Zdá se ti o děsivých bouřích, o tom, že apokalypsa postupně začíná. Plíživě, nejdříve jako zlý sen, jako noční můra, jako svědomí, které tě nakonec vždy dožene. Mraky jsou nízko, skoro se dotýkají země. Myslel sis, že prožiješ obyčejný, chvílemi nudný život, vychováš děti, zasadíš strom a postavíš dům. Místo toho ležíš v zákopech a vlastně ani nevíš proč. Kvůli několika mocným, kvůli území? Penězům? Svobodu už nikdy nezískáš, tvoje duše bude navěky spoutaná řetězy nenávisti.

Minulé debutové album polských black death metalistů SARMAT s názvem "RS-28" jsem poslouchal velmi často. Byl jsem tedy zvědavý, s čím tito tmáři přijdou letos. Sedl jsem si ve svém pokoji, zapnul na přehrávači play a ztratil se mezi temnými stíny. I novinka na mě působí uvěřitelně, zajímavě, podmanivě a drásavě. Najednou nejsem doma, ale ve své noční můře, na jednom z bojišť, kde umírají nevinní.

Základem je zde surový, prašivý death metal v jeho útočné odrůdě. Přidávána je black metalová atmosféra a typický polský rukopis, který v sobě mají kapely typu BEHEMOTH (na starších albech), HATE, AZARATH. Opět se jedná o nahrubo nasekanou tmu, o nakumulovaný vztek, posbíraný v těch nejhnusnějších katakombách současného světa. To vše velmi dobře zahrané, s masivním, ostrým a přesto dobře čitelným zvukem, s obalem, který nutí k zamyšlení. I letos splnili pánové všechny mé požadavky pro to, abych si zařadil jejich nové album do své soukromé diskografie. Jsou opravdoví, ryzí, uvěřitelní a naprosto autentičtí. Ve skladbách je drive, pradávná síla, touha ničit hudbou. Jsem na světě již příliš dlouho a někdy z něj bývám už unavený, ze vší té nenávisti, ze zbytečných válek, násilí, bolesti a ničení. Podobná alba, jako je "The Ornaments of Disturbing Perspectives" mi pomáhají přežít. Jakoby pokaždé, když tuhle nahrávku poslouchám, vystoupili z krvavé mlhy staří démoni. Spali dlouhé roky hluboko v podzemí, ale teď už se nemohou dívat na to, jakým směrem svět směřuje. Přišli nás zničit, stejně jako SARMAT svojí hudbou. Líbí se mi, jakým způsobem jsou skladby napsány, kolik v sobě mají zajímavých nápadů. Novinkou pánové potvrdili svoje místo v podzemí a já nemohu jinak, než vám letošní album doporučit. Ohně byly opět zapáleny a shoříte v plamenech! Zdá se ti o děsivých bouřích, o tom, že apokalypsa postupně začíná. Potkáváš své vlastní démony, kývají souhlasně hlavou, hraje se tu i pro ně. Pro všechny prokleté, pro nemrtvé i všechny, kteří jednou zemřou na bojišti. Temný black death metal s krvavě podmanivou atmosférou! Destrukce těla, destrukce mysli!

I listened to the previous debut album by the Polish black death metal band SARMAT, titled “RS-28”, very often. So I was curious to see what these dark forces would come up with this year. I sat down in my room, pressed play on my player, and lost myself among the dark shadows. This new release strikes me as authentic, intriguing, captivating, and harrowing. Suddenly, I’m not at home, but in my own nightmare, on one of those battlefields where the innocent die.

The foundation here is raw, gritty death metal in its most aggressive form. Added to this is a black metal atmosphere and the typical Polish style found in bands like BEHEMOTH (on their older albums), HATE, AZARATH. Once again, it’s brutally chopped-up darkness, accumulated rage gathered from the most vile catacombs of the modern world. All of this is performed exceptionally well, with a massive, sharp, yet clear sound, and a thought-provoking cover. Once again this year, these guys have met all my criteria for adding their new album to my personal discography. They are genuine, pure, believable, and utterly authentic. There’s drive in the songs an ancient power, a desire to destroy through music. I’ve been in this world for far too long, and sometimes I grow weary of it of all the hatred, the senseless wars, the violence, the pain, and the destruction. Albums like "The Ornaments of Disturbing Perspectives" help me survive. It’s as if every time I listen to this record, ancient demons emerge from the bloody fog. They slept for many years deep underground, but now they can no longer stand to watch the direction the world is heading in. They’ve come to destroy us, just as SARMAT does with their music. I love the way the songs are written and how many interesting ideas they contain. With this new release, the guys have cemented their place in the underground scene, and I can’t help but recommend this year’s album to you. The fires have been lit once again, and you’ll burn in the flames! You dream of terrifying storms, of the apocalypse gradually beginning.
