V roce 2005, kdy byla původní verze tohoto alba vydána poprvé, jsem tuhle izraelskou smečku ještě vůbec neznal. Diskografii jsem si doplnil až později, když mě tenkrát v roce 2017 album "Six" smetlo z povrchu zemského. Abych přiznal pravdu, tak nejsem zase tak velkým fanouškem vkládání různých starověkých (a vlastně jakýchkoliv) vlivů do black a death metalu. Jsou ale kapely, mezi které právě ARALLU řadím, které tohle umí výborně. I letos mě znovu a opakovaně fascinuje agresivita, temperament a schopnost napsat skladby, které ve mě zanechávají hlubokou krvavou stopu.
Jako bych se díval na písečnou bouří, ze které se postupně zjevují tváře starodávných démonů. Bohové války se stále usmívají. Ani po mnoha staletích si lidé nedají pokoj a krmí je vlastním masem. Album není jenom znovu nahráno, ale i doplněno a upraveno, aby obstálo v dnešním podivném světě. Tohle je ďábelská bouře, která se zrodila v tom nejhlubším podzemí.
Základem je divoký, nespoutaný, skvěle napsaný a složený black metal, který odtrhává maso od kostí. Vystopovat můžete i různé folklórní a symfonické prvky, které jsou vkládány velmi umně a se zkušenostmi starých mistrů v oboru. Není žádným tajemstvím, že mám pro tuhle smečku slabost, že se mi líbí jejich rukopis, výraz, otisk, který ve mě pokaždé svojí hudbou zanechají. Jsme jedné krve, chce se mi řvát do tmy pokaždé, když zapnu na svém přehrávači play. "DMoon - From the Ancient World" je nahrávkou, která má v sobě pradávný vztek, načerpaný po staletí ve starých katakombách. Jedná se o záležitost, která by neměla chybět ve sbírce žádného opravdového fanouška. Pokud máte rádi kapely typu MELECHESH, ABSU, ANGELCORPSE, ROTTING CHRIST, NILE, MOONSPELL a nebojíte se opravdové, kruté smrti, tak neváhejte ani chvilku. Když si potom obě verze alba porovnáte, zjistíte, že novinka je důstojným a skvělým pokračovatelem. Jako bych při poslechu slyšel něco notoricky známého a zároveň vnímal i nové prvky a styl, jakým kapela hudbu podchytila. Ne, najednou nesedím ve svém pokoji, ve studeném městě v západních Čechách, v mlze a přicházejícím podzimu. Jsem někde v Izraeli a sleduji démony temnoty, jak znovu povstávají z popela a nekonečné nicoty. Nové album se tak pro mě stalo velmi osobním zážitkem, za který nezbývá než poděkovat. Tohle je hudba, která vás zahalí do nekonečné tmy. Shoříte v černých plamenech! Syrový, zlostný black death metal, u kterého povstávají z písečné bouře pradávní démoni!

In 2005, when the original version of this album was first released, I didn't know this Israeli band at all. I added their discography later, when the album "Six" blew me away in 2017. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of incorporating various ancient (or any) influences into black and death metal. However, there are bands, including ARALLU, that do this excellently. This year, I am once again fascinated by their aggression, temperament, and ability to write songs that leave a deep bloody mark on me.
It's as if I were watching a sandstorm from which the faces of ancient demons gradually emerge. The gods of war are still smiling. Even after many centuries, people still won't leave them alone and feed them their own flesh. The album has not only been re-recorded, but also supplemented and modified to stand up in today's strange world. This is a devilish storm that was born in the deepest underground.
The foundation is wild, unrestrained, brilliantly written and composed black metal that tears flesh from bone. You can also trace various folk and symphonic elements, which are inserted very skillfully and with the experience of old masters in the field. It's no secret that I have a soft spot for this band, that I like their style, expression, and the impression they leave on me every time with their music. We are of the same blood, I want to scream into the darkness every time I press play on my player. "DMoon - From the Ancient World" is a recording that contains ancient rage, drawn from centuries in the old catacombs. It is something that should not be missing from the collection of any true fan. If you like bands such as MELECHESH, ABSU, ANGELCORPSE, ROTTING CHRIST, NILE, MOONSPELL, and you are not afraid of true, cruel death, then don't hesitate for a moment. When you compare both versions of the album, you will find that the new one is a worthy and excellent successor. As if I were listening to something familiar and at the same time perceiving new elements and the style in which the band captured the music. No, suddenly I am not sitting in my room, in a cold city in western Bohemia, in the fog and approaching autumn. I am somewhere in Israel, watching the demons of darkness rise again from the ashes and endless nothingness. The new album has thus become a very personal experience for me, for which I can only be grateful. This is music that envelops you in endless darkness. You will burn in black flames! Raw, angry black death metal, where ancient demons rise from the sandstorm!
