Až jednou exhumují tvoje zohavené tělo, tak budou přemýšlet, jak si zemřel. Budou pátrat a postupně zjistí, že si byl před svojí smrtí mučen, že si nedostával najíst a že si byl nakonec pohřben zaživa. Tvoje ostatky jim budou vyprávět jeden z děsivých příběhů prokletých. Rouhal ses padlému bohu, aby tě nakonec zabili pro tvoje svobodné myšlenky. Když poslouchám druhé dlouhohrající album polských maniaků PANDEMIC OUTBREAK, tak si na tvůj nebohý život a smrt také vzpomenu.
Pokud máte rádi staroškolský death a thrash metal, který je perfektně zahraný, složený a přesně zacílený, potom vítejte v záhrobí. Poláci hrají uvěřitelně, opravdově, reálně, autenticky. Umí napsat velmi dobře poslouchatelné skladby, které se mi ihned doslova zadřely pod kůži. Chladné melodie se zde potkávají s ostrostí a surovostí. To vše zabalené v pevných pavučinách smrti.
Je to agresivita, chlad, temnota, i takový zvláštní neklid, který se vznáší celou nahrávkou jako děsivá noční můra, které mě pokaždé k albu přikovou. Stačí se podívat na excelentní motiv na obalu (Dan Goldsworthy), potom si vychutnat masivní, hutný a dobře čitelný zvuk (Haldor Grunberg - mixing, mastering), abyste začali souhlasně kývat hlavou. Pokud jste jako já, staří metaloví psi, tak zde možná vystopujete lehkou inspiraci třeba takovými VADER, MORBID ANGEL, MASSACRE, MERCILESS a samozřejmě plesnivými thrash metalovými klasiky. Kapela potom přidala pořádnou porci vlastních, velmi zajímavých nápadů. Mě tak opět nezbývá zase jednou nic jiného, než se dívat do tmy, spokojeně se kývat do rytmu a užívat si mrtvolně prašivé melodie. Pánové na to jdou ostře, nekompromisně, nikde nic nepřebývá, ani nechybí a útočí rovnou na solar plexus, ale nezapomínají ani na podmanivě morbidní atmosféru. Tohle je album pro všechny pravověrně, pro fanoušky, kteří ještě neztratili jedinou pravou, ortodoxní víru v čerstvě exhumované hroby. Někdy, když jdu velmi brzo do práce a poslouchám "Torment Beyond Comprehension", tak mám neodbytný pocit, že mě někdo sleduje. Jsou to nemrví, kteří vylezli z prokletých hrobů, aby následovali hudbu, která mi hraje do uší. Líbí se mi způsob, jakým jsou skladby napsány, užívám si mlhavě těkavé, do krvavých odstínů zabarvené nálady. Na téhle desce naleznete všechno, co mám na extrémní hudbě rád. Budete prosévat mezi prsty prach svých předků. Až jednou exhumují moje zohavené tělo, tak budou přemýšlet, jak jsem zemřel. When I listen to the second full-length album by Polish maniacs PANDEMIC OUTBREAK, I also remember your poor life and death.
If you like old-school death and thrash metal that is perfectly played, composed, and precisely targeted, then welcome to the afterlife. The Poles play believably, genuinely, realistically, authentically. They know how to write very listenable songs that immediately got under my skin. Cold melodies meet sharpness and rawness here. All wrapped up in solid cobwebs of death.
It is the aggression, coldness, darkness, and even a strange restlessness that hovers over the entire recording like a terrifying nightmare that keeps me coming back to this album. Just look at the excellent cover art (Dan Goldsworthy), then enjoy the massive, dense, and clear sound (Haldor Grunberg - mixing, mastering), and you'll start nodding your head in agreement. If you're like me, an old metalhead, you might detect a slight inspiration from bands such as VADER, MORBID ANGEL, MASSACRE, MERCILESS, and, of course, moldy thrash metal classics. The band then added a good dose of their own very interesting ideas. Once again, I have no choice but to stare into the darkness, nod contentedly to the rhythm, and enjoy the deathly rancid melodies. The gentlemen go at it hard, uncompromisingly, nothing is superfluous or missing, and they attack straight at the solar plexus, but they don't forget the captivatingly morbid atmosphere. This is an album for all true believers, for fans who have not yet lost their true, orthodox faith in freshly exhumed graves. Sometimes, when I go to work very early and listen to "Torment Beyond Comprehension", I have the nagging feeling that someone is watching me. It's the undead who have crawled out of their cursed graves to follow the music playing in my ears. I like the way the songs are written, I enjoy the hazy, volatile moods tinged with bloody hues. This album has everything I love about extreme music. You will sift through the dust of your ancestors between your fingers. When they exhume my mutilated body one day, they will wonder how I died. They will investigate and gradually discover that I was tortured before my death, that I was not fed, and that I was eventually buried alive. Your remains will tell them one of the terrifying stories of the damned. Morbid, raw, and dark death thrash metal that will make coffin lids crack open! Demons dance on their own graves!
