soulless, ex-Blood of Christ), singer/guitarist Ash Thomas (CRUCIFIED MORTALS, SURGIKILL, THE VLADIMIRS, FaithXtractor) and bassist Ed Stephens (Ringworm, Shok Paris, Vindicator, Vanik), did a perfect morbid job once again. The massive and utterly devastating sound was done, which adds even more believability to the record, as well as the cover art (Justin Meyers), which I see as a representation of Satan's arrival on earth. In short, if you've got CIANIDE, CARCASS, INCANTATION, ASPHYX, NECROPHAGIA, EXHUMED, DEICIDE, DIABOLIC, ACHERON, PERDITION TEMPLE, CRUCIFIER, IMPRECATION-style death metal encoded in your genes, then you've come to the right place. I recommend to serve the new album "The Carnage Cast Shadows" hypothermic and preferably on a coffin lid. This is the music that will be played everywhere when all the damned come back to earth for revenge. All that will be left, like this record, is scorched earth and a deep bloody gash. Once again, I can't help but recommend the news to you. An excellent sepulchral affair! Cruel demons will become your nightmares too! Dark and raw death metal, the absolute definition of darkness and evil!
