Včera si našel další mrtvolu. Zohavené tělo ve značném stádiu rozkladu. Příčina smrti byla zcela jasná. Nekonečné mučení. Všichni to omlouvají válkou, ale prostým faktem je, že je v lidech ukryta temnota, která když vyleze na povrch, tak je děsivá, bestiální, šílená. Jako bychom v sobě měli stále něco primitivního, zuřivého. Existuje hudba, která dokáže svojí atmosférou podobné nálady znázornit. Do rukou se mi dostala debutová nahrávka italských maniaků MARTORIATOR.

Ihned jsem se ocitl na bojišti. Kolem mě umírali další a další lidé, roztrháni na kusy. Hromady mrtvol byly spalovány a pach smrti se šířil všude kolem jako nějaká hnusná choroba. Tohle je death metal bez jakýchkoliv kompromisů. Je to šílená jízda přímo do pekla. Budete mučeni ostrými riffy, bicí vám vystřelí mozek z hlavy a krvelačný vokál vám dá jasně najevo, že zde se žádného slitování nedočkáte. Stejně jako v každé hnusné válce, která momentálně probíhá v různých koutech světa.

Tahle kapela žádné zajatce nebere. Není třeba, při poslechu stejně nakonec všichni zemřou. Je to divoký, z určitého pohledu až primitivní death metal s prvky nihilistického grindcore a noise i black metalu. Tady žádné naivní představy o hrdinství nenajdete. Budete se po kolena brodit v bahně smíchaném se zkaženou krví. Uvidíte mozek vystřelený z hlavy, utrhané končetiny. Zažijete na vlastní kůži všechen ten hnus a špínu, všechnu bolest a utrpení, které válka vždy přináší. Skladby jsou napsány velmi uvěřitelně, opravdově, s jediným účelem - zabít vás hudbou. Zajímavé jsou texty (Gau-18A), které rozhodně stojí za bližší prostudování. Zvuk je velmi masivní, přesto dobře čitelný. Je v něm obsažena požadovaná temnota i chlad. Podepsán je pod ním Davide Billia at MK2 Recording Studio. MARTORIATOR jsou kapelou, která si dala velký pozor na to, aby byly všechny formální věci v pořádku. Hlavní je ale nakonec vždy hudba samotná a zde vás přikove na zeď, roztrhá na kusy, rozemele na prach. Není to záležitost pro slabé povahy, ani pro čtenáře lesklých komerčních metalových časopisů. Tohle je totální blasfemie, vytažená odněkud z toho nejhlubšího podzemí. Jednotlivé skladby se vám budou vracet jako noční můry vojáků, které je provázejí do konce života. Budete pohřbeni za živa, oběšeni před nastoupenou jednotkou. Tady se trestá dezerce krutou a bolestivou smrtí. "Bloodpainted Visions of Perpetual" se vám dostane do mozku, jako nějaký prudký jen. A zanechá po sobě dlouhou krvavou stopu. Doporučuji poslouchat pořádně nahlas! Opravdový, hnusný, nekompromisní válečný death metal, který vás roztrhá na kusy! Příkaz zněl jasně, všechny zabij!

He found another dead body yesterday. A charred body in a significant state of decomposition. The cause of death was quite clear. Endless torture. Everyone excuses it as war, but the simple fact is that there's a darkness hidden in people that, when it comes out, is terrifying, bestial, insane. It's as if we still have something primitive, fierce inside us. There's music that can represent that kind of mood with its atmosphere. I got my hands on the debut record of Italian maniacs MARTORIATOR.

I immediately found myself on the battlefield. More and more people were dying around me, torn to pieces. Piles of corpses were being burned and the smell of death was spreading all around like some kind of nasty disease. This is death metal without any compromise. It's a mad ride straight to hell. You'll be tortured by the sharp riffs, the drums will blow your brains out and the bloodthirsty vocals will make it clear that there's no mercy here. Just like in every ugly war that is currently going on in different parts of the world.

This band takes no prisoners. There's no need, they're all gonna die anyway. It's a wild, from a certain point of view almost primitive death metal with elements of nihilistic grindcore and noise and black metal. You won't find any naive notions of heroism here. You'll be knee deep in mud mixed with corrupted blood. You'll see brains blown out of heads, limbs torn off. You will experience firsthand all the filth and squalor, all the pain and suffering that war always brings. The songs are written in a very believable, real way, with one purpose - to kill you with the music. The lyrics (Gau-18A) are interesting and definitely worth a closer look. The sound is very massive, yet easy to hear. It has the required darkness and coldness. It is signed by Davide Billia at MK2 Recording Studio. MARTORIATOR are a band that took great care to get all the formal things right. But in the end the music itself is always the main thing and here it will nail you to the wall, tear you apart, grind you to dust. This is not a matter for the weak of character, nor for readers of glossy commercial metal magazines. This is total blasphemy, pulled from somewhere deep underground. The individual tracks will come back to you like the nightmares of soldiers, haunting them for the rest of their lives. You'll be buried alive, hanged in front of your unit. Here, desertion is punished by a cruel and painful death. "Bloodpainted Visions of Perpetual" will enter your brain like a violent yen, leaving a long trail of blood. I recommend listening really loud! Real, nasty, uncompromising war death metal that will tear you apart! The command was clear, kill them all!
