Nedávno jsem objevil ve svém sklepě na chalupě bednu se starými kazetami. Některé byly jen špatnými kopiemi, některé už dávno shnily věkem, ale pár se jich zachovalo a tak jsem si zase jednou připadal jako starý hrobník, který objevil prašivou rakev plnou prokletých ostatků, o které nevěděl. S novou demonahrávkou finských tmářů CITRINITAS je to hodně podobné. Také je plná pradávných ozvěn za záhrobí, také smrdí sírou a je nasáklá zkaženou krví.
O kapele toho příliš zjistit nejde, jedná se o smečku, která vzešla z toho nejhlubšího undergroundu. Beru to na vědomí a postupně přidávám volume doprava. Z reproduktorů ke mě ztéká zkažená směs black metalu, deathu i doomových pochmurných nálad. Vše je zabalené v jakémsi sirnatém oparu. Nějak takhle si představuji, že zní hudba při pohřbech prokletých. Doporučuji vám naprostou tmu, chlad a teprve potom vyniknou jednotlivé bahnité nuance naplno.
Tři skladby ostré jako hřeby, které jednou budou zatlučeny i do vaší rakve, znějí velmi morbidně, mrtvolně. U nás kousek za městem, v nekonečných temných lesích, je močál, o kterém se říká, že jsou v něm pochovány tisíce padlých vojáků. Staly se tam kruté vraždy, hnusné násilí a pravdou je, že když jdete okolo, tak vás mrazí v zádech a tuhne vám krev v žilách. Přesně takhle se cítím i při poslechu dema "Unending Descent". Nálady jsou velmi pochmurné, záhadné, magicky démonické. Hudba zde není jen obyčejným zážitkem, ale spíše pradávným rituálem pro vyvolávání temných a zlých sil, které nejsou z našeho světa. Smrt je při poslechu velmi blízko a démoni tančí na prokletých hrobech. Jednotlivé skladby se mi dostávají postupně do krve a připadám si, jako bych se stal součástí nějakého děsivého hororového filmu. Kdysi dávno jsem si dal za úkol, že budu o podobných kapelách psát a musím rovnou dodat, že jsem z této nahrávky doslova nadšený. Má v sobě totiž absolutně vše pro záhrobní seance. Na povrchu je chladné a mrazivé, slizké a mokvající, uvnitř ale hoří pekelným ohněm. Jen doufám, že se od CITRINITAS dočkáme brzy i dlouhohrajícího alba, zajímalo by mě, jak budou jejich mrtvolné skladby znít ve větším prostoru. Zatím mi nezbývá, než pochválit zvuk, stylový motiv na obalu a nahrávku vám doporučit. Až zase jednou budu exhumovat nějakou starou rakev s nejasným původem, budu dávat velký pozor. Tohle je totiž hudba, která koluje i v mých žilách. Black death doom metalové album, u kterého potkáte své vlastní démony! Ozvěny z krvavých močálů!

I recently discovered a box of old cassettes in the basement of my cottage. Some were just bad copies, some had long since rotted away, but a few had survived, and so once again I felt like an old gravedigger who had discovered a moth-eaten coffin full of cursed remains he didn't know about. It's very similar with the new demo recording by Finnish obscurantists CITRINITAS. It is also full of ancient echoes from beyond the grave, it also stinks of sulfur and is soaked in rotten blood.
Not much is known about the band; they are a pack that emerged from the deepest underground. I take note of this and gradually turn up the volume. A rotten mixture of black metal, death metal, and doom-laden gloom flows from the speakers. Everything is wrapped in a kind of sulfurous haze. This is how I imagine the music at the funerals of the damned. I recommend complete darkness and cold, only then will the individual muddy nuances come into their own.
Three songs as sharp as nails, which will one day be hammered into your coffin, sound very morbid, deathly. Just outside our town, in endless dark forests, there is a swamp where it is said that thousands of fallen soldiers are buried. Cruel murders and heinous violence took place there, and the truth is that when you walk by, you feel a chill down your spine and your blood runs cold. That's exactly how I feel when listening to the demo "Unending Descent". The moods are very gloomy, mysterious, magically demonic. The music here is not just an ordinary experience, but rather an ancient ritual for summoning dark and evil forces that are not of our world. Death is very close when listening, and demons dance on cursed graves. The individual songs gradually get into my blood, and I feel like I've become part of some terrifying horror movie. A long time ago, I set myself the task of writing about similar bands, and I must say right away that I am literally thrilled with this recording. It has absolutely everything you need for a séance. On the surface, it is cold and frosty, slimy and oozing, but inside it burns with hellfire. I just hope that CITRINITAS will release a full-length album soon. I would be interested to hear how their corpse-like songs would sound in a larger space. For now, I can only praise the sound, the stylish cover art, and recommend the recording to you. The next time I exhume an old coffin of unknown origin, I will be very careful. This is music that runs through my veins. A black death doom metal album where you will encounter your own demons!
